when I click on open file none of the options show for selecting my files.

Hi. I have NEF files and their .XMP files saved on both my laptop and an external hard drive. When the NEF files are opened from the laptop they keep their IPTC data. When the very same NEF files are opened from the external drive, the IPTC is gone. Also, Photoshop routinely goes into the spinning beach ball of death if I’ve been saving files through the Export>Save for Web command.The laptop is an Apple M3 Max.The hard drive is a 12TB Novus connecticut via USB-c.The camera is a Nikon Z9.Photoshop is version 27.11.0.  

Edit: This was meant for the Lightroom cloud community but somehow while browsing, I ended up in photoshop. Since for some unknown reason, you don't let us delete anything ourselves, please move to the appropriate place.Try to move the crop a little bit? SNAPTry to drag one edge a little bit? SNAPSnaps to edges, snaps to aspect ratios, snaps to center. How the hell can I make fine adjustments to the crop without this? Who thought this was a good idea. Who UX tested this???

Hello Adobe Team, I am experiencing a critical crash issue in the recent Photoshop update. Photoshop shuts down immediately without any error message when I try to group layers. [Steps to Reproduce]1. Select any layer (especially ones with default or localized names).2. Duplicate the layer using 'Ctrl + J' (which automatically adds a suffix like 'copy' or localized text like '의 복사' in Korean).3. Select both the original and duplicated layers.4. Press 'Ctrl + G' to group them.5. Photoshop crashes and closes instantly. [Expected Result] The layers should be grouped into 'Group 1' normally without any performance drops. [Actual Result] Immediate application crash/shutdown. [Temporary Workaround Found] If I go to Layer Panel Options and uncheck "Add 'copy' to Copied Layers and Groups", the crash no longer occurs. Hello everyone.I'm having a problem with Photoshop version 27.10 where RAW files won't open and most image files won't load their previews on Bridge with this version of Photoshop installed. Also, I can't open any file from Bridge into Camera RAW, seems the link between both apps and Camera RAW is broken. Reverting to an older version of Photoshop, like 27.8, makes both Bridge and Photoshop functional again. So it's 100% a Photoshop problem. I've done a lot of testing installing different versions.Does anyone know if this is fixed in latest 27.11 update or can test this on that newer version, please? I'm not risking installing it without knowing if it's fixed, after all the cleaning I had to do to my PC before reverting back.Thank you in advance.

After the latest update a few days ago I’ve started getting weird issues with my tiff-files. First of all, I save my projects as tiff-files to keep the layers and have better compatibility with all the other photo applications (such as the classic Windows Photo Viewer which I still prefer over other MS viewers).For some reason most of the tiffs now show me this error message instead of the actual photo: That had never happened before. Now out of 8 of my latest photos, I get this for 6 of them. All photos have layers and the sizes are similar (100-200MB). I noticed that if I tick the “Save Image Pyramid” checkbox in the “TIFF Options” menu when saving, the viewer can show the image again. I’ve never had to use that option before and it also increases the file size and makes the saving process take longer.Then issue #2: Saving gets stuck. I click save and see the percentage going up until it freezes at random point. Nothing happens. I tried waiting for 15 minutes but it did not finish. I

Hi everyone, I would like to report this explicitly as a bug report, and I kindly ask that it not be converted into a question. The behavior is reproducible in my setup and, from my point of view, affects WinTab support in Photoshop 27.6. After updating to Photoshop 27.6, WinTab still no longer works reliably. I’m running Mac OS Golden Gate and Photoshop 27.11.0 (though the same issue occurs when using the latest Photoshop beta).The Filter menu will become inactive at random times. The menu item appears slightly darker than the rest of the menus (which work fine), but clicking on the Filter menu does not result in getting a drop-down. The options aren’t greyed out. They simply don’t appear at all. This may be an Mac OS issue, since the problem began when I installed Golden Gate.The problem doesn’t result in losing work. All other menus drop down properly, I can save what I’m working on, quit Photoshop, restart it, and the Filter menu works fine again. I can’t determine if a specific action causes the problem, but I do access the Camera Raw filter regularly, so that’s when I discover the menu stopped working.

Since today’s Photoshop 27.10 update, the “Edit in Photoshop” command in Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 is not working anymore for me. Photoshop opens automatically as before (if it’s not open yet) but no image is being loaded. Downgrading Photoshop to 27.9.1 resolves the issue and the “Edit in Photoshop” functionality is back to normal. I also tried to change the external editing file format from TIFF to PSD or PSB but this didn’t make any difference. Anyone else facing the same issue? I’m running macOS Tahoe 26.6.2. Closing and re-opening LRC and PS didn’t solve the problem, rebooting the machine also didn’t show any effect. P.S.: I posted this in the Photoshop forum as well

GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Sunburst models are not working inside AI Assisted Editor (Something went wrong. Bom dia, a versao 27.11 do photoshop quando aberto pelo lightroom clasic ate funciona, mas assim que abrir o photoshop sem ser pelo lightroom ele quebrao vinculo ( acredito que pode ser isso) depois disso toda vez que tento ir do lightroom ao photoshop aparece ERRO DE INOPERABILIDADE. e se abrir o photoshop direto ele fica travando e toda vez ao fechar pede pra enviar relatorio de erros, fiz reset de preferencias e desabilitei a gpu e nao resolve, voltei a vesrao 27.10 e o erro desaparece. Os driver estao todos atualisados.

Hi,Expanding the image while using the Crop Tool (the color in this case, about a solid gray) using Content Aware Fill - makes wrong color, in my case after expanding a lighter frame at the previous image edge borders and a lighter gray color is used for the expanded areas. Is this a known bug? I’ve downgraded to 27.8, no issues there.Thank you,Patrik

When I try to use the function “ Select > Subject” on v26, the software will select the object from the background on the image with out any issues.however the exact same function does not work on v27 and pop up a warning saying on subject can be found no matter using the AI function or the basic one to achieve the same goal.

I used to be able to toggle the auto-select options between layer and group by pressing “.” but this function no longer works after updating to 27.11.0. I can’t find anything online about this key command and why it’s suddenly not working but I’m certain it worked this way before as I’ve checked a different a different computer running 27.6.0 and it works there. Can I turn this key command back on again? I used it a lot and would appreciate not having to manually use the dropdown to switch between selecting layers/groups. I did look in my key commands list and didn’t see anything that matches the function I’m looking for. Also mannually creating key commands requires cmd or an f-key so I’m not sure I could just add it the same way it was before via the key command editor anyway.
