Hi, does anyone have a good ACR preset to convert scanned col negatives to positives?i know it's basically flipping the curve (dragging the white and black points down/up) and I could save that as a preset. But there are other adjustments, like the col cast that would be good to have included... plus all other sliders (except contrast) work in the opposite direction so its difficult to add other presets on top
Hi all. Is it possible to disable the scrubby zoom in the latest acr? I much prefer to create a selection around the area I want to zoom into. Can't seem to be able to do this anymore.
Hey,since a late Update of Photoshop and Camera Raw (July 2020), the "Camera Raw Filter" looks and works different than before. All of my old Lightroom presets are gone in PS and are now replaced by useless default "Profiles". Is there any way to get the old Camera Raw Editor back or to get your Lightroom filters back in there? What's the right procedure here? Thanks for any help!Edit: Replaced the word "filters" by presets thanks to user elie_di
Hi, I have a raw image file taken with my Nikon and it has been in both Photoshop and Lightroom and somewhere along the way the file has changed. Is there any way to bring this back to the way it was when I took the picture? I tried using Bridge Edit/Develop Settings/Clear Settings and nothing has changed. I know, I should have made a copy first and didn't, my fault. Thank you.
Adobe. What have you done?Overall, I'm not too bothered by the changes in 12.3. Some are improvements, some are slightly worse and I'd certainly like the ability to revery to the previous layout - as someoen who doesn't use lightroom, making it look more like lightroom is just a pain.BUT cropping is now completely unusable - I'm not exaggerating. The previous version was great, simple, straightforward and effective. Now I simple can't use it and am having to do all my cropping in photoshop.PLEASE revert to the previous version until you can make improvements that are actually improvements!
Can we get the UI to be editable like Adobe Premiere, Photoshop etc - so we can choose which panels to "disclose" rather than Adobe's slightly arbitary choices? I mean seriously, who applies a vignette in ACR without adjusting its settings? We have Lightroom for playtime. [Branched from unrelated thread by moderator.] [Title renamed by moderator for clarity. Was "Camera raw features are gone"] .
A beta version of the Adobe DNG Converter is now available for download. If you have a newer camera, released since June 15th, you should check out the converter to gain access to your raw files for editing until the next versions of Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop are released. Does anyone know why marquee zoom not available in the Bridge Update? I used it all the time, now with update it is disappeared. They moved several items around (like save button, zoom tool/hand tool) which I will retrain myself to use. But marquee tool is a must for quick zoom in on faces and such. Any help?
I have Photoshop CS6. The adjustment brush ( I hope this is the correct name in English) does not work.Is there a simple method to solve this problem or do I have to install again Photoshop CS6?Thanks for your help,Jan Boersma, The Hague, Netherlands
If I install Adobe Camera Raw Plug-in 12.X or later, cameraraw will not run on Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Bridge. In Adobe Bridge, on the ACR layout selection screen, there is no response when the next button is pressed. However, only Camera Raw Preview works properly.Adobe Photoshop says you can't open a program.* I tested it with multiple JPEG, CR2 files. I used the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool several times to delete and reinstall Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, and ACR. But, this problems are happening still! It works well on the next person's PC or my laptop. It only happens on my PC! (PC specification is worse than the person next to it.) If I install version 10.5 of ACR, it runs well in Photoshop, but the Preview feature is not supported in Bridge. It just looks like a regular icon. Could it not be executed because of the graphics card specification?[My PC Information]Windows 10 (version 1909) 64bit32GB RAMIntel(R) UHD Graphics 630
This problem occurs after Camera Raw 12.3 version update. After adjusting the image size in the configuration, you can't zoom in 100%.It supports 100% magnification only with the original size that does not resize the image. For example, if you enlarge the original size of 30x40cm to 50x75cm, and then zoom in 100%, you will still see a 100 percent expansion of 30x40cm.Because of this, problems occur when working on such things as noise reduction and sharpening effect. I'd like to know if this function has disappeared or if it's an error. And please return the +/-
Is ACR 12.3 a "Bridge" too far? I have posted before on the problem of opening a file from Bridge into PS when it first opens in ACR. It is virtually unusable due to EXTREEM lag between any slider adjustment and visual result (up to 15 seconds). I have had my hardware tested like never before, the latest drivers, removed all maner of start up programms to no avail. I have spent over 5 hours on line with Adobe support (I can't fault the effort but no cigar!) and there has been no improvement. ACR 12.3 opened from the PS Filters menu works perfectly. It also works in LR classic as a mater of interest. Before the last major upgrade everything worked perfectly and my workflow was tidy and quick. Now if I use Bridge it is taking up to a full minute to get to an opened file in PS.The sequence now is: click to open file in Bridge>wait>File opens in ACR<click open > wait>file opens in PS (no edits have been done so far)>Open Filters menu>open ACR filter> start work - up
Is there any way to switch back to my previous version of Camera Raw for Photoshop. Your automated update is unwanted and not requested. With the new version automatically updated, I've lost all my presets and don't see any way to create or save new ones. Please stop messing with what works.
Since I have upgraded to the newest version of Camera Raw, one things has become very frustrating/annoying: After making all kinds if changes to a photo, I will hit the P key to do a qucik before and after preview, but half the time, hitting P just eliminates everything I did! When I hot the key again, I get the "nope" sound. It is acting as if I have just opened the image again. Anyone else experiencing this? Is it a bug? Is it user error? Is there something about the new Camera Raw I'm not understanding? I'm on MacOs Catalina 10.15.6. CR version 12.3.0.493
Dear AdobeI have to work 3-5 hours daily basis on ACR and sometimes 8-10 hours a day, life was so simple untill you released an atom bomb on those who loved ACR only because it was not lightroom, it was so simple, fast, and convenient. 1- New User Interface sucks and how in the hell you can even think of such a UI which is so complicated and who gave you the permission to mess it up with those who had become so comfortable the previous UI. 2- Previously adjustment brush was a superb thing now you have messed it up, everytime I click on the +(new brush) entire setting from the previous brush remains same which was not the case in the previous version, and for god's sake if i want the previous setting to remain same why would i need a new brush you morons. 3- Shifting the entire workflow to the right side, why would you do that, who is that designer that you hired to do it, looks like you didnt paid him well, i feel like banging my head in the wall everytime i have to make
helloany projected date for Camera Raw update for new Nikon D780? Thanks!
Whoever thought it's a good idea to put delete button next to every preset should seriously reconsider what they did. It's so easy to just misclick. There should be a prompt to confirm the deletion or something and I cannot believe that a company like Adobe would make such a terrible UI mistake. I just removed one of my most important presets for work and since I got so used to it, I have no idea how to recreate it from scratch. Is there a way to get it back? (no, I don't have a backup of it at least not that I know of)
Hola a todos. Quisiera consultar sobre un inconveniente que me está pasando que desde que se actualizó el editor no puedo sacar la marca de agua ni editar. Me podrían ayudar.
Is there a way to arrange the workspace in Adobe Camera Raw 12.3? I want to maximize the image area, by removing the tool bars above and below which are mostly blank/wasted UI space. I don't need the top 2 centemeters of my screen just for the file name, or the bottom 4 cm for how many stars or which preset. Can I remove these bars? Or could all this information be put into a 1 cm bar? To maximize a 2:3 image on the screen would be helpful. Please note, I'm not asking about the filmstrip.
Good morning all.I did an update to Catalina on an SDD on an imac late 2013 in addition to having big problem of importing image on my SDXC cards (I have to go through my macbook pro) I can no longer arrive to export my images from bridge or Camera raw even with the latest versions (included ACR 12.3) I am running out of ideas to solve the problem. I can't find anything on the adobe forums or on the macs forums.I saw that there was a possibility to reset the SMC. can that be a solution? Can anyone help me?Thank you
Hello, I'm just beginning to familiarize myself with the changes to Camera Raw 12.3 and can't figure out how to toggle just the adjustments made using the Adjustment Brush. In older versions, you could use cmd+option+P (MAC), or use the button on the bottom right of the Camera Raw window. That seems to be missing now? I can still use the P key, but, that toggles ALL adjustments, not just the adjustments made using the currently selected tool. I can't imagine they would have removed this feature entirely, given how crucial it is to toggle your adjustments on/off to make sure they aren't overly harsh or unnoticeable. Thank you for your time!
I am shooting with sony A7r II and currently convert all my ARW files to DNG using Adobe DNG converter. Can someone please clarify the following? 1. Are lens corrections written into the original ARW files carried over to the DNG? 2. For known lenses to Adobe, will the corrections be automatically applied to the DNG files created? 3. For lenses not known to Adobe, will the manufacturer profile from the ARW files be applied if available?
where is the lens correction module in the new adobe raw?
Am I crazy? My muscle memory keeps trying to scroll the thumbnail gallery (now at the bottom, but it used to be along the left side) with my mouse wheel. I thought the last version did this. The current (updated version 12.3) is absolutely not responding to mouse scroll wheel motions though the arrow keys seem to work. Does anyone know if this is a setting I need to change? I've been through preference settings everywhere I could think of.
