I am working with some 360º panoramic images. They all have the <GPano> metadata tags in them so that Camera RAW will recognize that they are 360 images and perform Edge Aware filters on them. This all works fine. However, if I Save the file(s) as JPEG directly from the CameraRAW dialog in Photoshop by clicking the Save Image button in the upper-right corner, the resulting saved file will be stripped of the <GPano> metadata and therefore will not be recognized as a 360 panorama anywhere else that I use it (Facebook, Google Photos, etc.). But... if instead of saving the image directly in the Camera RAW dialog I Open it into Photoshop then there I can save the file as a JPEG (after converting it from 16-bit to 8-bit) and the <GPano> metadata is preserved correctly. So, the bug is that Camera RAW is not including the <GPano> metadata from the original .dng files when it saves JPEGs. But opening it into Photoshop and saving from the
I have just purchased Elements 2024 and installed Camera Raw 16.0. Now every time that Camera Raw opens I have to click the Basic option to make adjustments to my image. I have never had to do this in previous versions of this software as the drop down list was always displayed. There does not seem to be a way to force the Basic drop down list to be permanently displayed, which it always was in previous versions. Clicking the Help button is useless as it just opens an error page.
Can someone please explain to me how to add the hidden sliders in ACR 12? I see comments that to add the missing detail masking slider, you have to go to hidden panels and enable them, but I can't figure out how you find the hidden panels or sliders menus? Is that through bridge or photoshop? I use CC.
Camera raw when opening raw files cuts the edges. These are images that other products handle properly! Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I installed the new version of Photoshop and the problem remained

Amount slider in Masking doesn't update the picture when moving too fast, while holding down left mouse button. Windows 10, x64, ACR 16.2.1.1767 / PHSP 25.6.0 20240312.r.433 2bfcbf1 x64 Resetting the Camera Raw preferences made no difference. I was able to reproduce this issue on a different Windows 10 machine, ACR 16.2.0.1763 / PHSP 25.5.0 20240214.r.375 Steps to reproduce:Create any mask (let's say radial), set exposure to -1, Feather 0 for better visibility. The Amount slider should be in the "100" position.Click and hold the Amount slider. Move the mouse pointer fast to the left. Don't release the mouse button. The slider position reads "0" but the mask effect is still visible. Release the mouse button - the mask effect updates on the image. The same goes for fast movements to the right (beyond the "200" position). You have to move the slider really fast to see this issue. Expected behavior: the mask effect visible on the photo should be consta

Hi,Several times now my camera raw app totally locks up when I click on the Masking Tool (the round brush circle icon). The basic tab page works fine. The minute I click on the Masking Tool, the pop up appears over my photo "Important Masking Changes" - picture of the cute little fox. From that point it completely locks up, I have to go to Task Manager and have it stopped. I'm working on all the lastest versions, including CR V.15.5. How can I avoid getting the pop up ad?
Hi all. I don’t know if this is a bug or a feature, but if in curves I move a point to the very top of the coordinate plane, then it runs to the value 255/255.I was attaching an example video that demonstrates the behavior of the program.acr 16.1.0.1728. You can, of course, move a point from the keyboard, but this is not always convenient, since the science of programming is not yet so perfect that a point can be moved exactly diagonally from the keyboard, and not just vertically and horizontally. Maybe in 10 years such a keyboard shortcut will be invented. Well, in general, sometimes it’s convenient to move the point with the mouse cursor.
My workflow is to browse my camera files (raw) in Bridge, "Open with camera raw" them with ACR and do some editiing, and the press OPEN button to open the file in Photoshop. But for several weeks, maybe even months, when I press the OPEN button in ACR nothing happens. What uesed to happen was that Photoshop launched and the image was passed from ACR to Photoshop. Now I press DONE in ACR and then lanuch Photoshop manually, then from Bridge I select my file and "Open" from Bridge which in turn launches Photoshop and the launches ACR and then the OPEN button will pass the file to Photshop. It is s sublte difference, but a built-in habit for me. If I "Open with camera raw" from Bridge then ACR is launched from Bridge and Photoshop is not launched, not resident in memory. If I "Open" from Bridge then Photoshop launches in the background and ACR is spawned from Photoshop.Have I got this right? Anyone noticing this change? Did I do something stupid (wouldn't be the first time)?I just checked a
Hello,I am hoping that someone can help me solve this problem. The Camera Raw Interface is too large to fit on my Dell 15" screen. I have searched the forums, tried adjusting the display interface, and I am still not having any luck adjusting the size of the interface. This is what it looks like. Can anyone help me here?
Mac Studio Sonoma 14.4.1 / PS 25.7 / ACR 16.2.1 I haven't had issues with the profile before, even when I first processed the image in 2015. I am revisiting old shots because I can now process them better with the new tools in ACR. Regardless whether the image is Nikon RAW or enhanced DNG, the 2 shots I have of this tree have the same problem. When I work with the images in the current process version, ACR is creating visible artifacts in the all 4 corners (see images). I used the curve to enhance the problem. As a work around I was ble to successfully use a similar profile without any issues. I just noticed that the problem happens with the V2 profile and not the original.
I'm having issues in timelapse sequences with vignette properties changing when I change shutter speed and I need to vary it via the XMP data. I set keyframes, edit those, then interporlate the values in the XMP files via a custom tool. There are thousands of images so it's not practical to do it manually - the code interpolates the values set in the keyframes. The issue is I can't figure out how the XMP file stores vignette data. There's a slider in Camera Raw for "Vignette" but there's no corresponding entry in the XMP file. There's a "VignetteModelParam1" but it's always equal to 1. Then there's a collection of entries under "VignetteModelPiecewiseParam" but those values change with every image, even the ones where the slider in Camera Raw is unchanged. So I don't understand what those values represent. It looks like they represent some kind of a falloff value as a function of radius from the center of the image but why do they change f
I´m trying to create a camera profile to edit my infrared photos. My camara is Sony DSC-F828. I save the SRF file in Lightroom as DNG. Then I open this file in the Adobe DNG Profile Editor. But when I want to change the temperature under "color-matrices", then "the operation could not be completed" appears. I tried to convert the SRF to DNG also with ACR, but the same reaction.More than 1 year ago, I managed to create a profile, but I´m not sure, if the version of the editor was the same. Does anyone habe an idea? Camera Raw Hello, Camera raw bug, in fact when I do a treatment with it it works the first time, but if I want to come back to it it applies the previous settings without even opening RAW camera. Do you have this problem? Thank you so much Photoshop 2024 Windows 11
How to reset Esc-key settings in camera raw? I chose not to see the message again. And that it should not close. But that combination was clearly not possible, because now it closes without asking.
I have Elements 2023. Under "Help" in Organizer, I selected "Install Camera Raw". A few days later, I tried to import a couple of raw images. Elements says it cannot read the files. I have a Sony A6700. What am I missing?
With the latest update, RAW automatically has 'Use profile corrections' under Optics checked as defaultI don't want to uncheck it every single time that I open a file; but can't figure out how to end this pain in the butt. thanks for any help
Camera RAW slow responses on Mac high resultion Monitor, but not on external low resolution Monitor. How can I fix it? By the way it is not a Performance Problem, as I had it on an old and new Mac.
Hi, getting "Merged result exceeds maximum size" message when using two image files to Merge to Panorama. I had a similar problem in a previous version about a year ago. Just in case the problem was not the current version of ACR, I downloaded 14.5 and it works fine.
Because I use the LUT "Crisp warm Look" very often, I want to make a custom profile for using in Lr. That would make my workflow quicker, because I don't have to open the images in Ps, only to get that LUT.Glyn Dewis made an how to on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTawgLU7lCk&t=167s.You create this in ACR. I've tried it with startingpoint Ps-ACR and also with Bridge-ACR.At first I struggled with the step to make a new profile (via Ps + ACR): tick the 3 dots (=More image settings), press ALT + Create Preset and there is the drop down menu where you can make a new profile. I press and hold ALT, but when I press Create Preset the drop down menu disappears immediately. But I found alternative way to do this, via Bridge + ACR: go to Presets, click on Create preset, press and hold ALT and Create Preset and there appears the drop down menu to create a new profile. So far so good. Then I filled in the drop down menu, see foto 1. I filled it just like the instructo
A lot of my images have been opening sideways recently and its killing me cause I can't find the rotate option. Apparently I am suppoesd to be able to press 'R' or 'L' to rotate my image but that does not work. I cannot find a tool or button to rotate manually either. I opened this Camera Raw from Photoshop 22.5.6 and running on Windows 10 if that matters. I opened Camera Raw through Filter > Camera Raw Filter.
