P: Entering Gen fill room & tapping the prompt fields causes Photoshop on iOS to freeze & crash

Anyone else having this issue? Photoshop for iPhone freezing when generative AI is used.

Hi Everyone,

Quick update here. I personally tested this on Photoshop for iPhone v7.3 (released recently), and I’m no longer able to reproduce the freeze/crash when tapping the Generative Fill prompt field.

Tested devices on my side:

• iPhone 15 Pro Max

• iPhone 16 Pro Max

• Both on the latest iOS (26.2)

The Generative Fill prompt entry is working normally now on both blank canvases and existing images.

If you’re still seeing the issue, could you please reply with:

• Your iPhone model

• Your iOS version

• Confirm the Photoshop app version (should be v7.3)

I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max with OS 26.1 and the latest version of the Adobe Photoshop app. No error message, it just freezes up

Hi @StrangeTripStudios, thanks for the context! Let's try a few things to see if it resolves the issue.

1. Double check and make sure your iPhone to the latest iOS version and ensure Photoshop is fully updated.

2. Restart the device and confirm at least 5–10 GB of free storage.

3. Test Generative Fill on a small new canvas with a short prompt to rule out image size or complexity.

4. Switch to a strong Wi‑Fi connection and temporarily disable VPN or iCloud Private Relay if active.

5. Sign out and back into your Adobe account in the app.

If the issue persists, delete Photoshop, restart the phone, and reinstall the app. If it still freezes, share your exact steps, the prompt used, image dimensions, and a short screen recording so we can escalate. I hope this helps! ^CH
