My cursor keeps disappearing with CS4 and CS5. This started after I installed Mountain Lion. I have noticed this on 2 different iMacs, one at home and one at work.
Just after upgrading to Yosemite from Mavericks on my Early 2009 Imac, I noticed that when in Photoshop (CC 2014) I was only able to use the pixelate>color halftone filter once or twice and then it stopped working. Now, I get no error and no effect in my file. It does however show the addition "color halftone" in my layers panel but again, nothing in my file. Can someone please help me find a solution?
After updating to PS CC 2014.1, the "Scale Styles" option in the "Image Size" window no longer works as it previously did. If I create a round rectangle with 4px radius corners, and then go Image Size > Scale 200%, the rectangle should scale by 200% (which it does) and the corner radius should scale from 4 to 8px (which it doesn't). Checking and unchecking the "Scale Styles" option makes no difference. They both don't scale the corner radius any more. This feature works as it should in PS CC, and as far as I know worked in PS CC 2014 until the latest .1 update. It seems to be caused by the live corners feature. Because if I was to edit the round rectangle so that live corners ability get's disabled on the shape, and then try scaling, it works as it should.
When the cropping preview is active and I zoom (cmd+ ; cmd- ; cmd 1; cmd 0), I get the following alert: "Could not complete the Zoom (...) command because of a program error." ...and the preview glitches (screenshot below). Photoshop CC 2014.0.0 Release Updated today, June 19th Mac Pro Late 2013 OS X 10.9.3 AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB
Photoshop CC 2014 showing error messages when trying to Open File dialog Errors like 1. Could not complete your request because of a program error. 2. *** Collection __NSArrayM: 0x608001847bf0 was mutated while being enumerated. Issue appeared after OS X update to Yosemite. I've tried complete reinstall of Adobe products but nothing helps.
On closing Photoshop CC (to prompt saving of multiple files), the Save As JPG pop up does not show estimated file sizes for each file (as was the case in CS5 and before). Is there any way to restore this?
Photoshop CC 2014: All in all the user interface is not consistent. The Photoshop colour picker from e.g. filter gallery (top) is not used in e.g. Picture frame and Flame (bottom) where instead the crappy standard Windows colour picker is used. All in all it feels like the usability and design is inconsistent and some (e.g.Picture Frame and Flame) are simply not up to the standard in Photoshop. The sliders look different, as do buttons dropdown menus, text fields etc. In Tree the angle is set using a plain slider and not the angle control from e.g. Inner shadow. Some filter windows have an icon at the top left corner while most don't. Some filters use a window of their own, some (e.g. Filter Gallery) show multiple filters in one window and others (Blur Gallery) integrate as panels docked at the side. Is this really representative of your ambitions and best effort in usability?
I believe I have found a bug on Photoshop CC 2014 with the Text Tool. I have already contacted Adobe Support, but here's how to reproduce it, just in case someone is getting the same problem 1- Open a PSD file with text layers. 2- Click on Image Menu, then select Duplicate. 3- Close the original file ( no the duplicated one ) 4- Try to modify those text layers on the duplicated file, ( color, font or even the text ) ... I end up getting an error box : " Could not complete your request because of a program error." I could reproduce it on all my Macs running OS X 10.9.3 and Photoshop CC 2014. I can't deny I'm very disappointed with Adobe Customer Care, because took me more than 2 hours with the support, sending even video files reproducing the bug and trying to convince there's a problem with Photoshop CC 2014, and after all that time, I got a confirmation that there was a bug and a thank you very much message... Should be easier to report bugs to Adobe.
This log file gets recreated on every launch and is always empty. You shouldn't be writing empty files on a top level directory that's visible to users!
Photoshop CC completely crashes whenever I try to use photomerge with the 'geometric distortion correction' box checked. If I do not click that box, it completes the photomerge but the image is very distorted looking because there is no correction. If i do the photomerge in CS5 with the box checked it works just fine. I would like to use just one version of photoshop to complete this project but as it stands I have to work on my images in CC and then open CS5 to do the photomerge.
After installing Lion, selections with the Rectangular Marquee Tool generally are reduced by one pixel when the mouse button is released. For example, dragging a 25x25px square results in a 24x25px selection.
We are developing a Color Picker plugin for Photoshop. It works as expected and we can set the color from any entry point, apart from ONE! If you double-click a vector layer to set its color, it is not set. Step-by-step instructions: 1. Change color picker to a custom PS color picker plugin 2. Create a vector layer 3. Double-click the layer to set the color. It launches the color picker. 4. Select a color, click ok. 5. Color is not set. As mentioned, it works in all other places (foreground color, background color, text color, overlays, in other plugins etc). It also works for vector layers, but only if you change the fill color from the top toolbar and not by double clicking. It works with native OSX color pickers, but not when using a PS color picker. We are using the latest version of Adobe Photoshop CC on the latest version of OSX.
Mac OSX 10.8. Photoshop CS6
Hello, I hope I am in the right place for this: I am on a Mac 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, with 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. I just installed OS Mavericks. I am running Photoshop CS6. Randomly throughout using the program, my windows/palettes (i.e. the layers palette) will become white. Even the "Save" window menu will become white. It's still functional (if I press enter on the save menu, it will save), but I can't see any of the options. I've uninstalled the program and reinstalled. This has unfortunately not solved the problem. Please help Thanks for the help in advance! Michael
Photoshop CS6 deletes any pixels outside the image area when merging layers or layer groups.
When I preview an HDR image there is a big white block covering most of the image.
I have an outstanding case with Adobe technical support (very poor support).I append the case history to this summary: However to précis the problem. Since subscribing to PS CC I have been unable to split a video clip (with the scissors tool), when I try to do this I get a fatal error (ie PS freezes) by repeatedly clicking the OK in the error dialog the clip eventually splits but the error remains and I have to force quit out of PS. At Adobe's suggestion I have removed the preferences file (for PSCC), removed all previous versions of PS also used Adobes clean up tool to assist this, followed by uninstalling CC and reinstalling. A quirk is that on reinstall (this reverts to the early version of PS CC) the error goes away but when updating PS CC (being alerted to updates) the error returns.

Basically, the title says it all. When I have a "Group" of Vector Smart Objects and I attempt to change the pixel dimensions using the dialog boxes in the menu bar during Transform Mode, Photoshop crashes. To be exact with a step-by-step: 1. Select layer of a group (folder) of 2 or more Vector Smart Objects. 2. Press [Control][T] to enter Transform Mode. 3. Select the "chain-link" between the "width" and "height" dialog boxes. 4. Right-Click the "width" or "height" dialog box to change to "pixels". 5. Highlight the numerical portion of the pixel dimension (to retain the "px"). 6. Type in a numerical value for the desired pixels. Immediately upon typing a number, Photoshop stops and, after a brief moment, pops up a window which says: "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit." The hardware that CS6 is installed is a "new" MacBook Pro 15" OSX 10.7.5, 2.6 GHz, 8GB RAM, 1GB video. This is a work computer provided by my employer which has other security
Photoshop CC 14.2: To replicate this issue: - Create a new image with white background. - Paint something - Add a new layer - Paint something more on this layer - Merge down - Try to paint something on the background layer and the program spits out a generic software error (In swedish "Det gick inte att använda penseln därför att ett programfel uppstod"). This happens sometimes even when I have tree layers where i merge to bottom two, but then the top layer becomes unreceptive. Workarounds: Add a new layer and remove the same. If the problem occurs on the background layer: make it a regular layer. Setup: Mac OS X 10.9.1 Photoshop CC
A feature has disappeared since the latest Photoshop CC update (14.2) 16/01/2014. If you Free Transform a layer or Marquee, you are presented with X: Y: W: H: etc. values in the top bar. If you want to change the units (i.e. % to pixels) you would ordinarily right click to reveal the context menu with your options. This feature does not currently work.
photoshop CS6: 1. Vector shapes tool: when trying to select, an error displays. 2. When multiple TEXT layers are selected, changing font size does not work correctly.
Procedure: Create an image with white background. Click “M” and draw a rectangle anywhere inside this image. Click “G” and fill in the rectangle with black color. Now, zoom in to the interface between the border of the black rectangle and its white surrounding. Zoom in as much as you can. Use “F8” key to display the Info Window. Now, move the cursor over the interface several times. You can notice that sometimes the Info Window show RGB values of white color even the cursor is located inside the black rectangle. It mostly occurs at the very border of the rectangle. That’s weird, isn’t it? Now, click “I” to select the Eyedropper Tool. Move mouse cursor over the interface again and watch the Info Window. When you are located inside the border of the black rectangle and the Info Window shows 255,255,255 click on the image. The Eyedropper Tool will pick the color of the pixel and change the RGB values in Color Window. What will you see? The Info Window will show 255,255,255 (those are inco
PS CS6 (13.0.4) on OSX 10.6.8, MacPro 1.1 If I have a few paths, and try to create a selection from one of them by cmd-clicking it, every time I'm on a layer which has a vector mask, the selection is created off that vector mask (whether it's highlighted or not).
Photoshop CS6, Using windows 64 bit When image interpolation is set in the preferences to nearest neighbor and also set on the toolbar on top to nearest neighbor my image blurs when using free transforms. This happens when I reduce something more then 70% in RGB color mode. Also the Image was a 2 color neutral image (a jaquard weave). Thanks, Frederick
