I updated today to photoshop 21.0.1 But camera raw is stil so slow, it is impossible to work with it. I was hoping the update from today would be helpfull but no improvement at all.
How do you add ACR brushes in since the update? Everything I've read has said to upload them to:Users/UserName/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/CameraRawFolder/LocalCorrections but I don't have a localcorrections folder within the camera raw folder. Everything I can find about it is from before the major update. Any ideas or suggestions?
Include new tools in the next updates?Sometimes I wonder why Camera Raw, there are some simple tools, which extend in the edition of the type photographers:Correction tool for red eyes, with yellow to white adjustment, for correction of yellow Teeth to white.Dissolve - Liquidy tool on one of the camera raw flaps. In removing spots with how to add holding Ctrl, but can not remove part of the selection. It would be cool with another key with this option.Sorry my bad English. And if it is posted in the wrong area, I apologize to the moderators.
Good evening. Tell me please. I'm having issues with Camera Raw. It just hangs, I can turn the sliders, but there is no photo to open. You have to end the Photoshop robot and start all over again.Notebook - Mac book pro M1.I already updated everything, but the problem started again, it doesn’t always happen, once in a while.
Folks This last update of camera raw 12.3 creates .xmp files besides my Canon CR2 raw files.... How do I bake my changed settings back into the CR2 file like have done for so may years before? -David
I run an app on my Mac called CleanMyMac X by MacPaw software. One of its features is to identify unneeeded cache files to free up space. Running it has identified 1.88GB of Adobe Camera Raw 2 cache files that can be purged. Does anyone know whether these cache files need to be kept for some reason?
Ever since I updated to 12.4.2 I am finding that it is taking 4-5 minutes for the masking feature in Camera Raw to select subjects and skies. I am also having this problem in Lightroom. I am running Windows 10 with the following specs so I don't think it is my computer and I haven't had this problem until this latest update. I have tried resetting my preferences; increasing the amount of RAM PS can use, and increasing the cache size, but none of this has helped. Does anyone else have this problem and, if so, how can I get it working properly?Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GBTotal Physical Memory 15.7 GBAvailable Physical Memory 2.88 GBTotal Virtual Memory 23.2 GBAvailable Virtual Memory 3.28 GBPage File Space 7.45 GB
I've seen tutorials on removing Moire using the Moire Reduction slider. But I don't see that option in Camera Raw 14.4. The first screenshot is from a tutorial and the second is from Camera Raw 14.4. Is there another option to use or was it moved somewhere else?
Hello, I have updated to the latest version of CC and am having issues with presets that are accessible in ACR but are not once the file is in Photoshop. If I go filter > camera raw filter, only half of the set is visible. Any ideas why or how to fix it?
Is there a way to create camera profiles in Camera Raw 14.1 for Photoshop Elements 2022.I can't find anything. And not in help either.
Please help me use the CR3 raw files from the Canon eos r5.
Loaded 50 images in ACR. I pulled wrong slider... Tempreature, had no inteniton of doing that. Amazing, after 100 years of this ACR, don't see a intuitive button to undo all things you just screwed up on. I did see in three dots reset to default but don't think that did the trick image still to warm thanks! Ah.. ok maybe wrong, temperature one and only slider where 0 in middel is not the default, so that is not the one to screw up on.. that said IS THERE A FASTER BUTTOM somewhere other than tedios three dots and mousing reset to default thanks!
In my Adobe apps home page, it is telling me that Camera raw is up to date (a tick with "up to date" below the Camera raw icon). But when I import an image, it is not displaying properly because it is still using an older version (10.5). I'm using the latest version of Photoshop 2020. Suggestions?
In Bridge, thumbnails and full screen are blurry for HEIC.If I double click on a HEVC file it opens in windows media player.I have the CC photographers subscriptionThe version of Camera Raw is 13.2.0.738The version of Bridge is 11.0.1.109I have downloaded both codecs from Microsoft and paid my 99 cents. Here is an example of what it looks likeIf i look at the images in windows photo viewer they look great. My workflow is Bridge and I need this to work. Here are my RAW settings in Bridge: Any help would be appreciated.
Since the latest update, ACR first starts to react very slow mid process and it's impossible to open or save the files. XMP files are not added to my file folder which means I have lost the adjustments on 102 images; a usual amount for me. Working on a MacBook Pro M1 Max 32GB. I encountered the same issue in LR Classic. Please fix this!
The “Golden Spiral” crop overlay is grayed out in Adobe Camera RAW v 14.4 on Mac OS. What could account—RAM, Graphics Card, etc? Deleteing Prefs had no positive impact.
I would like to see Adobe implement a crash-recovery feature for ACR. I know that the XMP file (for RAW files) is only written when you open the file into PS or you click Done and close ACR. It would be nice if in the background, ACR took "snapshots" of your work (not really snapshots like you would within ACR) but basically make a backup of your work, say every 5 minutes, and write it to a temp file. Then if ACR closes gracefully (doesn't crash) the temp XMP file is erased. If ACR crashes, then the temp file is detected and you are prompted if you want to pick up where you left off. I think for this to work properly, it would have to be such that ACR writes each change you make to the temp XMP file (sort of like how Lightroom Classic does this with the XMP file option turned on). I think if Adobe could implement this as an optional setting that you can activate, people would feel more comfortable using ACR. I know in some of my long edit sessions,
I would hope that someone can help me arrange my presets into folders that I can establish. My current presets are a mess, over 200. They are in groups, subjects, styles, portraits that have no meaning to me. I would like the groups/folders to be for example Black & White, Filter Pouch, Color, Sky, Tone, and be able to place the presets into these folders. When I go to the folder it has only i.e. B&W presets in that particular folder or grouping.I have gone to the common file stated Users/Name/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings and have arranged my presets in the folders I desire. It made no difference. I can load a preset from this folder into ACR presets and the photo changes to the preset but I cannot find where it remains after I am done and switch off of that preset. Do I have to load each individual preset and save it in the folder I just retrieved it from and then move to the proper group/folder? I can than establish a new group/folder to put the preset in; but I h
My 16 inch MacBook M1 Max is not showing the graphics processor in Camera Raw 14.4Any ideas on how to fix?
Hi, After numerous unresponsive Camera Raw edits, restarts are required to start working again. I wanted to ask if it is possible to save add the option to save an edit to a sidecar .xmp file directly after that change or edit is made in camera raw. When I edit a file in lightroom, the edit is saved in the lightroom database and saved in a sidecar XMP file. In Camera Raw, a sidecar XMP file is made when the raw file is opened in photoshop. But when camera raw becomes unresponsive, all the edits that are made are gone, and you have to start over again. A little background: About ten times per week, I make images of real estate. A selection of 100 to 200 CR2 raw files is opened in Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw as a plugin. I do three passes of all the images, and then I open them all in Photoshop at once. For 15 years, this went well until I changed my Mac from Intel to apple silicon. Since I Have random unresponsive camera raw and photoshop applica
I have a task to create a high contrast photo with specific numeric values on histogram. I need midtones, for example, to be within 195-230. Is there a feature in camera raw that can show me EXACT numeric values of highlights, midtones and shadows on the histogram as they fall between 0 and 255?
When converting a lut to a preset there are two options for gamut , clip and expand. I understand what clip does , but I was curious exactly what expand does and how it works. I assume it stretches luts encoded in smaller color spaces to cover prophoto's gamut. However, I've made both clipped and expanded ones and never see any difference in appearance or the histogram on raw files even with images with overexposed or highly saturated areas.
Camera Raw 14.4.1. Picture opened from bridge. GPU NVIDIA GE Force 360. 6gb dedicated memory and 16gb total memory. Running Windows 11 on Dell XPS 17. I was doing some color correction on the picture. Was in the process of using the Color Mixer and adjusting Hue and the red slider. Had previously made other adjustments. As I worked the fan picked up speed and suddenly the screen went black. I had to touch power once which seemed to unleash the residue of the picture on the screen, hit power again for a very short period and this immediately brought up the windows entry screen. Hit enter and I was right back at Camera Raw screen. I had task manager running at the time. Prior to the event, the dedicated GPU Memory was at 5.6/6.0 GB and the Shared GPU memory was almost totally available. However, at the event, there was a significant GPU 3D spike which went off the top end of the power line. Some
If you click "Enhance …" to use the Raw-Details or Super-Resolution features, Camera Raw freezes and has to be forced quit! This problem has been occurring for several days. I have the latest version of Camera Raw and Bridge, but also tried an older version and other PCs – same problem.
I added this here as cannot find the forum for Adobe DNG converter. I have a serious issue with not only adobe dng converter but also Lightroom, any time I import ARW into Adobe DNG converter and DNG into Lightroom, it completely messes with the flat profile. Why is it constantly adding in a color profile and changing the color of my photos? It is completely ruining all of my photos, especially darker ones.
