When selecting several text layers, then switching to the text tool, the font-size displayed in the upper menu is wrong. It's usually more (last time it displayed 36pt, but both the layers were text composed in 14,3pt) I can provide psd for further investigation.
New iMac i7 and CS4. Tried to liquify and got the 'no more virtual tiles can be allocated' error message. I can't find a definition of virtual tiles. I have 16 gigs of RAM and 1 TB HD. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is the panel I'm talking about: The "vertical perspective" slider works as expected: sliding to the right makes the bottom of the picture bigger. Similarly, on the "horizontal perspective" slider, sliding to the right makes the right part of the picture bigger. However, the icon suggests the opposite: that the left is going to get bigger. Play with it for a second and you'll immediately see what I mean. They've just been accidentally switched in the UI, and need to be switched back. Of course, the functionality is all there, but this still trips me up almost every time. Seeing this in 13.0.3. Please fix.
Here's how to reproduce these conditions: 1) Draw some rounded rectangle. 2) Unlink the corner radius values and make one radius really big. 3) Re-link them again and make that big radius smaller again. The other corner radii will follow and while their values won't go below 0 in the input fields the actual shape will get distorted: Also after doing this my Rectangle tool (not Rounded Rectangle!) looks like this, although the shape snaps back to regular corners once it's been placed on the document: Using "Reset Tool" from the preset menu doesn't fix this.
In photoshop CS6, if you create, for example, three text layers and all of them have, let`s say 12px and then you pick one of them and increase the size of it with transform tool (I reapeat, not by adjusting value in the Character box, but by ctrl+T, transform tool) the new size of this layer will be, for instance, 15.22 px. Now, if you select all three layers and you want to readjust their size from the Character box by 14px, they don`t resize properly, I mean not all three fonts will have 14px in the end.
Issue: Using the new "Allow Tool Recording" feature in CS6 allows you to record brushstrokes. However, this functionality is broken with the clone and healing brush tools. Description: When recording use of the clone tool in an action with "Allow Tool Recording" enabled, replay of the clone tool gives "offset" results. Changing the zoom level, or moving the document on the canvas will give similar but different incorrect results on consecutive replays of the same action. Or, put another way - the action clones from the wrong place when replayed.
There seems to be a bug in the text tool in Photoshop CS6 that makes it impossible to select several text layers and set an exact font size for all the selected layers. Instead it's related to the scaling of the text field, which is extremely frustrating when you, as in every case, want to set a specific font size. I wonder what the rationale was behind this? In which situation would you want it like it is in CS6? All designers I've talked to don't understand the use-case for this. Who would actually want it like this? It worked really well in CS5 so please change it back to the way it was!!! By the way, the other new features like pixel snapping and the new crop tool is amazing improvements in CS6. More of that!
After update Photoshop cc to 14.1 the shortcuts "F5" and "alt-F5" are "delete" and "fill foregroundcolor". Before I had F5 for brushes and now it's not possible to overwrite the "delete"-command. Brushes only works if you have mark an area which you can't delete.
I'm hitting a hard, repeatable, crash. Happens every time I attempt to select a shape layer, with the shape arrow tool that is within a folder with a disabled layer shape mask on it. I apologize for my bad English, I help with google traslator. After you upgrade to the latest version 13.0.2 on my macpro, an annoying error that prevents me from working correctly, concerns the info window color. When you create a level of color correction in a group, in the info window are not properly reported to the correct values. In practice shows no change. Can I go back to the previous version without having to reinstall everything? Or the bug will soon correct?
When using the number pad to change layer opacity 0 used to put the layer back at 100% opacity, but now it makes it 0% and the only way to get it back to 100% is to click off the layer and then go back and hit 0 or adjust it manually, but who wants to do that? If you can make it work like it used to that would be great.
I'm opening a new topic regarding the new text problems introduced with Photoshop 13.0.5 (Mac) and 13.0.1.2, which seem like a result of attempting to fix earlier font-size reporting issues. This is worse than before, because: 1) It happens a lot more often (I can open a new file and reproduce the bug easily). 2) Now some properties are "scale aware" and some aren't, resulting in quite a messy experience when editing text. Bug A (OS X, 13.0.5): 1) Open a new photoshop file. 2) Create a text layer, type a word, commit. 3) Using the transform layer tool, scale the layer up significantly (say 200-300%) 4) Using the text tool, select the word, copy. 5) Using the text tool, click empty area to create a new text layer, paste. Expected: Same text size the layer I copied AFTER scaling it. Actual: Smaller text as the text layer was originally created. Bug B (OS X, 13.0.5): 1) Create a text layer with "add space after paragraph" to 10pt. 2) Scale the text layer using the transform tool to 300%.
I've opened a 72dpi CS5 PSD in Photoshop 13.0.4 (Mac, 64-bit), and what's a 12pt is reported as a 23pt text in the dialogs. Here's where it gets strange. I open the very same document in Photoshop 13.0.1.1 (Windows, 32-bit) and the same piece of text is correctly reported as 12pt. Here's where it gets stranger. If I create a blank 72dpi document in Photoshop 13.0.4 on Mac and create a 23pt text, it's rendered at the correct size (over twice bigger than the first document I spoke about). But if I drag this text into the problematic document on 13.0.4, it remains the same size, and it's still reported 23pt. Let me take it slow here: I end up with two very different size text layers in the same document. But they're still both reported as 23pt. Again: in the same document. Two different size text. Both 23pt. I tried scaling the bigger one up a bit, with scale transform, to around 38pt. It displays as 38pt, but the text settings? They still show it as 23pt! It's as if every text layer has
Photoshop CC - Text Layer font size is not output correctly with javascript after image size has been changed. Reproduce: Create a document, any size (1024 for example.) Create a text layer and insert some text. Change text font size to something, i.e. 30. Change image size to 50% (512), (meta + option + i) Note that text size is cut in half (should be 15 if text was originally 30 for example.) Using javascript, output the size (layer.textItem.size) of the text layer to a txt file. Open the txt file and you will see that the size of the text layer was output as 30 in this example, it should have been 15.
Just a minor bug that's easy to reproduce: 1) Draw any Live Shape, e.g a rectangle. 2) Right-click on any anchor point in the shape and select "Delete Anchor Point". Note that this does not affect the "Delete Anchor Point" tool! 3) Move or transform the shape in any way. Photoshop will restore it to its original form (i.e add back the deleted anchor point(s)) since it still thinks it's a Live Shape.
now I get that message for the purchases of Adobe Photoshop CS 6 Extended. I have already purchased this license since last year. At the previous update is missed. Thought it would be resolved with the update of 13.0.3, apparently not.
In CS6, after painting a brush stroke using a Natural Brush, if I use Fade Brush Tool, all the texture options on the brush stroke are reverted to their defaults. i.e. It will appear as if the Brightness/Contrast on the brush's texture option were set to 0, and inverting the texture is nullified. This only applies to Natural Brushes.
In Photoshop CS6 Layers do not link together when you select the layers, right-click and choose 'Link Layers'. The linking works in the layers panel, but not in the context menu. Info: I'm using the german version of Photoshop CS6(32bit) in Windows 7 x64
I found what I think is a bug in Photoshop CS6. The Pen tool keeps reverting back to the "Exclude" boolean mode every time you select the Pen tool. In previous versions of Photoshop, the boolean mode stayed at whatever mode it was set at when no paths were selected. You can see a video of the Photoshop CS6 behavior at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RTHPz...
I've created an action in Photoshop CS5 which should apply a layer effect (inner shadow) to a textlayer. But every time i run this action it stops at the point the layer effect should be applied and I have to select the shape (I hope, this is the correct description, as I only have the german version of Photoshop. There it's called "Kontur") and click "OK" to let the action finish. Is there a solution to this problem?
You have a high res image, made from a new document preset with dimensions set at a certain ratio of the (known) final web image, say x3. You used to be able to Save For Web and then in the Image Size field perform math: eg. XXXpx/3. Thus giving you the final web image size. Math calculation no longer seems to work in Mac CS5.1
Hi Guys, here's the issue. When editing a text layer with the type tool, without pasting or anything, just entering the editing of the layer, Photoshop somehow pastes some cache'd text. Mind you - this isn't text that would have even been entered during the editing session. Please take a look at the video of this bug in action. http://youtu.be/ureQYxlsp6M So instead of editing, sometimes, the text layer just pastes whatever from the cache. This exact thing also happens, if you convert the group holding the layers to a Smart Object. I can't figure out what happens that makes the layer affected or how to circumvent. The only way I go around this is copying one of the layers that appear unaffected by this cache thing and editing them again, however, it does re-occur at some point after saving. Please help, this is a really obnoxious bug. I'm on Photoshop CS6 13.0.4 x64 on OSX 10.8.4 right now, but this has been happening to me consistently for about a year and I've been updating. In fact
After updating my (non-extended) Photoshop CS6 13.0.2 to 13.0.3, all my actions break. This is because the behavior of Merge Visible appears to have changed. Anyone else seeing this? I'm going to try to revert to 13.0.2 and see if it fixes the problem. My action pack from gettotallyrad.com is definitely affected, as are my own actions. Rebooting didn't help, update was "successful". This is on Mac OS X Lion, macbook pro.
Hello After upgrading to latest version of Mountain Lion i've got a problem with scanning directly into Photoshop CS6. on the previous Lion version when I wanted to scan something, i just opened Photoshop -> File -> Import -> images from device then a new window opened up where I could choose the device I wanted to use, and then I selected the scanner (Canon CanoScan 8400F) and I could scan directly into photoshop. Now with Mountain Lion when I do the exact same thing, it opens a window, but it's impossible to select any device, as the new window is just a plain white window, with 2 buttons on top to rotate something that isn't there. hope someone can help me out, I can scan the normal way and then save that picture and open it in Photoshop, but it has worked before, so am I doing something wrong? or is this just a little bug thnx in advance for the help
Photoshop 13.0.4 x64: How can I get rid of the "Could not complete your request because of a program error" alerts? I am running Photoshop CS6 13.0.4 x64 on Mac OS X 10.8.2, and it presents these "Could not complete your request because of a program error" alert messages that stop my work cold. The message appears once upon launch, but more annoyingly it appears upon trying to open a file and trying to create a new file.
