Lag when dragging with Wacom pen in Vanishing Point on macOS

After i switch from m1 to m4 max studio
When using the
Vanishing Point filter in Adobe Photoshop on macOS (latest version Tahoe) with a Wacom tablet (Intuos Pro M, USB connection), there is an intermittent delay when dragging with the pen.

Specifically, the pen click is registered immediately, but the click + drag action is delayed by approximately 0.3–0.5 seconds before movement starts. The issue occurs randomly – sometimes dragging is smooth, other times it is noticeably delayed.

Additional observations:

  • The issue occurs only inside Vanishing Point

  • Outside Vanishing Point (normal Brush / retouching), pen input is perfectly smooth

  • The issue occurs only with pen input, mouse input works correctly

  • The behavior is identical in 8-bit and 16-bit documents

  • The issue is not performance-related and not GPU-load dependent

  • Disabling GPU acceleration removes the lag, but makes Photoshop unusable overall

  • Disabling OpenCL, guides, or other Vanishing Point options has no effect

  • No third-party plugins are installed

  • The behavior matches a click vs drag threshold delay, where slight pen movement at touch-down is interpreted as drag, causing a delayed drag start
