Hello, I am creating some black and white profiles in ACR and I have this issue. This is my workflow:- I choose "Adobe Monochrome"- I do some edits in Basic and in HSL- then I save these edits into a new profile Then, when I use such profile, HSL panel is inactive (greyd out), it can not be used. So then I can not tweak HSL more. I tried to bypass this issue by this workflow:- creating LUT table in PS (B&W layer where I can edit HSL)- and then loading such LUT table to the new profile in ACR.But the LUT settings does have zero effect to the new profile. It seems that "Adobe Monochrome" profile does not let the LUT table to work. The conversion is simply the same as if I did not load LUT table when creating new profile. I thought this might be a feature, not a bug. But then I noticed Adobe profiles numbered 1 - 12 which (seems to me) incorporate HSL settings and still HSL panel is active and usable. I know this is not a standard question but I hope that someone m
I'm using Mac OS. Is anyone else having this issue?
Experimenting with creating DNG Profiles with DNG Profile Editor on Windows 10.Would anyone know why the Profile Editor complains about "neutrality" below?I loaded an exported DNG image from CameraRAW 13.0.2.In the Color Tables tab, I selected 6500K only and hit the Create Tables button. As you can see in the error message, seems Row 4 Column 3 (Munsell N8 patch) "has significant color cast"?The only "significance" I see is that the Blue channel is lower than the Red and Green channel by a mere 27 code values, suggesting that the white balance was on the "warm" side. Is there any way to work around this error to your knowledge? Also, notice how only the chromatic patches of the Color Checker are picked up in the List of colors on the right?Does not seem like Profile Editor wants to allow the user to edit gray scale mapping...

I tried correcting the Adobe Standard camera profile for the Canon G9 X Mark II camera. When the Saturation slider in the Color Matrices panel is set to anything other than 0 the image becomes overly saturated. Even setting the Saturation slider to -1 becomes overly saturated, which is of course opposite of what is expected. The Canon G9 X Mark II DNG file was created using Lightroom CC 2015.12, which supports this camera model. I'm using the latest DNG Profile Editor v1.0.0.46 available here:Digital Negative (DNG), Adobe DNG Converter | Adobe Photoshop CC A Canon G9 X Mark II CR2 raw test image file can be downloaded here: Digital Cameras, Canon G9X II Digital Camera Test Image Any and all assistance is appreciated! All Saturation Sliders at 0Red Saturation Set to -1
Yesterday I updated Camera Raw. After updating I cannot open any previously edited photo. when I try to open up a photo I get a message "Cannot complete your request because of a program error."Also in Creative Cloud Desktop Camera Raw App has no option to open.. One other item I noticed is the .Xmp file extension that was assigned to photos after editing has now changed to .PsCan this be repaired or would this require re-downloading of the software?Thank you.
I have searched the internet to download camera raw plug in for Elements 11, the oldest version I could find is 10.5, which I downloaded to my Windows laptop. I can see it in the downloads folder but when I go into Elements 11, I can't see it there or anyway to open this downloaded file to it? Is this because this version is not compatable with Elements 11 (as I saw on-line that the last compatable version for Elements 11 is 7.4, but I couldn't find this version to download anywhere). I have just started taking raw photos on my Canon 600D, and would like to be able to edit them in Elements. I have never used Camera raw before (all photos taken previously have been jpeg). I am also just learning to use lightroom 3.6 and can edit raw photos in this but if I wanted to do further edits in Elements then I think the only way I could do this is with the camera raw plug in. Is there a particular camera raw plug in compatable with this Lightroom 3.6 (as again it
Hello,I have been using using camera raw v11.4 since now and there was a way to see before/after specifically (only) for adjustment brush/ radial/graduated filters changes. When you hit ctrl + alt + p it will show you before/after exactly for the applied local adjustments. Not for all edits (from all panels, effects, etc). After the update to v13 this feature is not there (removed?). Desired behavior (v11.4 behavior) (demo video for v11 and desired behavior is available here https://shared-assets.adobe.com/link/e1836012-1647-4aef-6a12-06c8302bfc56 😞 Open RAW in Camera rawApply exposure to -3 (or whatever you want)Apply some radial/graduated filters (and stay in radial/graduated filters panel)Hit ctrl + alt + P and it has to show you before/after the applied radial/graduated filter (like it was in camera raw v11.4) not before/after for all edits in all panels.v 13 behavior (demo video for v13 is available here: https://sha
Hi, I literally can't open any photo/file in Adobe Camera Raw from Bridge. I tried everything, disinstalled, reinstalled, etc... I am on Win 10, all latest versions installed, all up to date but ACR doesn't work anymore and crahses all the times no matter what I do. {Thread title edited by moderator}
I am having trouble with the latest camera raw update, all the tools are unresponsive. i have taken ACR and photoshop off and reloaded the back on my PC a few times, it has made no difference. Has anyone else had the same issue feeling rather frustrated.Carol
Struggling with landing a ColorChecker capture from my Nikon D810 in CameraRAW 13.0.2.Here is download link to a Photoshop document documenting my results :https://1drv.ms/u/s!AkD78CVR1NBqlqoeH1Ezx5IkVozN6w?e=59RvCV And here's my humble workflow... I start with the NEF document. It opens up in CameraRAW 13.0.2 with the ColorChecker Mini image in it.I select the Adobe Standard profile (seems to be the "best").The results of which is shown in the “No adjustments of any kind” Group in the linked Photoshop document.I carefully noted the resulting RGB values for each gray patches, shown in red in the linked Photoshop document.Compared to the “ideal” – see Ideal group in the linked Photoshop document – it’s a far cry?So, on with some needed Curves adjustment.Best I could do is shown in the green numbers, in the linked Photoshop document. Close enough but I wonder if I can do better? FWIW, I also experimented with creating a DNG profile using the DNG Profile Editor. But the
I installed the current available version of the Adope DNG Converter today an two Windows 19 Labtops. On none of the two the Converter opens when klicking on the Adobe DNG Converter.exe file. The programm ist in Programme/Adobe/Adobe DBG Converter with 3 .ddl files.Any idea?
Hi, I have a newer Canon camera that uses the .CR3 RAW file format. You can take your RAW pictures in 2 modes: full uncompressed CR3, and compressed CR3 (aka, C-raw). Adobe's official support for CR3 is documented here. They also support my specific camera, the EOS M6 Mk ii. Problem: When I run the Adobe DNG Converter 12.1 (current version) on a compressed CR3 C-raw file, the output DNG file is about 35% larger than the input file. In contrast, when I use DNG Converter with a full uncompressed CR3, the output DNG file is about 10% smaller than the input file. Why is the DNG Converter producing output files that are larger than compressed CR3 input files?
Bonjour, Quand je suis sur photoshop, et que j'essaye de lancer Camera Raw, il ne se lance pas. il y a juste une fenêtre de présentation et c'est tout. Comment faire? Pouvez-vous m'aider? Merci
Ignore msg - it's working. Cant delete msg ?I updated to ACR 13.02.644 / Photoshop 2022 and cant get the 'Box Zoom' to work. From my search it should just be a matter of hold the CMD key and drag over a small area to magnify it and for that 'boxed' segment to enlarge.
Hello, I thought this might be the place to put my problem. I have a DJI Inspire 1 with the Zenmuse X5r camera. Recently I acquired a lens that isn't officially supported by DJI but operates like normal, it focuses, changes aperture shoots video, and takes photos. The issue that I am running into is that when the new lens (Lumix 25mm F/1.7) is used to take a RAW DNG photo, it won't allow the file to be read properly in lightroom or Photoshop. The message I am getting when I import it into Lightroom is "It depends on an unsupported case" but all the metadata is there, the file size is accurate (roughly 30mb,) correct dimensions, etc. What I am saying is that the wrong lens is corrupting the files so I can't edit them, is there anything I can do to fix this so I can use the photos?
Microsoft Surface Book II,16GB of RAM, Core i7 8650U processor, NVidia GTX 1060 w/ 6GB of RAM, Windows 10 Pro. Graphics acceleration is turned on. The Camera Raw cache is set to 5GB. GPU driver updates are applied as released. Whenever I try to open RAW file in ACR, it is unbearably, unusably slow. I can work on the same file in Lr and it's fine. Working on multi-gigabyte PSD/PSB files in Ps is fine, too. The ACR filter in Ps is fine, as would be expected. in ACR, moving any of the sliders is halting and completely unsmooth. Making a fine adjustment with the sliders is impossible. When I try to move a slider, there's a delay of 5-10 seconds before the slider actually moves and I can see the extent of the adjustment. I have to wait 30-40 seconds, sometimes longer for the adjustment to be reflected in the image. The laptop isn't a speed demon, it's no antique either. It's a decently spec'd machine. What could be causing this extreme slowness in ACR?&
How dare you, Adobe. In the last update you have not included the much requested Canon CR3 profiles for the lenses RF 15-35mm L IS USM, RF 24-70mm L IS USM and the few days appearing RF 70-200mm L IS USM.The publication of these lenses in this forum has already been reminded several times. How dare you to ignore this demand.

The histogram shown in ACR v 13 has the usual clipping warning indicators in the upper corners...but they don't work. Is there some setting somewhere to turn them on?
Is there any way to remove an embedded camera profile from within a DNG file? Please see below (sorry if it's a bit 'image heavy')Below is image is taken direct from the SD card of my DJI Phantom 4 Pro and loaded into Camera Raw, it's their supposed 'raw' file from a 20mp Sony sensor (fit to screen) and is written by the camera as a DNG fileThe second image shows exactly the same raw file opened in UFRaw (RawTherapee gives the same result)What is immediiately apparent is that the UFRaw view had roughly a 20% wider viewpoint, shows vignetting at the corners and there is evidence of barrel distortion - these examples are 16:9 and it's even more evident on the supposedly 'native' 3:2The DNG image opened by Adobe Camera Raw has already been 'warped' and cropped before opening - rough example hereThe 'full image' is the correct pixel count/proportions but the DNG file as read by Adobe Camera Raw is also the same dimensions but, it is a significantly lower quality as it has been warped, cropp
Hello Everyone. I am running Camera Raw 13, and Bridge Version: 10.1.1.166I can do all my editing inside the Camera Raw, but when i clik Open with Phososhop, Photoshop Opens with no images. Also, Inside Bridge, If I want to open a Image inside Photoshop, Photoshop Opens with no ImagesThanks.
Camera Raw 13's new crop functionality is slow and ugly. I'm running Windows 10 1909 with an i7-7700K with 32 GB RAM and a Geforce GTX 970. I prefer the better method of cropping where the image isn't moved around and a black or gray (configurable) mask covers the cropped areas. With the grid lines and the screen jumping around it's completely unusable. Whoever developed this feature made a problem instead of solving other issues in usability. Camera Raw was best in 2011 before all these flashy features started showing up. Adobe must understand that people who actually use Bridge are looking for something that's not flashy since our workflow is in a professional space. We're not griping here because we're hobbyists, it's because we're professionals looking for a professional interface that we can depend on to be consistent. And I'm editing on a WUXGA resolution screen. If I did this on my 4K monitors, it'd grind to a halt. This i
My PC has just installed the latest CC updates and the new ACR has several issues. The presets I used to have under the curves section have completely disappeared, in fact, I no longer have any curve options such as linear, light etc.The major problem though, is that the application is now so slow that it's unusable. If click on any of the category options such as curves, optics or so on, there is a time lag of several seconds before anything happens. If anyone has encountered similar problems and been able to sort them out, I would be immensely grateful if you would share your know how, because at this rate, I shall have to give up using it! Thanks for any help.
