When using Matlab to deal with a DNG picture,it shows that the BlackLevel and WhiteLevel is 2047 and 15000 respectively. But there still exists a weird phenomenon that the intensity values of some pixels are out of this range (2047-15000), such as 1997, 15297.Why???
At work we are running Photoshop CC Version 14.1.2 x64. I have tried loading both the new 10.0 and the 9.x camera raw updates. Neither one seems to work, each try I try to open a NEF file created by my Nikon D3400 I get the following error.I have had IT support over and tried logging in as Administrator and we get the same results. I have also noticed that under help the selection for "Updates" is greyed out.Any ideas or suggestions I might be able to try? Would greatly appreciate any help that can be thrown my way.Keith Howard
AS of the new CC2018 versions and RAW 10.0 I am no longer able to view Sony's .arw files in Bridge or even open them with RAW (right click and open with RAW. So I figured maybe it wa a Bridge issue. Tried to open directly from Photoshop and still same error. RAW doesn't recognize the file format. AM now installing older versions that I know worked to see if I can have any success (doubtful) as of course there is no way to install prior versions of RAW! Come Adobe, this is basic stuff that shouldn't break so easily just because you insist on CC2018 being pushed out so quickly.
Hi CommunityAfter Updating PS, LR and Camera Raw, CR does not work anymore in Bridge (it does in PS). All raw files in Bridge are shown as generic icon and the camera raw option is not available. Metadata is also not shown (see first screenshot)If I go to Help -> Updates it shows that all applications are up to date. I have checked if the camera raw update is in the right folder. And it seems to be correct.I also purged the cache of the folder but without any success.I do not know what else I can do. Please help!Fabian

So if i leave and come back i have to float my mouse everywhere hoping to float above it for the mask to show and then i can select it. I have overlays checked to show so whats wrong please?
After update Camera RAW to version 10, turned off grafic acceleration in ACR and Lightroom Classic with error. Previous version work good. What to do?
How can I have a User Defined Picture Profile from a Canon 5DM3 show up in the Camera Raw pull down menu when I am processing the CR2 files in Photo Shop's Camera Raw extension.
I am currently on MAC OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite) using CS6 (Bridge 5.0.2.4). I recently upgraded to a Canon 5D MIV and have been unable to see the raw files in Bridge. I upgraded Camera Raw to 9.1.1 as some suggested, but I'm still seeing only the CR2 icon. I realize I can convert the files to DNG to read them, but why should I have to give up my original raw files to read them. Any solutions I can try? Thanks.
I use Lightroom with Fuji RAW without issue (X-T1, etc.) Recently I had some raw pictures from a Fuji XQ2 pocket camera which also stores in RAF format. However, Camera Raw/Lightroom import it and its RAF processing puts in some rather severe edge highlighting artifacts. As a random example with no Develop modifications applied, here is an example of that artifacting. It affects all camera profiles (this is with Fuji ASTIA mode)As a sanity test, I tested the same RAF files in CaptureOne, and there was no issue. Here is how C1 shows the same image:Any suggestions on how to get XQ2 RAF processing fixed up?[Moved from the non-technical Lounge Forum to the Camera Raw forum... I have Photoshop CC 2017 (recently upgraded from 2015) with ACR 9.1.1 (I attempted to upgrade to ACR 9.12 but found that 32 bit image editing in ACR was disabled after 9.10 so I went back to 9.1.1). I'm trying to edit my Merge to HDR Pro 32 bit images which appear in PS as smart objects and open in ACR. I don't open Merge to HDR in Lightroom due to the amount of excessive noise generated in the shadows. Opening the smart object to bring up ACR takes about 60 seconds on average however on occasion it will freeze and I'll have to shut PS down from the Task Manager. While I'm waiting the for the image to enlarge, the widget monitor shows the CPU at between 25 and 30% and the RAM is between 30-40%. I have a hand tool lag of minutes before anything happens and when I try to enlarge (either with the mouse or with the presets such as going from 50% to 200%) the lag for any activity has so far been as high as 22 minutes (yesterday) however it could take as low as
Can anyone help? Recently updated CC apps and now in camera raw version 9.12.1 the reds are orange and highlights blown. They appear ok in bridge and photoshop.
I'm new to ACR and find the presets already loaded in ACR (accessible through 'basic' and 'apply preset') are excellent. Is there a way to to easily toggle through each of the 90 or so presets, applying them to the photo I'm working on without going back to 'basic' and 'apply preset'? I'm sure there is a simple and screamingly obvious answer.
Recently, I'm working on the DNG related works.I have some questions about adding the TAGs of DNG.I have already added multiple DNG Tags into the raw image using a script build on MATLAB. Such as CFAPattern2, CCM and etc. After read the specification of dng 1.4.0, I found there are three HUE related TAGs which I haven't added into my MATLAB script.•ProfileHueSatMapData1•ProfileHueSatMapData2•ProfileHueSatMapDimsThe type of ProfileHueSatMapDims is LONG, and this tag stands for the divisions of hue, saturation and value.I've found those three values always be 6 6 3 (still not sure how these value will affect the raw image). For the other two TAGs, both types are FLOAT. With the help of ExifToolGUI, I can get there is a large amount of binary data stored in these two tags as shown below. With the help of MATLAB build-in function, I can convert the jpeg image from RGB color space to HSV color space, using --- rgb2hsv. My problem is how to transfer these HSV data generated from rgb2hsv into Pr
I am unable to open jpegs or TIFFs into camera raw through Bridge CS6. Camera Raw preferences are unavailable. The error message reads: "Camera Raw editing is not enabled. CR editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature."I get that message when I click on Camera Raw Preferences and when I use command R.CR works in Photoshop when I open a jpg or Tiff file in the Camera Raw format.I am using OS 10.10.5 and Camera Raw 9.1.1.Any suggestions? Thanks!
Every time I calibrate my monitor interface in Ps and Lr change color! Bridge is fine dark gray as always! Ps in dark blue now . In Lr develop gives me true color , when I go to edit to Ps it has blue tint ! 😞 If I do not calibrate , no problem!?
My workflow has been disrupted with the ACR 9.12.1 update because the Camera Raw filter settings in Photoshop no longer match. Can anyone recommend a fix?I process a high volume of images and can't figure a recordable solution...I want to apply camera raw settings to an image and retain the original as a background layer in the file. Previously I was able to automate this using the camera raw filter settings built into an action, easy peasy. Now the ACR interface/settings are different for each camera which no longer match the photoshop filter. This is responsible for a dramatic sometimes bizarre color shift when using the camera raw filter to apply a preset created with the updated version of ACR. The real problem is not having an efficient way to push a ton of images through in one step. So far my workaround idea has been to open image as a smart object and create the layer structure I want, save/close. Unfortunately I can't manage the color in that pass as editing a smart object isn
After a recent update of Creative Cloud the adjustment pins in Camera Raw have gone missing. Does anyone know how to get them back?
Now what? These are D800's NEF. As you can see, there are plenty to convert.all data belowthanks anyone
I found out that the presets for WB for Panasonic FZ80/82 are very inacurate and tend to tint pink/purple and green sometimes. Daylight setting is reported as 3300K instead of 5600K and so on. Is it possible to correct that? The first photo is camera WB, the second one Lightroom daylight settings.
I have Camera Raw 9.12.1 installed on a Mac 10.13.I'm familiar with the usual location of the Camera Raw profiles at Library>Application Support>Adobe>CameraRaw>CameraProfiles>CameraI can see the various camera profiles inside this folder. However, I was looking for the profiles for the Canon EOS 6D Mark II and don't see any.I see profiles for the 6D, 7D and 7DII besides many others. But none for the 6D Mark II.However, if I open a 6D Mark II RAW file in Lightroom, I can see the different camera profiles in the Camera Calibration module, (Neutral, Landscape, Faithful, etc.)I wonder where Lightroom is pulling these profiles from. Is it using the profiles from a different but similar camera? Is it pulling profiles from a different location?I'm a little mystified because the profiles are appearing in Lightroom and Camera Raw but aren't apparent in the usual folder.Any ideas?
When changing the exposure slider in CameraRaw (plug-in and filter), the histogram in the top right corner of the window changes dynamically. When a certain number of pixels end up at level 0 or 255, the color of the triangular marker changes. Is there any publicly available reference to the conditions under which the color change happens (such as, for example 0.5% of the pixels of the channel are there)? Thanks in advance for any hint.
Hi all,I did not know mobile version of Lightroom can take photo with DNG format until last week.So I tried with Nexus 5X which has 12.3 MP. Nexus 5X - Wikipedia The saved DNG file is 24,163KB. It is almost double. Is this supposed be like this big?I have Sony Alpha 5100 (24 MP) and the raw file (ARW) is about 24.5MB.Sony α5100 - Wikipedia Other old camera is Canon 5D mk2 (21MP) and raw file is about 22-24 MB.Canon EOS 5D Mark II - Wikipedia So I thought MP (mega pixel) representation and raw file (mega byte) is similar range.Thank you,Naoki

Hi - I just tried DNG Converter 9.12.1 on Win 8.1 and Win 10 and neither (2 different computers) can see the RAW files. I've tried it will uncompressed RAW L and lossless compressed RAW L files, both when the files are on the hard drive and when they're on the XQD card reader via USB. I've attached screenshots of what it looks like. Help please? Thanks.
