I have purchased a Canon 80D and find that it requires Camera Raw 9.5 for the files generated. Photoshop 6 only seems to update to version 9.1.1.Does anyone know when higher level updates are going to be supported in Photoshop 6 or what is another solution?
Hello. I need to open a raw NEF file from nikon d810 with my adobe cs4. help!
I am working with Bridge on a PC and I use to to organize my photos. I'm trying to move photos around and it won't let me drag and drop photos where I want them to go. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I've tried googling it but I haven't found a solution. Thanks!
I've restarted photoshop and my computer, but I'm still running into this problem. When I try to use the adjustment brush, even when all settings are on zero, it dramatically darkens the area that I want to work with. Does anyone have any idea how to "reset" the settings for the adjustment brush in camera raw? I have version 9.1.1, and I have not installed any updates recently. The darkening is still there but less when I turn the flow down to one. This problem came up about a week ago when I was processing some photos and hasn't gone away since.Edit: it is also happening with the graduated filter
Hello - I have a new camera and my RAW files are appearing as icons and not opening in Photoshop and Bridge. I get an error message in Photoshop taking me to an Adobe page. Cameras supported by Camera Raw I updated the plug in and restarted machine. But I am still getting error message. I looked about Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw and the old plug in is appearing still, 9.1 and not 9.10. I wanted to clear the old plug in out from system and and reinstall . But I cannot find the old plug in. Thanks
Hi Gang,First time poster here. I have the creative cloud for photography and am having a bit of a snag. When I go into check my Camera RAW it says it is up to date with 9.1.1.461. Since I have a Nikon D3400 I need version 9.7. When I go to updates it says my Camera RAW is up to date.I have downloaded and run the CameraRaw_9_1_1.exe installer still have the old version. I am sure I am doing something wrong and will probably be an easy fix, but right now I am stumped and will take any help anybody can give me.Thanks,Keith
I have Photoshop CS5 Extended version 12.0.4x32. All of a sudden it's not recognizing raw images in either Bridge or Photoshop and I can't edit those photos. I checked for updates and it says there is a Photoshop Camera Raw plug in update available. I told it to update and it says there was a problem downloading the update. I tried it more than once with the same result. Why would photoshop randomly stop working and how do I fix it? Thanks for your help.
I have recently upgraded from a Panasonic GX7 to a GX8 and I now cannot open the RW2 files. I have checked I have installed the latest version of Camera RAW and that the camera is supported. Any ideas, please?
Hi there,I was just wondering if there's a way to select all spot removal edits and copy and paste them to a different snapshot of the same image? As you might have guessed, I edited the wrong snapshot and would like to save some time if possible! (Everything else about Shapshot 'B' is right, it's only the spot removal I want to add from Snapshot 'A' - so I don't think I want to 'merge' snapshots because the other edits in Snapshot A have been improved in Snapshot B.)Thanks for your help
There are some few Adobe tools running on my device not targeted by the Creative Cloud auto update engine, most notably the DNG converter raw image conversion facility, which becomes available in a new version about every time Adobe Raw Converter is updated. In contrast to Raw Converter, which is updated as part of PhotoShop, DNG Converter is left unmodified and can thus outdate easily. As the support pages have a lot of explanations, menu screenshots and bla bla, but no simple feature wish ticketing system, I hope my suggestion becomes heard by someone accountable reading this forum.Thank you for your attention, and kindly vote for my suggestion if you favor it.Karsten
I have a Panasonic Lumix GX8 - I'm running Windows 7 64 Sp1 and I've installed Cameraraw 9.1 but DNG 9.9 tells me my camera is not supported - any ideas?
This is driving me mad.I bought a very expensive SpyderCheckr 24 color chart in order to do my camera profiles with DNG PE.I am using a Oly E3. I have converted the Oly ORF files to DNG.Then I open DNG PE and i select the DNG file. it opens fine.I move the dots to their correct places, (with DNG PE "chart" tab selected)I leave "both color tables"select Create Color Tableand I get a dialog saying Cannot read color patches. Please use the four color circles to identify the four corner patches of the chart and try again. What is going on?Someone please help, I bought the chart for this use only!

DNG PE has the cyan dot on the right and the brown dot on the left. If you place the dots on the correct patches (therefore crossing them over) the dialog comes and says PE cannot creat color patch. But if you just leave them where they are (the cyan dot is then on the brown patch and the brown dot on the cyan patch)well in that case DN
I don't know if this has something to do with the latest Raw update. But for some reason, when I select Mask for my adjustment brush and start to paint with it, I can barely see it. I used to be able to see it just fine.I played with different colours and all the settings are at maximum, but I get no change.Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I have my Leica M9 lens selection set to Summilux 35mm 1.4 (the non-ashpherical selection), and in the metadata in Lightroom the photos show as taken with a Summicron 35mm VI. This is a bit annoying. 🙂 I am assuming this is a bug, and I can't find any previous reports on this specifically.
Here lately when trying to use camera raw I get a lot of pixels showing up on my picture when trying to adjust the sliders.I have restarted several times but nothing seems to work. Do I try to install and reinstall PS to see if this would take careof my problems. I have had PS for several yrs and I'm just now seeing this problem.
Sometimes a RAW (NEF D800) file that has had previously applied edits (settings, brushes, gradients, etc) re-opens without these edits. I save the versions by creating snapshots. The edits are saved in the XMP sidecar file.Sometimes it will apply an earlier version, but not the latest one. If I make a new snapshot of the first version it may work, in that case v1 works, v2 does not and v3 does.Bonus: sometimes after clicking on the various snapshots, a dead one may come to life. Sometimes it very briefly flashes and dies again...I use ACR as my main image editor, so there are many edits applied, most of them with brushes that often overlap. I lost hours of work during the last week.Latest version of ACR en PS CC2017 on latest version of MacOS Sierra.
Running Lightroom 2015.8 on Mac (10.12.3); no longer importing Sony ARW files from A7ii (ILCE-7M2)Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks
When converting a raw RW2 file from a Panasonic camera, DNG converter (latest version 9.9) clips away 8 pixels on the right side. This produces problems when using the DNG as input to other programs, e.g. DxXO or RawTherapee. The effect is as follows:original RW2 file from camera is reported by dcraw, PhotoNinja, RawDigger, XnView as 5488 x 3664. dcraw can extract raw data to images 5488 pixels wide.converted DNG is reported by dcraw, PhotoNinja, RawDigger or XnView as 5480 x 3664. dcraw can extract raw data to images only 5480 pixels wide, i.e. 8 pixels missing.in-camera JPGs are 5472 x 3648 (i.e. 8 px border compared to raw data)From original RW2 DxO creates a JPEG in the size 5472 x 3648From converted DNG DxO creates a JPEG in the size 5464 x 3648 (8 pixels missing). Image differs from JPEG created based on original not only by size but also in corrections. Difference between original file and DNG-based increase from left side of image to the right . Maybe this is due to lens correc
Hello,My post is to show that i think there is something wrong with the profiles created by Adobe for some camera (5DS / 5DSR / 5DMarkIV), and i will try to explain why here. It's a serious post, and not a whining post etc.I do a lot of retouching for many camera , and i'm stuck with the raw for 5DS/5DSR/5DMarkIV and not with some others (5DMark II/5DMarkIII/6D for example). No problem with Nikon/Sony at the moment. My problem is about tonal response curve included in the dcp profiles. The dcp profiles for 5DS / 5DSR / 5DMark IV are made with an "adobe98-look" tone curve. Resulting in crushed blacks, and to much contrast.Just to prevent some answers : it's not a calibration problem. I'm fine with all RAW for many camera, except 5DS / 5DSR / 5DMark IV, and i tested on many computers, mac and windows. And with different calibrated monitors etc.How to see the problem :5DMarkIII :When I open the raw in DPP (canon), the raw have a srgb look (srgb / srgb). When I switch to adobe98 (srgb / adob
i keep getting this message when I'm trying to transfer images as layers to ps, I'm sure I've got camera raw installed ??
Hello to all, This is my problem: Lightroom works perfectly even with heavy adjustments. If I do the same adjustments on Camera Raw this gets slower. How is it possible? Do not they have the same "engine"?Note: Camera Raw becomes slow when I use the adjusting brush (which is not even fluid if I use it first) or the graduated filters. Lightroom is always fluid!I have a MacBook Pro late in 2016 - i7 2,7ghz - ati 455 - 512 SSDPsI reinstalled Photoshop and Bridge, cleaned cash, upgrade cash to 20GB. The last is reset MacBook?!Thank You All!Fabio
http://i68.tinypic.com/2ugo1ax.pnghttp://i67.tinypic.com/2dougn.png I keep getting there errors when I try to open up certain photos in both Illustrator and Photoshop. These specific photos are png file type which are just screenshots that I took of the errors themselves. What is going on and how do I fix this?
I am considering the purchase of an Olympus OMD EM1 m43 digital camera. I have heard mixed and negative rumors about the ability to edit the raw file images generated by the camera in Lightroom. Everything I can find on line about the subject is several years old. Can anyone update me on the 2017 status? I don't want to purchase a camera that I can use lightroom to process my images.
