Hi. I have a new computer with windows 10, I put the DNG codec (the last version is still for Windows 7). Now I can the my DNG pictures on explorateur, Photos or Bridge, but they are not Ok (fuzzy). I think it's a trouble with the Codec because my Nikon RAW files (NEC) are fine. Do you know how I can make my pictures look nicer on Widows 10? Merci
Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I cannot find anywhere on the web the difference between ACR and Bridge. Is it the same thing? I'm switching over to ACR/Bridge from LR and would really like to know the difference between the two. Thanks
I know this has been posted already: I am opening a JPG file in ACR (9.7) and when I am Done, I get"Unable to save the raw conversion settings. There was an error parsing the file."The most credible explanation is here:Re: error parsing the file--Camera Raw It mentions some potentially non-standard EXIF content which gives trouble to ACR (even though every other program I tried has no issues reading the EXIF content, as far as I can tell). In another post someone suggested that "Adobe is pretty strict about adhering to standards and not known for bending over backwards to try to recover if something's out of place.":Re: Parsing problem in Camera Raw The curious fact is that the JPG file has been produced by... Photoshop CS6 on a Mac (I am on a Windows box). Would that be the source of the problem? In any case it seems that if it is a problem of someone not following the standards, it is an internal Adobe problem....I can send an example of a problematic JPG to someone at Adobe, i
I have a 5D Mark II, MacBook Pro, all updated versions of LR, PS, Bridge, and as of last night I now have DNG Converter 9.7, as well. I imported my raw images using a card reader like I always do. My CR2 raw images cannot be opened anywhere!Trying to troubleshoot I put the card back into my camera to check out the images and it gave me a question mark icon and a message reading "Cannot play back image."What's going on? I appreciate any help you guys may have for me!
I am unable to reopen a .PSD or .TIFF file in the Camera Raw plugin after I have made changes to it. I can open the file in the Camera Raw Filter, but it doesn't show the changes I made. At one time, we were able to reopen files again after they have been worked on and go back into Camera Raw and make more changes, but that seems to have disappeared. Or has it and I just can't find it?This is what I'm doing, when I open a .CR2 file in ACR, I make changes to it, such as noise reduction and color. I then hit Open Image and it opens in Photoshop. I work on the image and occasionally find maybe a highlight is too bright and want to go back into ACR where I adjusted it before. But when I open the Camera Raw Filter, the changes I made to the original .CR2 are not there. I used to be able to open the file again in Camera Raw where it shows me the changes I made and can modify them more, but I can't find it now.Any help would be appreciated. I tried the Adobe Chat, but they weren't able to hel

I was trying to use my ColorChecker Passport to work on my photos, but it needed me to upload a DNG file in order to get set. Now that I converted some photos to DNG, I'm unable to save my files as CR2 the way I was able to prior to converting one folder to DNG. Thanks in advance for your help.
Sony Image Data Converter opened and automatically associated with Adobe Photoshop. But I cannot see how to associate the Sony ARW file type with Lightroom. Any help out there?
Hi Folks,I have been trying to open Canon 7D CR2 raw files in Photoshop CS6 (Extended) (Windows 8.1) but I'm always getting the error "Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse your file". I installed the Camera Raw plugin ver 8.8.0.397 today. Did this initially by downloading and running the CameraRaw_8_8.zip available here Camera Raw plug-in installer. Still got the error.Went and did the Check Updates in Photoshop and updated the Camera Raw (and other components) but STILL cannot open the CR2 files.I can see the thumbnails in Bridge but when I double click to open them in Photoshop, same error.Cannot seem to get past the "Could not complete your request..." error.Any ideas?Cheers,Doug...
Importauswahl in LR zeigt s/w-Bilder. Nach dem Import sind sie in Farbe. Kann ich mir doch gleich das Fotografieren in s/w sparen - will ich aber nicht.Freue mich über jede Erklärung und Hilfe.Danke Hanfbach
I have a new Canon EOS 5D Mark II and CS3, so I cannot view the CR2 files from the 5D in Bridge in their native format. I read all the posts and upgraded to ACR 4.6, then upgraded the camera profiles to those in the ACR 5.2 package (the one that includes the 5D Mark II).I then read that I need the DNG Converter to generate DNG files from the CR2 files, so I have installed DNG 6.3.Problem now is that the DNG Converter will not recognize any CR2 files on my machine, neither the new 5D Mark II CR2 files of my old Rebel CR2 files. When I navigate to a folder containing CR2 files with DNG it says "No images have been selected" in the "Select images to convert" section of the GUI.I have no idea what to do, I need to get the DNG Converter working to view the files from my new camera in Bridge. Help!
Will PS work on my Mac as well as my Micrsoft Surface laptop?
I am trying to follow online tutorials for changing the background of a photo in Elements (I have 14) - to a plain background, for which I believe expert mode is required. But my question is about something more basic. Right now, the view choices such as the eraser tool, which the tutorials are saying to use, are not coming up on the left of my screen at all. How do I bring them back?
when processing Rawls files adjustments are not actively live, for example when I enlarge, rotate or adjust position of a raw image i move the sliders and release the click of the mouse (or raise my pen from wacom) and the image will not have responded until,I do so , so you can't position ,rotate ect... live you have to move in minor incremental steps and wait to see the result, when processing huge volume of raw files as I do this costs me hours and hours in production time , any one else having this problem ,or got a work around , no I'm not keen on reverting to previous version, I need an update or solution
Hi, I am running Photoshop CC (v 2017.0.0. 20161012.r.53 x64) and ACR 9.7.0.668 on Windows 10 Pro v1607. When I open pictures that have a color label ACR just shows a white label. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any ideas how to solve it? Thanks in advanceOliver
Recently, while processing images in Adobe Camera RAW 9.7, a portion of the photograph that I am processing projects in the histogram panel. After a few seconds, the image goes away. During the same time frame, my computer (new and with plenty of memory and a great graphics card) powers down without warning. Extensive diagnostics run by the computer manufacturer reveals no issues. Please help!!!
PSDs exported from photos created by Photo > Photo Merge don't have a completely correct compatibility layer, causing InDesign to think that such a PSD is missing a compatibility layer. A user reports that having many such PSDs in an InDesign document causes it to slow down quite a bit, presumably because it is using a slower, more general code path to interpret the layers of the PSD.The cause of the problem is that, when exporting a PSD, LR fails to include a Version Info resource block (id 1057) with the "hasRealMergedData" flag. Normally, this doesn't confuse applications, since most exported PSDs have just the compatibility layer, and applications ignore the "hasRealMergedData" flag. But in the case of photos created by Photo Merge, the PSDs have two layers, the compatibility layer and a second layer containing the transparent pixels (compatibility layers can't store transparent pixels). Because there is no "hasRealMergedData" flag, InDesign must assume there isn
in ACR I always make new standard settings for my (new) camera at every ISO the camera makes. So there's no need for me to adjust noise reduction every time. In case of a damaged folder I really like to know where this file is located. furthermore I can than duplicate the file and put it in the same place on my other computer.
