Camera Raw

Latest Camera Raw 12.4 proved itself to be sluggish. Be cursed the day that I updated it! )) But most amazing is that it is freezing not on some action, but on simple mouse movement passing over the image that is being cropped. Looks they have some 'forced redraw' issues with that. My i5@3.4Gz with 32Gb RAM can handle very complex tasks quite fast -- proved by previous versions of Photoshop (2015.5.3)  or 3DStudio or Adobe Premiere... but passing a mouse over image seems to be a very, very hard and resource consuming task. Also to blame - because of this lags and delays I accidently pressed 'Open as copy' instead of  'Open'. And -- ooops! all my work for several hours had gone with the wind. No adjustments or brush work was saved to XMP files. Great work, Adobe! 

I have this 1000+ images timelapse in raw format. I would like to change the white balance of this photos related to a curve or invidual values. Simplified example: First image would get a value of 1, image in middle would get value of 50 and the last image value of 100. All the images between those would be automatically filled with the changing values.Any change I can do this in Camera Raw or in Photoshop?

This is happening in both Camera Raw and Lightroom. I upgraded both programs but it didn't help. The photos are fine and will open, but I can't see to edit. This happens with both .pef and .dng files. Also, I went back to some older photos I know I was able to edit, and I can't see those now either. Any idea??Much appreciated!

I've edited all my photos in the new version of Camera Raw ( with no option to save them like before ) and when i go to finder they have not been saved, am i missing something?Eugene

Given that camera RAW has been a big pile of pooh for a good while now do we have any indication when it will work properly (i.e. i dont have to go make a brew every time I open a new image)?

when I try to open a Photoshop edited pic into Camera raw, appears a banner saying mi vistual memory disks are full. how do I fix it please?

Photoshop Camera Raw again has problem with SLI / NvLink enabled. Moving sliders cause display glitches. Some months ago it was repaired, now the problem has returned.

There has been much discussion about the user interface update. I don’t want to get into that too much here. I am extremely disappointed by the priorities set by Adobe and I don’t like not having an alternative to the Lightroom interface anymore - at least not in the Adobe world. One last request to Adobe - please consider the inconsistencies you have created within Photoshop. An example: Normally “Alt + Mouse Wheel” controls the zoom level. This is extremely useful and much beloved. However once opening Camera Raw this command suddenly controls brush sizes (which in Photoshop again is done with “Right Mouse Button” or “Alt +  Right Mouse Button”). What’s more, there does not even seem to be any useful and easy way to control zoom in Camera Raw.Please consider you base users. There are alternatives your know – Affinity is a lot cheaper and their users love it.  

Hey guys, I've always used Lightroom camera raw directly on the Photoshop application. However, since 1 or 2 days ago, it seems to have started to create xmp files again on my RW2 files. It normally embeds the raw data information on the files themselves since I have the File Handling on Embed XMP on DNG. So am I missing a step or something? Please help me out with any solution! Thanks,Jeric

Is it possible for the images to return to the full preview screen after cropping. Once I crop my image its stays the same preview size as before the crop with lots of grey empty space in the preview window.

Trovo i file xmp fastidiosi salvati nella stessa cartella dei Nef. Ho un mac e non saprei come settare per far si che le modifiche rimangano ma senza salvare file xmp.Grazie

Today I installed Creative Cloud plus Lightroom and now I cannot use Camera Raw anymore, because of a license problem? In a bad Dutch translation it says something like "This Camera Raw operation requires a license for a qualifying product." but I have Adobe Design & Web Premium installed. Although it's already old, it worked perfectly fine, until today.I asked the helpdesk and after 5 different chats they say: Design and Web Prem is from 2012 its an older version for which we have no direct support. Please write your query here [link to community].Help?!All apps are updated.

I don't want ACR to apply any sharpening or noise reduction. I have tried to create a preset for this but it keeps reverting to Adobe Defaults. How do I make this stop? My workflow is slower than with previous ACR versions where I could "save new defaults" with a click.

When Camera Raw 12.3 starts it always defaults to the bottom of the Camera Raw scroll bar.. Anyone know how to make it start at the top of the Scroll Bar where "Edit" is?

ok so I have a 2013 Macbook Pro core i5 16 gigs of ram.  Running the CC Suite all up to date.  My workflow is Bridge/ACR/Photoshop.  When I open a raw in ACR from Bridge for processing everything is fine.  I process the image the way I want it and when I hit open, it comes up with a red tint in photoshop.  BTW this only happens on my secondary monitor.  it does not actually change the image.  If I open edit/color settings, it goes away.  I don't have to change anything just opening it fixes it.  If I do a ACR filter when it comes back into photoshop it puts the red tint back on.   If I process image through Lightroom and edit in photoshop it does not cast the red tint.  So I am thinking it has to be with ACR.  Any ideas? I prefer Bridge/ACR/Photoshop because lightroom is slow and histogram is not accurate.  But this is really killing my workflow.  Plus I will add ACR filters all the time so even using light

Anyone else getting this or know how to fix it? I'm running Windows 10 version 1909. My GPU is a Radeon RX 580 8GB. My CPU is Ryzen 5 2600 and I'm running 16GB of RAM.If I turn off GPU accelleration, the problem goes away, but without GPU accelleration, ACR runs very slowly, so that's not really a good fix.I'm also running the latest AMD video drivers.

I have uninstalled everything, then deleted all the foldersfor everything Adobe and then run the Adobe cleaner and then reinstalled, but nosuccess. Hello Everyone. I use the X-Rite Color Checker and  Imported a Shot from the Color Checker in Camera Raw, and Saved It as.DNG. Later I drag the.DNG file Into the X-Rite ColorChecker Camera Calibration Software to create a Custom Profile. The Profile is saved In this Folder:User-AppData-Roaming-Adobe-CameraRaw-CameraProfiles.When I open Camera Raw, inside the Profile I do see Color-Monochrome, and Browse. If I use Browse, It only shows the Adobe original Profiles such as Artistic, B&W, Modern, Vintage.I do not see the Custom Profile that was created by the X-Rite Software. I personally do not like this new Interface, I like the Older Version of Camera Raw.Thanks.

I have opened an image with a Color chart in it on Camera raw, and when I select the eyedropper tool (to adjust the white balance) what I get is the Hand tool, but not the eyedropper and cannot select the correct grey I want. It also happens when I select the Color Sampler tool.Is there any issue or bug on the system? Do I need to reset something?By the way, my computer is a MacBook Pro with Retina Display.Thanks in advance for the help.

I run two systems on a Mac Pro Desktop with 32 gigs of ram. One system is running OSX High Sierra 10.13.6, the other is running OSX Mojave 10.14.6. Both are running the most current version of Photoshop CC 2020 and its version of ACR. Within 10.13.6 I can merge 3,4, 5 or 6 raw files to a single DNG without any problem. Within 10.14.6, when trying to merge the same files I get, "Merged result exceeds maximum size." In both cases the preference option is set to 21mp at 16 bit per individual raw file. I have run through the ACR preferences and can find no setting that changes the outcome in 10.14.6. I have no problem running the automated merge in Photoshop CC 2020, but I want the DNG from ACR first for possible future readjustment, and then I can dump the raw files and recover a lot of storage space. What am I missing here?

I created a profile but know I want to make some changes. Is there any way I can edit the profile and play around with the colors and re-save it? The profile is an XMP file. Thanks in advance. 

I am long time user of ACR. All of us know problems about new version. I did downgrade because the version 12.3 was unusable. Today I tried new version 12.4 with expectation that all bugs will be solved. Haha. Almost nothing. Crop tool is still same (no classic version)! UI is confusing. If you use Crop tool the image remains small or big (no automatic fit to window).Sorry but I pay Adobe Creative Cloud and I want to have new version which will work. I do not want use old version for years... It would be nice if someone competent from Adobe tell something. And I don't count unusable online chat support.It looks like Capture One Pro will be at the first place for me. Jakub

I download Raw 6.7 for CS5 the latest version. It will not open Song ARW files. I can do it with DNG so that solved an issue. However, I'm curious even though it's the  latest raw version for CS5 ... is 6.7 too outdated to load Sony file? 

When I open Nikon Z6 RAW files in photoshop the image is completely wrong. See Attachment. I have the newest version of camera raw and photoshop. 

The DNG converter did a great job converting .ARW files from Sony A 7iii but gives me a parsing error when attempting to conver older Sony files. I am stumped. Did the new DNG converter drop camera support? How can I get an older version of DNG converter or any other app to try?  I am running Mac 10.14.5 (Mohave). Thank you.
