My partner is getting this modal popup blocking her activity in Photoshop v 25.5—but not in any other CC apps. It feels like a phishing scam, but could just be a bad design. She didn't follow the links (Learn more and Sign out) in the modal. She has deactivated access on other machines, and deleted and reinstalled Photoshop. The message still appears. Has anyone else seen this before?
Have had this problem for a while through not just 25.5 but previous versions as well. There seems to be a good few posts of similar nature although perhaps not with the latest release nor with the exact symptoms. Crash occurs when opening a file pretty much every time - does not appear to be restricted to a particular format. The only solution I have found is to try turning off the GPU which usually solves the issue but obviously makes photoshop so slow as to be useless. I tried turning off the native canvas to see if that made a difference but it just results in photoshop displaying no image at all (blank screen) even though it opens the file and it can be seen in the thumbs for channels/layers pallets.I've submitted crash reports on this several times in the hopes it may be picked up and fixed in an update but with slim hope.Latest crash happened when I tried to open a file whilst working on another file (forgetting for a second it is unstable) and it crashed
With the new update something has happened with the library. Before this update, PS would open the last library used and would do so every time, but now it opens the overview of all libraries and you have to chose the one you want. No big thing, but would love to be able to have one library be the main one (as it has been like since it came).Main issue is this:All graphics added before this update works like they should, but things made after the new update works for about 5-10 minutes before we no longer can Place items from library. If we right click the graphics wanted and "place layers" nothing happens and there is a creative cloud logo instead of graphic "logo" like before. I've attacthed screenshots of how it looks like in both creative cloud desktop app and in photoshop libraries. As you can see Test 2 is the newly added and works like it should, whilst the Test 1 has gone bad and no longer works.Known bug?
Hello everyone, I am facing an issue related to PNG and TIF files. Photoshop cannot open these files when I write "xmp-xmp:Keywords" to the file's metadata. I am not sure if other formats have the same issues or not. I just only tested with PNG, TIF, and JPEG. Issue description: If the PNG or TIF file has no "xmp-xmp:Keywords" and "xmp-dc:Subject". Then Photoshop can open and work with the file normally. If the PNG or TIF file has "xmp-xmp:Keywords" and also has "xmp-dc:Subject". Then Photoshop can open and work with the file normally. If the PNG or TIF file doesn't has "xmp-xmp:Keywords" and has "xmp-dc:Subject". Then Photoshop can open and work with the file normally. If the PNG or TIF file has "xmp-xmp:Keywords", but doesn't has "xmp-dc:Subject". Then Photoshop cannot open the file. Error message: This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored. (screenshot) When I click to "OK" button, Photoshop can load the
Bug: the pointer/cursor jumps all over the place in the Liquify tool, making it unusable.Situation: Photoshop 25.3.1 / Mac 14.2.1 / MBP M3 Max 36gb 1tbAdding this in the hope that Adobe will attend to this bug sometime. It's a real world problem.
sorry in advance for the poor quality image. When I resize an image with the black-colored pixels on the bottom, it creates a half-transparent, gray-colored line. It doesn't matter if I make the image bigger or smaller, it makes that empty gap. It's a glitch that has been there since photoshop CC 2017. People I know have been manually filling the gap or covering it. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
Dear people,Since 10 days my library does not work anymore.I can make a library item and use it in several places.But...when I open the library item, change it and re-save it, it gets lost. Its completely gone. Not visable in the library, not online.I lost several important designs this way.Can yo uplease help me?Thanx in advance.Greetings,Barbara Mulderink
I have been editing some photos recently and a few minutes ago I tried to open some .PSD files that I had saved on my computer. To my surprise, they did not open as expected. Instead, a new window opened with the same size as the photos I was trying to open, and a "new archive" with a white background appeared. I am worried because I rely on these saved files to have specific configurations and effects applied to other photos with the same style.Somebody can help me? Thank you!!!
Hi - just wanted to share a new issue since upgrading OS to Sonoma. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT for the liquify tool, which intermittently suffers from severe lag. The lag generally only occurs when background layer(s) are set to visible, and doesn't always happen, even when working the same filem and without restarting Photoshop. So far as I can tell, this lag isn't occuring with any other tools (large brushes, transform tools, adjustments etc). Using 16gb M1 imac (latest generation), and have necer experienced any lags prior to OS upgrade.Problem also does NOT seem to be dependent on canvas or file size.I know Photoshop hasn't yet been fully tested for Sonoma, so wanted to flag this issue for the devs.
When I select "open as layers in PS" from LR this used to work until recently. Now all that happens is the PS app opens to the home page but no images are ever uploaded at all. I have restarted my computer, shut down LR and PS, and tried again, and still nothing. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? {Moderator note: Edited the thread title}
usually when i open a brush group in photoshop and close the app and restart it, everything stays open, now in the newest update i have to go back and open all of my brush groups to start working, is there a option to keep the brush groups open everytime i close photoshop?
I am using PS 24 on a MacBook Pro, Sonoma 14.3 machine. It is impossible to automatically export JPGs in a certain quality setting. No matter what I set the quality value to upon automatic export - the resulting files always have exactly the same file weight (6MB for a 1920x1080px JPG!).Any ideas?
Hi,I've found annoying bug:1. Use Wacom tablet with pen2. Open any photo3. Zoom in a bit4. Press SPACE and start moving photo using Wacom Pen5. Move fast left and right, move left fast and release pen. While photo is still moving, grab it again and move right. Next grab must be within 0,5 sec of the previous one. Repeat few times. 6. Photo freezes. After that, picture is frozen, no updates happening. Yet, the rest of photoshop works fine (controls, checkboxes, menu). Doesn't happen when using just mouse. The only solution to fix is to close the photo and open it again.Video attached. It's annoying because I move fast while editing and I'm getting stuck often.
I was really hoping this problem would never arise fro me again, because there was never any fix in the older versions of PS I was using when I first encountered it. When I'm loading RAW files into photoshop layers via Bridge, something that is heavily intrinsic in all my workflows, for some reason the RAW settings are now being completely disregarded. I haven't changed any settings, I haven't moved the cache. It's infuriating, if anyone has a fix for this, it would be incredible!! Br ver: 12.0.4.286Ps ver: 23.5.5 I'm not updating to the new Bridge version until they address the multiple windows ope scenario. Basic fact is this function just stopped working for no apparent reason, I know there will be a reason, but it must be something that has changed in the background I'm not aware of.
Has anyone been able to finish the Discover tutorial: Make a surreal glass sphere effect? https://creativecloud.adobe.com/cc/learn/photoshop/in-app/make-a-surreal-glass-sphere-with-any-photo?x-product=CCHome%2F1.0&x-product-location=Search%3ATutorials%3Alink%2F3.1.1&mv2=cch&locale=en Everytime I try to complete the tuturial I get error messages. I cannot move past the step after it states to Choose > Edit > Transform > Scale. After I press next I get the following error message and cannot progress: Finish current task to continue If the steps are available elsewhere, where it is not a guided tutorial, I'd appreciate a link to it. I would love to finish this tuturial and learn a new technique. Thanks
Windows 10 issue. I'm using a Wacom Intuos Lg tablet with the latest drivers and the newest version of Photoshop CC 2015. After installing Windows 10, when I am using my Wacom tablet, whenever I push Ctrl, Alt or Shift on the keyboard, a tiny distracting popup box shows on the screen “Alt” “Alt+Shift” etc. In Wacom Tablet Properties>Mapping, when I disable “Use Windows Ink”, the popups disappear but the pen sensitivity in Photoshop CC 2015 also stops functioning. The sensitivity still works in other programs like Toon Boom Harmony though. Note: when ’ Use Windows Ink’ is enabled and I am using my USB mouse instead of my Intuos pen, pressing Ctrl, Alt or Shift does not bring up the little popups. Check out the thread of other people having this same problem on the Microsoft site.
I'm having an issue with working on an image in Photoshop, at the very end of the workflow I apply the Oil Paint filter on the image and it will tell me "Could Not Complete Request." The only way it would work is to close out of Photoshop completely and then open the file again from Lightroom. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance. Hey there, I've recently started getting unusual artifacts whilst using Select Subject. By default I have it set to 'Cloud Processing' & when using this it creates a white border at the bottom of my image (on the mask). This is definitely a new scenario that I've not had before so I wonder if any recent changes might have caused this. I changed my default processing to 'Device' & re-did my steps, this time I did not see the mask issue. So I believe this suggests its local to Select Subject's Cloud processing option. I use this tool everyday on multiple images as I'm a e-commerce retoucher, it happens every single time without fail. 1. Adobe Photoshop 24.3.0 2. Ventura 13.2.1 3. Run select subject (cloud option), make mask. That simple. 4. Issue presented below. If the cutout meets the end of the bottom canvas (haven't tested left, right & top) it will leave a line of black.
ADB-28196624-T1B3 is the tech support ID. Tech support tried to test a problem and was able to recreate the particular problem on my 2019 iMac 5K running Ventura 13.1. After removing every single Adobe file from the computer and reinstalling CC app and Photoshop CC 24.1.1, after installing a plugin via the Marketplace using the Plugin menu, restarting Photoshop renders the Plugin menu gray and plugins previously installed are missing or not accessible. Reverting in Creative Cloud to 24.0.1 and the plugin menu is visible again and so are the plugins, if any were previously installed. This problem exists in a particular configuration where the user account folder with ~/Library and contents are housed on a different hard drive than the /Library is stored along with /System, /Applications, /Users.Creative Cloud can install its applications on different drives, and Mac OS can also be configured to use different volumes for particular user accounts, and until 24.1, this has never been a prob
After updating yesterday to the latest version of Photoshop (23.3.0), the Fit on Screen menu item and associated Command-0 shortcut no longer enlarge an image, If the Zoom tool is active, pressing the Fit Screen button still works. I am on an M1 Mac, OS 12.3.1.
Hello I am having massive problems editing pictures I have taken with my new Canon EOS R DSLR camera. I have tried turning off my GPU in PS and Camera Raw but to no avail. I have made sure to update my GPU (RTX 3070) driver and update PS but neither have helped. I'm out of options here, and am hoping anyone can help. On the latest version of Photoshop 25.4.0 on MacOS Sonoma 14.3, when you have an edited document, the red stoplight in the menubar does NOT indicate an unsaved change with a dot in it. This is what it looks like with an open document that has an unsaved change in 25.4.0: This is what it is supposed to look like with unsaved changes, and how it does look on PS 25.3.1:
I am high school graphic design teacher, currently working in Photoshop 2024, Windows 10. (We finally got the upgrade to CC from CS6 this year) We're working on a project that I have taught many times before without issue, in which students practice with selection tools by creating a "Frankenstein" creature made up of 10 different image sources with layer masks. They then put all the body parts in a group and create a drop shadow for their creature, separate the drop shadow as its own layer and distort it to look like a realistic shadow in space. This year every time anyone selects "create layer" to separate the drop shadow from the group the shadow becomes a weird double of itself. It behaves normally before that, and I also tested the process on a single layer instead of a group and it behaved normally with one layer, but always doubles when produced from a group.
Hey some of us had sound out this issue almost 2 years ago with the "feature" on the original feedback forum that had now been closed. Almost a year had past since one of your colleague claimed to have put in a "feature request ticket", and there are still no fix nor update on the progress. Again I want to emphasis that this is no longer a feature request (that your colleague had suggested) but a bug as it's not performing in the way it's supposed be. For a quick reminder to the problem. It's way too sensitive, I estimate a rough 20-30% of the time I switch to another a tool, the feature will activate, and without me hitting the shortcut key, the tool will switch back to the previously used tool. In the time since I noticed this issue, I had change and tested with 3 different keyboards, changed my PC, upgraded the hardwares, and move from Windows 7 to 10. Gone through all the photoshop updates, and yet nothing had change, the issue stayed.
