When I paste attributes on a clip that already has an effect (e.g. Lumetri) applied, the paste adds a 2nd instsance of the effect. Then things start to look odd. Sometimes you can't tell in the Effects Properties that there's a 2nd (or 3rd) instance of the effect if I'm trying to nail down a look between clips. The Paste Attribute needs to have an "Overwrite Existing" option where it will replace an effect if it exists on the clip. That should be the default option.
If I zoom into the timeline, with the current time indicator still visible, but near the edge of my timeline, when I hit spacebar to start playback, the area of the timeline displayed jumps so the CTI is centred. I don't want this to happen. I can understand the logic behind centring the CTI when playback starts if the CTI is currently off screen, but changing the view when the CTI is on screen makes no sense.
Hello everyone, Hopefully someone can help me out, because I'm losing a lot of time (and money) and I'm starting to get pretty frustrated. Pc specs are listed at the bottom of my post. The problem:I was running Premiere 22.6 and kept losing edits because of crashes during (auto)save. Supposedly this is (FINALLY) fixed in the upcoming release. Because losing edits multiple times a day is totally unworkable, I decided to install Beta version 23.1. I'm hesitant to upgrade full versions because I have some ongoing projects in CC22 I need to revisit often. I ALWAYS keep the previous version in case something goes wrong. It seemed to be working fine for a couple days. No more save crashes, some new additions to gpu-acceleration, etc. The only annoying this was the preview going black (permanently, audio still playing) whenever I opened any footage/music in the source window. Not that big of a deal, I could just select footage, drop it into the timeline, restart the program and then
"File; New; Color matte" opens the set color dialogue and also the save window, but doesn´t save the "color matte" file.Doing the same thing starting from "New item" icon, e.g. "New item", "Color matte", works perfect as expected.
This is a repost of another I put in the wrong forum. I don't know how to remove the original. Hey there, Since the latest Premiere Beta update (v 23.2.0 BETA (Build 8)), the projects I have seem to load fine until I click on anything with Lumetri Color applied (clip, adjustment layer, etc), or if I click on the Lumetri tab to view an active effect's setting. The app just quits, no error or dialog. Can't even find anything in the logs. Possibly related to the Vignette bug from a few versions ago? Any advice?
First things first: - 2021 14" MacBook Pro (18,3) - M1 Pro 10cpu/ 16gpu & 32gb ram- macOS Monterey 12.6.1 (had the same issue on 12.6.0 as well)- Beta version 23.2.0.8 The bug is that if I open a project and click on a click with Lumetri on it, or if I select a fresh clip and click on any setting in the Lumetri window, then Premiere hard crashes. The media in my timeline is Sony FS7 XAVC-S UHD 29.976fps, Shogun DNx 36 1080p 59.94fps, and a .jpg, but Premiere crashes the same way regardless of which file I try to add a Lumetri effect to. Footage is stored on a SanDisk Extreme portable SSD, but crashes the same way with footage stored on the internal ssd. I tried opening Premiere with Rosetta, making new projects, clearing my cache, deleting and reinstalling, and none of those fixed the issue. Luckily, I eventually figured out that Beta 23.1 doesn't have the issue so I rolled back to that for now. Also having issues with the full 23.0 release where it hard crashes
In recent full version and beta the transcript merge and split buttons don't work consistently. I have to change workspace to get them to work, and sometimes that doesn't help either.
When exporting a DNxHD MXF file (1080i DNxHD SQ 8-bit) from a 29.97 timeline, the file is encoded at 25fps on the first attempt, but not every time. The second attempt, changing nothing, just exporting again, exports correctly at 29.97. I've attached XMP files for reference.
When I open a project started in v23.0 (non-beta) in the Beta 23.2.0, I get the missing audio plugins dialog, even though they are there and enabled in the Audio Prefs. Closing and re-opeing Pr fixes it - they show up the second time (closing and re-opening the project doesn't).

Build 8 unusable. Crashes on opening and just pressing the play button. Or adding an effect. Tried many times: reset preferences. old project, new project, re-installed Stuck for now. Error: closed unexpectably > recover project > crash. Does not remember thumbnails in list view.

Altering any colour wheel in Lumitry colour either on the screen or via my Tangent Wave causes Premiere to instantly close. All seem fine in the non beta version. Windows 11 RTX 2070 Braw footage.
Steps to reproduce:I have a sequence set up with intro graphics, an interview section (subtitled) and outro graphics. I want to duplicate this sequence (so I keep all the intro/outro graphics etc), then delete and replace the middle interview section, and create new subtitles for that section - whic is impossible.1. Duplicate "Sequence 1". Let's call the duplicate "Sequence 2". Close Sequence 1 so we're sure that we're not working on that one.2. Open Sequence 2, and delete all the subtitles from the Subtitle track. Delete the Subtitle track completely.3. In the Text > Captions panel, do "Create Captions from Transcription"Result: Subtitles are created in Sequence 2, but they are the subtitles from Sequence 1!Expected:Subtitles, in Sequence 2, are actually a reflection what's being said in Sequence 2. If I drag a guide onto the Program panel, then right-click it do do "Edit Guide...", nothing happens. Also, right-clicking the ruler bar and choosing "Add Guide..." does nothing. Windows 10, PPro 23.1.0x70
Steps to reproduce: 1.Close the only open project in PPro Result:PPro sometimes quits. Sometimes it closes the project and show the recent projects screen.Expected:I should see the recent projects screen every time, like in ye olden dayes before today's update to Beta Build 73.
