Camera Raw

OS 10.11.6 using PS CS6 and trying to instyal latest DNGconverter as it will not open Nikon D850 .nef files. Trying to update camera raw by downloading DNGConverter but it is stuck on "verifying "converter ......"tried several time no luck (not even 10_2 worked same issue)  - is this the only way to upgrade raw for CS6 ? Selecting update takes me to Creative Cloud and only the CC version has an updated raw ...(prefer to use CS6 even though I have Cloud programs)

HelloCan anyone tell me please why I am suddenly getting the following error every time I try to run Camera Raw filter in PS CC (Win 10 64 bit)"could not complete the camera raw filter command because of a program error"I've searched google and this site for this error message but come up  with nothing.I would rather not reinstall if there is another fix. I don't think my system has changed in any way so I'm perplexed as to why this should suddenly start happening.Many thanksRobert

I am using the desktop version of Lightroom recently upgraded to 5.7, and I seem to be unable to import RAW files, despite the G9 being listed as compatible. Can you help?

I recently bought the XH1 camera by Fuji and camera raw doesnt open up.I downloaded both camera raw plug ins 10.3 and 9.12.1  and it still doesnt work.What do I do? I need to convert files today for a job deadline tomorrow. Help! @

I just downloaded the DNG Converter 10.3 for the conversion of RAW-Files of my SONY RX100 V to Lightroom 6. The installation of the converter fails with the hint that Mac OS Version 10.11 or higher is requested. I have already updated my Mac to OS Version 10.13. Has anyone an idea to solve the issue? Thanks for support.

I am exporting files from Photomechanic to launch in ACR, I make changes to the raw files, and press 'Done' as I dont want to save or open the files just yet. When I open them later on in the day - none of the amendments have been preserved. That being said, there is an inconsistency as some of the files have retained some changes. I have tested this many times and am sure I am not going mad! Any ideas?Many thanks

I have dual monitors.  When i view in adobe bridge, color looks normal.  When it is opened in camera raw the photos appears very saturated and once open in PS its normal again.Please help!  I am not sure how to deal with this.  I tried switching to different profiles etc...its not working.Thanks in advance!Moderator: Moved to Adobe Camera Raw

Files converted using this latest version are not recognised by all relevant photo editing software (eg Luminar 2018, DXO Photolab), while  older versions are recognised. Why is this? What has happened in version 10.3 that causes this?

So I have some DNG files I exported from Lightroom, and so when I first open them in PS, the Camera Raw dialog box opens and shows me the same settings as they were when the image was exported from LR (ie. the Exposure setting, white, shadows, clarity, etc all match the develop settings from the Basic panel in LR when the image was exported to DNG).Now, when I open them in PS, the Camera Raw dialog box does show up and shows me basically the same adjustments as the Basic panel did in LR when the image was exported, which is good.  However, after I open the image, and go back into the Camera Raw dialog box, it's like all of the sliders are zeroed out,  and the changes I made in the Camera Raw dialog box when opening the image, are burned into the image with those settings (so basically, i t's like any changes I make to the image after opening it, will be in addition to the adjustments applied when the image was opened based on the adjustments from LR).I though that there was a

Suddenly, the file size of every new image I open in Camera Raw is cut in half!Metadata shows full-size files (ex: 5760 x 3840) in both RAW and its jpeg twin (I shoot both). But as soon as I open either file in Camera Raw, they become 2738 x 1825 !! Yet if I bypass ACR on the jpeg version, the file opens in full!All images across the board.(It just cost me a bunch of rejections from my stock photo house for being "too small.")HELP!Thank you very much!Rick M

When ACR is use as a smart filter on a smart object layer. And later the Canvas size is increased. When I open the smart ACR filter the adjustment brush pins and stroked are wrong. Increase the canvas size again and there wrong. Each time I increase the canvas the Smart filter mask is also increased in size.

I am trying to organize my presets into my own file structure.  When I add set of presets such as Coles ... Name, it appears as a folder with the presets in it.  For some reason, I have two folders within presets entitled User Presets.  I can't move files from the second User Presets into the first.  I also want to create a set of folder names such as Vintage and move all of the Vintage presets I have acquired into it.  While I can move the files with normal software, when I use the Presets in ACR, they stay in their old folders, particularly the ones in my 2nd User Presets folder.   I notice that the preset folder creates an Index ....dat file but deleting this file doesn't solve my problem.  Has anybody been successful with creating custom folder names and moving presets into this folder?Is there any difference between I preset that I create and one that I import after another person has created it?  Thanks in advance.Don

Two questions have come up since the latest ACR, and Lightroom updates relative to the new color profile feature. With my Canon 5dsr files, I get a range of camera profiles, Adobe profiles plus basic, artistic, vintage etc as options in the profile browser.When processing DNG and Cinema DNG files from my Inspire 2 X7, the file loads with a profile called EIOFF (one would assume this is EI mode turned off)...a strange name, but isn't loading with anything close to what EI off should look like. (the image should look like a typical Adobe standard, or camera standard profile, this one looks full contrast, but very low saturation.) When I go to browse the color profiles, all the Adobe ones are missing. There are also no Camera profiles...there are  2 basic profiles and an assortment of legacy artistic and vintage profiles only. Anyone know what gives? Same thing is happening in LR Classic.Also...curious if there have been any improvements with using ACR or LR to process cinema DNG ima

I have moved my copy of Elements 14 to a new machine (Win 7 to Win 10) via the original CD. Elements installed ok, but Camera RAW 9.5 did not - Error code: U44M1I210 I found a reference that said 9.5 was incompatible with Elements 14 and that I must upgrade to Elements 18. Funny that, since RAW 9.5 was working perfectly with Elements 14 on the old machine! What is going on?

Hi,I am trying to update my CC versions for Lightroom and Photoshop as upon checking I found that the latest plug-in of Camera Raw is needed to read the Fujifilm X-H1 RAF format files. However on running the updates option it says -FATAL: Sanity check for installation failed, Current version of HD Client 4.2.0.211 does not support this build with minimum supported version 4.3.0.1FATAL: Error occured in install product workflow with error code 188 error messageAny help will be appreciated.Thanks.

the SDK for new lightroom (7.3) mentions that Look Tables can be used as well as LUTs (look up tables). these Look Tables appear to be CSV files and the SDK came with an example.  how do I interpret these Look Table files?*originally posted this question in the Lightroom Classic forum but was suggested that you guys would be able to help*

When I move the slider in camera raw the image does not change none of the tools work, when I open photoshop the image has  changed to what ever slider I might have moved.

Lightroom converts RAW images from my FujiFilm X-T1 but not for FujiFilm X-H1.  There is other RAW conversation software but I prefer to use Lightroom as I have done in the past.  Any insight or solution suggestions?Thank you
