Photoshop 25.7.0Windows 10 Since some versions of Photoshop there has been a rather annoying problem that costs a lot of storage space and often exceeds the storage size of PSD files. Grouped smart objects become too large without recalculation! The simplest case in which the error occurs for me is as follows: I open from ACR 3* RAW files from a Sony camera as smart objects in Photoshop and arrange them as layers in one image. When I save this image with 3 layers it is 1.47GB in size If I group/create and save these 3 smart object layers as a new smart object, it can only be saved as a psb file and is 2.3GB in size. However, if I now open the smart object grouping once and open a smart object in it again in ACR and have it recalculated without any changes by closing it, I can then also put it back into the grouped smart object with a recalculation without any changes. When I save this image again it is only 1.77 GB in size. So the problem is this: Whe
Having to change the size of your brush to the one you are using EVERY TIME you change brushes is incredibly hectic and time consuming when working. If you switch brushes, the size of the brush will change to the preset of that brush that you selected.A Brush Size Lock to give the user the choice to avoid size switch with every brush preset switch would be an amazing time saver.Alternatively, an option to save the size (or not) of a brush when creating a new preset would be also be a dream.I am confused as to why the "Soft Brush" set of 3 that comes with Photoshop allows you to switch between them without altering the size of a brush, but this is not offered to any other brushes, to my knowledge. If there's a way to do this it would be greatly appreciated, if somebody could shed some light on the topic. Otherwise I haven't found anything online.Thank you! 🙂
Photoshop version: 25.9.1OS Version: Windows 11 Home 10.0.22621 Build 22621 Issue: Open an image, add a curves adjustment layer and open the Curves Properties graph. Select the "Edit points to modify the curve" and "Click and drag in image to modify the curve" tools. Hold down shift and click a point in the image. Notice an unselected point (open square) is placed on the graph. Cycle between RGB, Red, Green, and Blue in the graph and notice the unselected point on each graph. Select the unselected point on any graph to make it active, then cycle through the RGB, Red, Green and Blue curves again and not that none of the other curves show any points (unselected or selected). Previous version would automatically select the point on all curves so the points could be adjusted manually in the graph. I have replicated this problem using both raw (CR2) and jpg files. I have not tried with previous versions of PSD files.
From the past, Adobe apps have been slow to update for Apple Silicon, and there are still unresolved issues that I would like to report.First of all, I received remote control service from Adobe Korea but the issue was not resolved. Following the customer service's guidance, I am reporting the error on this board. 개요 제가 제보하려는 라이브러리 오류는 '한글' 파일명으로 라이브러리에 객체를 등록하고 나면, 이후에 라이브러리 내에서 업데이트가 안되는 오류입니다.The library error I am reporting occurs when objects registered in the library with 'Korean' filenames do not update within the library. 1. 포토샵에서 작업중인 레이어를 드래그 앤 드롭으로 라이브러리에 등록(Register the working layer in Photoshop to the library by drag and drop) 2. 라이브러리에 등록 된 오브젝트가 '빨간색'인데 '초록색'으로 바꾸고 싶어서 더블클릭 후 내용을 수정한 다음 저장 (I wanted to change the registered object in the library from 'red' to 'green', so I double-clicked to en

Photoshop versions past 24.0.1, including the latest 24.3, are breaking my Actions and Scripts that batch save PNGs (Save as a copy) that are supposed to keep the color profiles embedded. Each time I run an action or script, the first PNG keeps the color profile embedded, but all subsequent PNGs save out "untagged". One weird exception: I have one Action which saves out a PSD and PNG from each file with color profiles embedded. The original action saved out the PSDs first and then the PNGs. This was the first time I noticed the bug. I tried switching the order in the action to save out the PNGs first, then the PSDs, and the bug no longer occurred. Not sure why, but I wanted to pass that along. All other scripts which save out (not export) PNGs have this bug. We cannot update until this gets fixed.
I use Photoshop 2024 - 25.9.0 on Mac with macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 The error occurs as follows. I have a project open, for example a 1024x1024; resolution 72 px/inch; colormode RGB Color 32 bit. Then select the Rectangular Marguee Tool (M) and select an area outside(!) of the 1024x1024 canvas. As soon as the area has been selected, the following website opens: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adjusting-pixel-selections.html This website opens in the browser currently being used. Photoshop remains open, but it switches to the current browser. Even if this link has already been called, this website opens every time in an area outside the canvas. Even deactivating the tooltips and rich tooltips under Preferences -> Tools does not help to solve this problem. Please help so that this annoying website does not keep opening.
Since about two weeks my Photoshop CC (CC Abonement Enterprise, Desktop, Win 11 Pro) does not start anymore. The start-up screen freezes at 'Speicher wird bemessen...' which should be 'storage/cache is measured...' (in English).Updated to last update via CC Desktop - still PS does not start anymore... Have to shut it down via Task Manager. What could be done?Thx Juerge from germany
Specifically, When pasting a vector into a spot channel in PS, the anti-alias checkbox is unavailble regardless if Enable Narrow Options Bar is on or off in preferences and will persist through restarts. The check box appears as it should when performing a normal paste as a layer. The only workaround is to paste as a layer, then disable/enable the setting depending on use, this will then be applied to how the vector is rasterized into the spot channel. When working with a multichannel document a new document with layers needs to be made in order to achieve the same workaround. This is using Windows 11 Home: 23H2
Issue: Relinking single linked SmartObject relinks all SmartObjects with same path Photoshop version: noticed on current latest 24.0.1 but also present on other versions OS: macOS 12.6.1 - Monterey Steps to reproduce: Create 2 SmartObject layers with File > Place Linked ... using the same target image (or create one such layer and duplicate it) Select 1 of the linked layers Relink it by using the Layer > Smart Objects > Relink to File ... and chose another image to replace it Expected result: Just the selected layer's link being updated, while the "duplicate" remains linked to old image reference. Actual result: Both layers are linked to same new image reference Since the whole Layer menu location implies that we are operating on a single layer it is weird, that it modifies all layers with same referenced path. This is causing issues when we are creating overviews with linked files and updating them over time. Currently we need to
Issue: When editing an image from LR, the "Cancel" and "Send to Lightroom" buttons on the upper left have the text misaligned. Photoshop version: 4.8 OS: iPadOS 16.6, iPad Air 5 Steps to reproduce: ...Select an image in LR and choose Edit in Photoshop Expected result: The text should be centered in the buttons.Actual result: Text is misaligned
For some reason, when the "Current Tool" display is selected at the bottom of the screen, the current tool does not show correctly. At the moment, I have the Remove Tool selected, but "Brush" is displayed. This seems to be the only tool where this happens.
Suppose I have a Vertically-oriented hexagon such that there are three vertices are beneath the center of the shape, and three above (as opposed to a horizontally-oriented hexagon where two vertices are on the centerline). If I select any individual vertex with the Direct-Select tool, I can move that vertex around without issue. If I select Two adjacent vertices, again: I can move those two vertices around without issue....If I select *three* adjacent vertices, such as the bottom three, if I try to move the vertices around, the entire shape gets stretched, affecting the vertices that weren't selected. I have no idea when this bug became a thing.I am on 24.7.0 on Windows 10 right now.
Red is an example of multiple open-ended subpaths in a single shape layer.Green is an example of a single open-ended subpath in a single shape layer. As you can see: multiple sub-paths completely break dashing. This may be related to another issue:Upper version is a single open-ended sub-path on a single shape layerLower version are two open-ended sub-paths on a single shape layer. The shapes seems to act as though it were closed, however: it's not actually closed. There are no edges linking the end vertices of that path, and likewise, the triangle is constructed of 3 verts and 2 edges - the bottom-right edge shouldn't exist.
Good morning My Photoshop close the photo when I use the sharpness action. How can I correct this?Thank you!
This is a bug. Please don't move it to the Discussions tab. And please don't merge into another unrelated thread. I will report a bug with this thread. ------------------------------------ I made a YouTube video using a keyboard mouse overlay to show what action I'm taking. I hope you can refer to refer to it. https://youtu.be/Cle6dEgP5_Y ------------------------------------ I was disappointed that there were so many bugs that were not fixed in 24.5, but I was still trying to give it a shot. However, this bug is pretty serious. Really... Please see the video I attached. If you watch the video, you will see that I am shaking the screen.I'm not using a hand tool, it should release automatically, but that thing is sticky. To release this sticky, pinned handtool, you'll need to make one more unconditional click. Here's how I've organized them for your reference. < What I can be sure of > Window10 (Tested a total of 14 PCs) Use WacomTablet Not related to pr
In previous versions of Photoshop. The Font and size were remembered between documents. Now the font is remembered, but the size is automatically changing to 38.25 ptI would like it at 10pt, and remember that it needs to stay 10pt. I remember a bug a few Photoshop versions back, resetting the font to Myriad Pro each time. It's acting just like that, only this time, it's the font size, not the font type. The fix for that was to turn on "fill with placeholder text", but that isn't working for this issue.
Currently you have to manually select each layer one by one to lock and unlock, which is a pain. If you want to move a group and have a locked layer buried in the group you have to go down and find it and unlock it you want to move a group. Sucks. There should be a unlock all / lock all for selected layers and groups with an option to include child layers.
Photoshop 23.2.1, Windows 10, german keyboard, german keyboard setting Bug: for the german version of Photoshop, the default shortcut for hiding/showing guides was for a long time and still is Ctrl+, (control and comma). When using this combination on a german Windows, with a german keyboard in german setting, the shortcut hides/shows the currently selected layer instead. This is due to the menu action "Hide layers" has the same shortcut (I didn't change anything here). Unfortunately, the "Hide layers" action has priority. Solution for me: deleting the shortcut for hiding the layer. Solution for Adobe: avoid using the same shortcut twice.

Latest update today (25.7) claims to still be compatible with macOS 11.7.1 but not for me. Tried unistall/reinstall with no luck. Going back to 25.6 works fine. I was also using the beta, but can't remember the last version I opened. Regardles, the beta no longer works either, same error message that is attached. Is this my issue or did 25.7 outgrow macOS Big Sur? Thanks
After upgrading to Mac OS Ventura 13, Adobe Photoshop will NOT allow me to import photos from my cameras, a Canon EOS R5 and a Nikon Z50. When I cable the cameras to my iMac (M1), Photoshop sees and correctly identifies the camera brand, but the photos on the camera do not show up. Thus, no import of them is possible. The native Apple app Photos does recognize and allow for importation. Also, very strangely, Lightroom sees and imports from the camera.
