Camera Raw 14.5 won't preview my raw files. Tried opening from Photoshop as well as Open with Photoshop from explorer context menu. Added to that Camera Raw seem to be missing Open/Done/Close options as well. (It is not visible no matter how much I maximise the app)One popular opinion online is to change the preference of graphic acceleration from here. I've tried all the options there as well. All my adobe apps are up-to-date. I am on Windows 11. This used to work with same camera's raw files until a day ago of posting.
Hi, After updating to the latest Camera Raw version, the plugin freezes immediately when launched via either Photoshop or Bridge. This only occurs on my work laptop with an AMD Ryzen 6000 series processor (with RDNA2 integrated GPU), even when using a dedicated NVIDIA GPU (GeForce RTX).The same system configuration, but with a Ryzen 5000 series CPU (Vega iGPU) on my colleague's laptop, works without issues with Camera Raw 17. Both systems run the same OS version, the same NVIDIA drivers, and the same Adobe CC versions.Reverting to Camera Raw 14.5 fully restores functionality, confirming the issue is with ACR 15+ and Ryzen 6000 compatibility. System details (failing configuration):CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 6600H with Radeon Graphics (RDNA2 iGPU)GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPURAM: 16 GBSystem type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorOS version: Windows 11 24H2Camera Raw version(s) tested: 15.0–17.0 (failing), 14.5 (works)Photoshop version: 26.8B
I like the Reflection Removal tool and after kind of seeing how the algorithm works, I had a thought to see how it would work to remove the hazy remnants of a fence, that zoo photographers struggle to completely blur out. This would be an absolute blessing to zoo photographers if the Reflection Removal tool could be refined as a Fence Removal tool. Check out the results!
I wish I could use my scroll wheel to adjust sliders in Raw as I do in Photoshop
Reproducible Fix for Adobe Camera Raw Crashes on Intel Arc Graphics 140T (Core Ultra 7-255H)(Test platform: Asus ExpertBook B5602)Adobe Camera Raw 17.x can hard-reset / crash the integrated Intel Arc Graphics 140T in Core Ultra laptops (e.g. 255H, 285H) when full GPU acceleration is enabled (AI Denoise).Fix: Adjust GPU Acceleration: In ACR Preferences, unchecking Use GPU for image processing. Hello,I'm trying to uninstall Creative cloud from my mac for a few days now. Every time I get an error that there are some apps running. I uninstalled all the apps from Adobe, Creative cloud shows only one app left "Camera Raw" - how can I remove it and finally be able to uninstall Creative cloud?
With the move of the Enhance feature to the Detail subpanel, ACR no longer provides estimated times for Denoise, RAW Details, or Super Resolution. I assume the programmers simply forgot it, so I'm submitting it as a bug.
In ACR 17.4, when an enhance feature (denoise, raw detail, super resolution) is applied, the file size increases which is expected. However when the enhance feature is later unchecked, the file size stays the same and does not return to the original file size. Is this expected? This seems wasteful for storage space.
I have had some problems with Camera raw since Version 17.2 came out. it crashs almost every time I try to mask. At the time I had a RTX 3060 TI GPU and have had no problem with it before. I thought it was the 3060 that was defect so now I have bought a 5070 TI. but Camera ram still crashes when I mask and I can't set up the 5070 TI properly under performance it says that the 5070 TI is only Limited graphics acceleration is active. Its in danish but Begrænset means LimitedAnd here is a runtime error! Can anyone help?
First time post, not sure if I'm in the right section. Around half a year ago I bought Photoshop Elements 2025 and I really enjoy it. Up until todauy I had no problems, but all of a sudden Camera RAW it needs GPU acceleration. I have a Nvidua 2080RTX graphics card and it used to work just fine. I tried looking the issue up and read some advice to update the drivers and I think I did this. I've added some screenshots (sorry the are all in dutch). Am I missing something, or is my graphics card not supported anymore?I hope someone has some advice for me.
- carte graphique NVIDIA RTX 2060 . RAM 16 GO.J'utilise un NIKON Z8 donc 45 millions de pixels.Quelqu'un pour m'aider ?Merci beaucoup
If multiple images are selected with different specific settings (say, Exposure) the Exposure field will be blank to indicate that there are differing settings across those images. However, if two images with different Denoise amounts are selected, the amount field is not blank and will display an incorrect value for at least some of the images.
As much as I love the Dehaze slider, there is one thing about it that I absolutely HATE and that is when it decides to go psycho in altering the color-balance/white-balance of photos. These example photos may not show up (I've had issues with photos disappearing from being uploaded), but here is one pair from earlier today... the tint setting on WB is just 50k apart, one click on the arrow key.. but the difference is HUGE.All settings are identical between the 2 photos, the only change was hovering the mouse over the WB tint slider and pressing the up/down key once.. changing from 5850k to 5800kI often get similar shifts going from consecutive, continuous-high photos from frame to frame with the exact same settings, no changes in wb settings, and it all seems related to the dehaze slider and the way it analyzes the photos.Years ago, I thought I actually had a defective camera, as the photos would change biggly even using the same exact settings 0.1sec apart. Eventually, I tracked
I would like to see an option to merge photos for multiple exposure in the Photo Merge section. It could have the typical options for merging, such as Additive, Average, Bright, and Dark.
Hi all, I'm having issues using Camera Raw in Adobe Bridge on my MacBook Pro 2024 (Apple Silicon, fully updated macOS and Creative Cloud apps). When I try to open RAW files from Bridge, I get the message:“Camera Raw requires GPU acceleration.”In Camera Raw Preferences > Performance, the "Use Graphics Processor" option is grayed out and disabled, and I can't change it.I already tried forcing GPU via a config.lua file in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/GPU with overridegpu = true, but it had no effect.I also tried giving Adobe full disk access and screen recording permissions in macOS settings.Deleting the GPU folder and restarting didn’t help.I finally uninstalled and reinstalled Camera Raw completely via Creative Cloud, and cleared all cached settings, but still no luck.It feels like Bridge and Photoshop simply refuses to connect properly with Camera Raw, even though my system is powerful enough. Any help would be hugely appreciated — thank you!
Hi! Been wondering why we dont have Lens Flare/reflection remover option for the AI, like on newer samsung phone's it's build in but it's not the best always. And it would be better if you could already in the app remove flares and mirroring. That's about it😅 I'll be waiting.
camera raw flips images when opened. not all of them, some are displayed normally, some open on the side in the other direction. All the photos were taken on the same shoot. How to solve this problem?
With Camera Raw's latest update, editing with features like Enhance is now easier and more flexible. When Technology Preview is enabled (configured via Preferences), Super Resolution, Raw Details, and Denoise can be used seamlessly and readjusted like any other non-destructive edit tool without creating a separate DNG file. I bought the Sony ZV-1 Vlog (point and shoot) camera and made some (RAW) pictures at home. When I tried to import them into Lightroom Classic, I get an error "Can't open file in Lightroom". I checked if the camera is compatible, Adobe site tells me it should be okay. I downloaded the latest version of Lightroom Classic on my Laptop. I also tried to import RAW pictures from my Sony A6400 and with that I had no issues. Does anyone know what to do? By the way, I have a Macbook Pro 2020.
Right now the 12 bit raw files of the Lumix S1RII are about 2 stops underexposed. I was hoping that with the latest Camera Raw update 17.3 a full support would be added, but it seems like it didn't happen. Will this support come in the near future? Attached is a comparision of Capture One and Lightrom, both adjusted to almost same exposure. C1 i had to increase by .5 while I had to bump up the exposure in Lightroon by 2.5, resulting in a higher noise. Shooting in 14 bit, Raw files are correctly exposed. but higher burst rates are only achieved by 12 bit.
Every now and then I get errors whilst using ACR in Photoshop stating 'The graphics proccessor has encountered an unrecoverable error, due to a runtime error GPU acceleration has been diabled for the remainder of the session' - often when using masking tools. Also get: 'Camera Raw requires graphics processor acceleration to edit photos' This is happening on my new PC running Win 11 with an RTX 5070 Ti 16GB graphics card. I've tried addressing this with support but all I've been advised to do is rename the 'GPU' file so that a new one is created which has made no difference. Oddly, I have similar issues on my previous PC so I asked Adobe support if any of the items are copied form my old installation to the new one such as crop presets and Actions could be connected but was advised that they would not. I generated a log file which I uploaded to Adobe but they have not commented on what if anything this shows. Unfortunately I feel I am just being given an
Good day! I am using Adobe Creative Cloud on my new Samsung Galaxy Book5 360. Before buying it, I checked the specs and I run the Adobe Diagnostics and it says the laptop can support the Adobe suite. Nevertheless, Camera Raw (on Photoshop 26.6) crashes often. Mostly when using sky mask, or erasing people, even though sometimes it just crashes without a clear reason. I sent the error reports but got no reply yet.Ii also crashes on Premiere Pro (25.2.3) Did anybody experience a similar problem? Thanks and regards
Hello, I might be finally purchasing a professional camera. Before I do so, I just wanted to go over a few things with post processing. I would be recording all my pictures in the raw format and then converting them to dng with Adobe's DNG Converter. I have to do this because my version of camera raw will not support any camera on the market. I have already decided that I will be discarding my proprietary raw files after being converted to dng. Now, what exactly should I do with the dng files? Obviously, I have to render them since I can't do anything with them as dng. Do most people render them in camera raw to jpeg or tiff? I understand tiff is recommended for printing and jpeg is recommended for sharing. How about the color space, should I render them as ProPhoto RGB, 16bit for the hightest quality? Would this apply for jpeg and tiff? I know it's stongly recommended to keep the raw files, (in my case the dng files) even after being rendered just in case you want
In most cases, exporting AVIF and JPEG XL with corresponding settings produces files of fairly similar size. There's some variance as expected, some images compress a bit better with one format than another. But certain raw files inexplicably compress very, very poorly with JXL. Here's a sample DNG file that exhibits the problem. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Cs7TiY7LeA3CGUVCAzqKUl9pLSK6ek7X/view?usp=sharing It seems common to DNGs produced by the AI denoising function or HDR merge tool, but that is not universal (I've found raws from the same camera that can be enhanced or made into HDR stacks and still compress normally on export) The settings in the attached screenshot barely compress it at all from the original DNG! Despite said DNG containing over double the amount of pixels, and ostensibly less compression. The AVIF version with the same resolution and quality setting is over 80% smaller than either one. Again, on most images switching to AVIF at the same
