This post applies to Camera Raw. Feedback for Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop should be posted here. Update February 2025:Adobe has introduced two Adaptive Profiles – Adaptive Color & Adaptive B&W. Getting started with the Adaptive Profiles: Access a profile inside the profile favorites menu. In addition, there is a new section for Adaptive Profiles in the Profiles browser. Enable the profile and adjust the ‘Amount’ slider as desired. Use the rest of the Camera Raw tools just like you would otherwise. Check out the Help Page for more detailed usage information. For more technical information on the underlying technology, please refer to this blog post. Please try the profiles and share feedback in this community forum thread. It would help to include details like how you access Camera Raw (via Adobe Bridge or Photoshop), your computer system details, and as much information as poss
I see solutions for prior versions. I’m trying to uninstall the latest Camera Raw (18.2) because it is supposedly a workaround-fix to allow the prior version of Photoshop to open WEBP images like it did just few days ago. Every solution I have found suggests to click the 3 dots next to Camera Raw in the Creative Cloud desktop app, but those dots do not appear next to Camera Raw. I also could not find the file within the Adobe CC Suite in Finder. I do not have “Bridge” installed either.I went through the trouble of completely uninstalling Photoshop to try and remove Camera Raw, but no luck. Appreciate anyone who can provide factual information with clear steps.Thanks.
I have programs that generate full size DNG files, and I would like to use the stand alone version of Adobe DNG Converter to compress those files and then overwrite the original DNG to save on additional steps. I believe that is an option within Lightroom but I don’t see that capability within the stand alone app.I understand the risks associated with overwriting originals, but this a unique need for my workflow.DNG Converter 18.2.0.2482 on Windows 11.Many thanks.
Windows 11 laptop – latest Photoshop and Camera Raw versions (rolling back three versions did not resolve the issue).I open Nikon NRW files produced by a Nikon P1100. The problem began roughly a week ago. I have been using the same profiles for years without encountering this issue. The behavior occurs with some, but not all, RAW files. When I select Adobe Color, Adobe Standard, or Adobe Vivid and apply Auto, parts of the subject develop blue artifacts. In the attached example, the artifact appears on part of a bird. In other cases, the entire bird may turn blue. Sometimes the artifacts appear along small tree branches or outlines of foliage. The artifacts are always blue.Notably, this issue does not occur when using the Adaptive Color profile.Troubleshooting performed: In Photoshop → Edit → Preferences → Performance, I disabled “Use Graphics Processor.” This did not resolve the issue. I toggled between the Photos and Web UI design workspace settings. I rolled back several versions o

I love the Camera Calibration sliders. They are truly powerful color adjustments, especially when I want to change the “character” and response of certain sensors and something Adobe should be proud of. I have several presets based on those sliders and that is fine. But I would also like to include them when generating XMP/Creative profiles in ACR. Is there a reason they are disabled/not availble?
I'm not seeing any noise reduction using Denoise AI on Pentax K3iii DNG files in Lightroom Classic v12.3. Any future solution to this issue? Thanks Tom
Landscape AI masking does not work in LRC V15. After a while no mask is generated nor displayed. Using latest W10 64 version, i7 with 32GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro p620 with latest drivers (DirectX V12) and latest LRC process (V6). Everything worked fine until the update. Have tried disabling graphic card and same results. Any clue ? Is that happening to someone else ?
Muchas gracias
Is there a command line script I can execute in Windows (command line) that can have Camera RAW (Photoshop) load a RAW file with edit (XMP file) and then export it to a JPEG file?I know you can batch process images but this usually requires it to be done from within Bridge or even Photoshop, but I’m looking for a way i can do it from the Windows command-line as I’m trying to find a way to do this so I can use it as part of a program (that would then use the exported JPEG file).
The enhance details feature appears to produce some rectangular and square noise artifacts in the processed image. My baseline is a daylight RAW landscape (call it X1) photograph taken at ISO 100. The artifacts appear in the upper half of the photo (a partly cloudy region above a mountain range). Lightroom Version: 11.2 OS Version: Windows 10 Pro, Build 19044.1526 The steps outlined below are intended to illustrate the difference in images produced by Lightroom's baseline demosaicing algorithm with the "enhance details" demosaicing algorithm. Of course, the artifacts could be due to issues with the baseline algorithm ... but I doubt this is the case as it has been fielded for quite some time. The TIFF comparison process (steps 11-19) has been successfully used to evaluate Lightroom sharpening and noise reduction combinations. Other than the "enhance details" DNG, I have not seen similar artifacts produced by Lightroom. Steps to reproduce the are as follows:
I would like to request that the Adobe DNG Converter be installable, updated, and managed directly through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.Currently, DNG Converter is distributed as a separate manual download that requires users to periodically check for updates, download installers, and manage version control outside the Creative Cloud ecosystem. This creates unnecessary friction, especially for photographers and workflows that depend on timely camera-profile updates.Integrating DNG Converter into Creative Cloud would provide several benefits: Automatic Updates: Ensure compatibility with newly released cameras without requiring manual monitoring. Consistent Workflow Management: Allow users to manage all Adobe photography tools from a single interface. Improved Security and Reliability: Reduce the risk of running outdated versions due to missed manual updates. Better Enterprise Deployment: Simplify administration for organizations that rely on Creative Cloud for software l
On the attached photo, Distraction Removal > People replaces a group of people with a black patch, not a generated removal. Tested on LR 15.0.1 on Mac OS 15.7.1, Mac OS 26.1, and Windows 11 Intel (so not specific to a GPU or driver). See the attached screen recordings for each of the three installations. To reproduce: 1. Import the attached photo DSC02574.ARW. 2. In Develop, select Distraction Removal > People. Observe the group of people and their reflections are selected: 3. Click Remove, and observe that selection is replaced by a black patch rather than a generated removal:

This is a pretty simple bug that was introduced when "Raw Details" was changed into a button instead of creating a new DNG, it removed the ability to apply raw details to several raw files then merge them to a Panorama. You used to be able to do this with separate DNGs, but now this ability has been removed, please put it back!!! I have tried this many different ways, applying Raw Details to the raw files, when merged to Panorama it's undone and turned off permanently (visible when comparing the raw and merged Pano side by side). I tried applying raw details, then converting to DNG, then merging to panorama, same effect. The wonderful algorithm of Raw Details is completely wiped out when the image is merged to a Panorama, it used to work when it made a separate DNG, PLEASE FIX this newly introduced bug. Have not tried but likely the same with HDR merging!
Since I have used the updated Photoshop version (current @v27.3.1) from the second half of last year, I always had the corruption issues when I used AI mask features in Camera Raw Plugin . Most time after I edited a few raw format photos Photoshop mentioned to me there was an error and the graphics acceleration process will stop to use GPU. My computer has a GPU of RTX 3050 with 8gb. The recent new version of 27.3.1 is even worse and I can only edit one or two photos with AI mask features then the system shows an error related to graphics acceleration. When I used the old versions with AI mask features in the first half year of 2025 I didn’t have any corruption issue associated with the graphic acceleration. I don’t know why the old version is more stable the the new version.
It looks a lot like the CR18 bug described earlier, but it differs, and I have tried out to solve it.Photoshop 27.3.1Bridge 16.02.23Camera Raw 18.1.1.2422GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 407064 GB RAMIt started som updates ago, and it’s always in selecting the sky by itself or as a part of the landscape selection. Typically I get the message “Something went wrong...”Usually, it’s a problem in Camera Raw interface itself, but when opened through Photoshop, it may work well.I have reset all preferences in CR and Bridge, my GPU drivers are absolutely up to date as well as my Windows. After reset it worked one time!! Then it came back.If I reset GPU support in the Camera Raw settings, it will work for a while - nobody knows how long, but the error comes back. These maskings as well as other related editing has worked flawlessly for months, but lately - and here I am not sure for exactly how long - after some updates, it fails!Jan Petersen, Denmark
Hello, is there a timeline WHEN the Sony A7V will be fully supported by Camera Raw and Lightroom? I have clients waiting for their photos. The convertion is not an option. Too many photos and not fully working. I need a timeline please.
Title: Data Loss/Corruption in .HIF files (Panasonic) when writing XMP metadata (v15.1) Description: After performing a "Save Metadata to File" (or having "Automatically write changes to XMP" enabled), Panasonic 10-bit .HIF files are becoming unreadable. ExifTool diagnostics show a "No Extents for jpeg item" warning, and file sizes are truncated (e.g., from 12MB to 4.8MB). Lightroom Version: 15.1 OS: [MacOS Tahoe 26.2] Camera: Panasonic [S1RII] Reproduction Steps: Import .HIF files from CFexpress Type B card using "Move" or "Copy". Enable "Automatically write changes into XMP" in Catalog Settings. Make any edit (e.g., Exposure +0.5). Observe file becoming "Damaged or Unsupported" in Develop module. Expected Result: Metadata is embedded without altering the image data extents. Actual Result: The HEIF container is corrupted; the image data pointers (extents) are lost/deleted. ** I am unable to attach the corrupted .HIF file as this forum does not support it.. I tried converting
I have an ADOBE CC PRO subscription. Not Business. I've been using it for a long time and it worked until now, but today when I try to use it, I can't use the AI-powered selection tools in ADOBE CAMERA RAW. It says "unable to load AI selection model." However, the people and object selection tools in Lightroom work. The selection tool in Photoshop + Photoshop Beta, as well as the object and people selection tools, also work. Only ACR is giving me the error. My device has an RTX3070 and 32GB of RAM. I've been using it smoothly and quickly until now. I don't think it's a problem with my device. What could be the problem? I can't delete and reinstall ACR; there's no such option in the CC desktop application. I thought if I did a clean install, it would work, but I couldn't. I'm sharing photos of my settings below.
I would like to know - What input colour space is implemented when using LUTs in Camera Raw? What is "space" in the options? Is this going into the LUT or coming out of it? Same for the "gamut" options. At what point in the image processing pipeline is the LUT applied? Specifically I'm interested in this:What kind of LUT actually functions correctly in Camera Raw? I'm assuming that a film emulation LUT that expects Cineon Log as an input won't. I'm trying to understand if LUTs intended for video can bes used on stills, and how. I suspect they can, but only as "looks", without any mathematical precision, because their input isn't designed for still images and the output isn't made for Lightroom's processing pipeline, but I would like to check this is correct.
Hi everyone, We're excited to announce a new Adobe Community experience is coming this January. A little bit about the update: The new experience will be simpler to navigate, make it easier to connect with other creatives and Adobe experts, and is designed so you have a say in the evolution of the Adobe apps you use each day. In the meantime: Adobe Community will remain active. Keep using it as usual—there will be no interruption in access. In fact, you’ll notice even more Adobe Experts on deck to provide faster responses before, during, and after the update. No existing content will be lost in the update. Every single post, reply, solution, feature request, and bug report you’ve made will be transferred to the new experience. You won't need to recreate anything. Existing content will reappear in two phases. At launch, posts created on or before November 16th will be available immediately. A few weeks later you’ll see posts created between November 17th and launch day. W
