Camera Raw

I was pushed into 12.4 and I regret it. What's the improvement? I don't know - I haven't found it yet. What are the drawbacks? One can no longer set "Neutral" (or any profile aside from Color or Monochrome) as the default starting point. I guess they decided we want the Adobe engineers to initiate the editing process. One reason I shoot RAW is to have control over the image. It appears they have completely illiminnated the perspective control tool. Can this really be true? Am I just missing it somewhere? If they did indeed delete it ... what in the world are they thinking?

Hi, I've just edited a bunch of photos in ACR but then it crashed. Can I restore the edits I've done somehow?

I have the latest version of Camera Raw but the sliders don't work for me. How can I go back to the previous version. Thank you

For the life of me I cannot figure out 1 good thing about the new UI on Camera Raw 12.3I did not sign up for Lightroom.  I hate the placement of the tool barsI hate that the Tab layout is now and endless challenge of scrolling up and downI hate the crop toolI hate that the functionality of the hand tool to view your cropped photo in full screen seems to have goneI hate that there's no quick toggle out of crop viewI hate the vertical menu layout vs tabsI hate that it now takes me 3 times longer to process my photosI hate that you were too lazy to keep the SAVE button WHY WHY WHY ???

I just formatted my main disk and installed Photoshop CC on my pc. All the settings are reseted as expected but Scrubbing Zoom feature doesn't work in Camera Raw. It's grayed out and says "(GPU Only)" while I can use this feature in normal mode and it recognizes my GPU. Is there a way to fix it?

Accidentally faced with color degradation in DNG resulting from Photo Merge to HDR. It looks like a strong decrease in saturation in some tones, as well as the diffusion between different contrasting colors across the color boundary. The algorithm ACR of noise reduction in the color component behaves in a similar way at high values (over 40). But in Lightroom settings I didn't find a way to control the Photo Merge to HDR process. The problem was detected with RAW received from Canon EOS 90D camera in Ligtroom version 8.4 (ACR 11.4) and confirmed in Lightroom 9.3 (ACR 12.3). The DNGs were obtained from 5 exposures (5/3 stops per step). Making a DNG from 3 exposures (also in 5/3 stop, just discarded the most extreme frames), the problem is expressed less, but still there is. Checking on Canon EOS 5Ds and Canon EOS 70D cameras did not confirm the problem. There is nothing wrong with the DNG from RAW on these cameras. I am importing some XMP profile into Camera Raw from another machine. These profile includes a .dcp calibration profile. But when I load the settings I get a warning triangle stating that 'Profile not installed, rendering incorrect'I have searched far and wide and found several posts showing how to do this. But for some reason it doesn't load. I have tried placing the files both in c:/Program Data/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles as well as in c:/Users/[username]/App Data/Roaming/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles with the accompaying xmp in the settingsfolder in the same location. (eg. c:/Program Data/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings) I've tried restarting the machine. I've tried editing the xmp to have a simpler name, I've tried omitting the md5 hash check ... But I'm running out of ideas. This is one a fresh install of Windows 10 64 Pro with Photoshop, Bridge and CameraRaw. Nothing else so far.

Suddenly my PS Raw coversion does not run at well, slides wont move etc.uninstalled anreinsatalled PS and also did install from Adobe Raw.Windows reports no errors

As a professional photography studio we have developed hundreds of presets that we use constantly in our RAW workflow. Presets were previously used on the Canon EOS 5DSr. However when opening .CR3 files from Canon R5 in Adobe Camera Raw 95% of all our presets are not compatible with the images. This also affects all presets from VSCO cam.  I'm wondering why or what it is that would make these presets work with one Canon camera file and not another? Is there any solution from Adobe that would make these presets compatible? Or do we need to  throw all that previous work in the trash and start from scratch developing presets?

Hello and please help. Having no problem opening JPEG's from Bridge to Camera Raw, but I thought it was also possible to open TIFF's. No option available now. Am I wrong, can you open TIFF's into Camera Raw, and if so how? Thank you.

Hello all, what a disappointment when I tried to use the raw files from my Canon EOS-R. I am using Lightroom 3 on my Mac book pro. I tried to update the  program but I get an error messsge  like I'm not hooked up to the internet, when I am. Any thoughts or solutions. Thank you 

It is possible to edit with multiple screens at the same time when editing in ACR. Once the image is opened, I know how to have the image open on both screens at the same time. But is it possible to do this when you just pass the images through the ACR module? how could it be done?Thanks and best regards

Working with Camera Raw was simple in pre-12 Camera Raw. You could update an image and then syncronize the rest of the images by clicking on an icon. With 12, that icon was hidden behind a single icon (more stupid clicks), but you could still get to it. Now with 12.3 and later that's also gone. Why ruin a decent flow. At least put a menu where you can get to the damn features rather than forcing folks to memorize keystrokes if they don't want to. If nothing else, stop forcing an update to the latest 12 when I've installed a pre-12.3 version. 😕😕  

I've searched for answers and can't find them. When in the new 12.3 version of Adobe Camera Raw batch editing multiple images (or even a single image for that matter), how does one apply a color label? I used to be able to for example hit ctrl+6 to label an image red in ACR. Now in this new version that doesn't seem to be working and even right clicking doesn't give an option for color labels. Thanks in advance for the help. 

So not sure who can help me here but when I make a preset and try to save it on my phone as a DNG file after trying to put the preset on the collage it just shows up as a blank grey / black screen how do I fix this ?

When I open RAW files in Lightroom, Elements and Photoshop, images open in Develop module with rows of red and black pixels throughout the image and blocks of random colors.  I uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom and installed a new graphics card with no improvement.  JPEG files open correctly.   This problem also occurs with Elements and Photoshop.  If I open a RAW files in Luminar and export it to Lightroom, the problems disappears.  I tried changing settings in Lightroom, to no avail.  This problems began with Camera RAW 12.3 and continues with 12.4.  I also converted RAW files to DNG and the same problem occurs.  This problem is present with RAW files from various camera formats, Olympus, Nikon and Sony. 

Bonjour,  Je ne comprends pas pourquoi, mais sur mon mac (Catalina) je ne peux pas importer de filtre Cube/3DL... car l'option n'apparait pas dans nouveau paramètre prédéfini. Et, les fichiers sont grisés dans "charger des paramètres". Seuls les XMP sont lisibles, et je ne sais pas convertir un .CUBE en .XMP  

I have Lightroom 6.4 as my rural internet just doesn't work with a SAS editing solution.This used to be fine, and then I needed to re-install the software. Now I am back to Camera Raw 9.4 which won't let me see Sony A6300 RAW photos.  I followed the instructions and downloaded and installed Camera RAW 12.3. Seemed to install just fine. When I reboot and reopen Lightroom, I am still at Camera RAW 9.4.  Desperatly needing to process images for a customer job. I'm out of ideas and looking for a fix or recommendation for another local app that can do some basic RAW editing.  ThanksMike in Bulrington, ON.

How do I reset the tools (right panel) in camera raw?  I don't have the crop tool showing.

Does anybody knows why there are no lens profiles for Olympus lenses in Lightroom? Olypmus camera profiles are all available, but no lens which does not seem to make much sense. Isn't there enough "pull" from photographers? I guess quite a lot of people use Olympus lenses togetehr with the bodies... To create own lens profiles is quite time consuming and not so easy to do.I would like to know whether I can still have hope that some day this will be provided...

I've already updated my ACR to the latest version (12.4.0.555) but the crop tool issue remains. It's almost impossible to use, so slow to move the tool. Btw, i'm using macOS High Sierra.

CameraRaw on SmartObject, Radial Filter - Error and Crash - Problem shows up with Photoshop CC2019 and CC2020 (current versions)- It's not the size of the pictures.- Current driver for Nvidia P2000 installed.- Use graphics processor in Photoshop / Services, deactivated, no change.- Use graphics processor in CameraRaw settings, deactivated, no change.- Photoshop basic settings reset.- Error with picture in 16bit or 8bit modeCan somebody help me with it?

Hi group,I was trying out the new Photoshop last night 21.2.2 So i open a RAW photo, open camera RAW ( 12.4 ), i draw a radial filter somewhere on the photo to localy boost the exposure, but the exposure is applied to the whole picture not just within the radial filter?? What am i doing wrong? Of course the invert field is checked. I cant understand whats wrong with this new Camera RAW interface. Any clues?Cheers in advance

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to add support for Raspberry RAW files.A kind guy made his own algorithm to transform the RAW file from the RPI to DNG supported file but I have to run it on the RPI first.https://github.com/schoolpost/PyDNG The problem is that the output of a RPI command is in a JPEG format with the data dumped after the JPEG last line. I am doing astrophotography and I extract the information to edit the files firstly in lightroom and then photoshop.
