Captivate

Hi everybody, I'm working on a project that I haven't created and which was done with flash player. I've converted it with HTML5, resized it as well, and divided it into small parts (3 to 5 slides each project).Everthing is ok, apart from 2 projects in which the transition between 2 specific slides is automatic although it should be by clicking on a button.I've checked all what I could check (property of the 2 concerned slides, no action when closing selected), but I can't find why the transition is automatic..Could you please tell me at least where I should look for the answer? I'm sure there's a little bix which should not be ticked but I can't find it!Thank you for your help

We are trying to get the URL for the LMS using captivate to authenticate the approved client LMS for which we have provided the captivate courses. So the idea is to check the LMS URL at the beginning of the course with the click of a button and then approve the course to run or exit based on the parameters. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Hi, I'm having trouble with power point page numbers showed up like "#"on all slides when published even if the power point master slide setting are perfect.As of "Preview" before publish is always OK with page numbers which completely same as the PPT file.Can anyone help me out about this? Mariko

Hi, I have a module with a question pool. I have 5 random question page (9 questions in my pool). Each random page is 1 pt.My passing score is 4 ptOnce in the LMS, if I have at least 4 good question, the information send is "Completed". If I have less than 4, the module is always marked as "incomplete" instead of Failed. How can I have the Failed status? See my captuer for my setting.ThanksCatherine

Hi, I am still learning about Captivate and elearning. Is there a way I can create certain folders and name them according to different courses for example? I don't want my library to be floated with a lot of content without folders

Our team recently updated to Captivate 2019 Release 11.8.0. We need to share files with our clients for their review; normally, we publish the file as HTML5 (creating a zip file), then post the zip file for the client to download locally and run from the index.html file. However, after the change to Release 11.8.0, this method does not work if the browser is Chrome or Edge. For example, I am using Chrome Version 100.0.4896.88 (Official Build). Anybody else having this issue? How do we fix this?

Hi, as my captivate is in french, my progress indicator is in french. How can I change the text to have : Question X OF y? When I look in the style object it's in english but always show in french...I am in a pool question so need to have something automatic that show my question number.Thanks

Hi,  I have create a question pool and add all my question I already had in my captivate. Once all my question is in my question pool, all my advanced action have desapear. I used advanced action to show/hide my smartshape use as a feddback, show my Next button, and show another image in my page when you click on Submit button . All these smartshape/button/image was Showed when I clicked on Submit. Now I have convert the "caption" to Shape for my feedback but it must be the automatic action from captivate when I click submit. I can't use my advanced action in my question in the pool.If a click on "next" when I submit my answer and go to the next page and then I click on Back to my first page, here is my problem : - the feddback have desapear from my page- I can't go back to second page. the "next" seems to be deactivated in the page.  Is there a way to be able to go back and then return to the next page and navigate between the page?Is there a way to

Hi, I have create 5 new images to use as a caption background for my question. I also have an FCM document with my 5 images. But each time I upload tehm in  my captivate, I alwasys have a transparent padding around my images.How can I remove this padding to have my background covering all the caption? ThanksCatherine

How can I make a one global change to my Continue button at the bottom right of each slide? The size changed and it is wrapping the word Continue.Since it changed Continue to wrap on every slide, there must a way to change all of the continue button at one time.I am still attempting to learn Captivate and appreciate your assisance. Peg

Hello, I am using Captivate 2019 (on Windows) and recently I had to create a project from a PowerPoint presentation. I used: .ppt and .pptx.In case of .pptx I get a communicate: “Unable to import Microsoft PowrPoint presentation. The file may be damaged” – I tried on various presentations, even some simple and short ones with no success.In case of .ppt there is no HIGH FIDELITY option.I also tried to create a Responsive PowerPoint Project, because I’ve learned from Adobe Help Center, that it uses high fidelity by default, but this was with no success as well.I went through the posts on this forum, but I still don’t have a clue what might be wrong…

I am a contractor that works on classified courseware on behalf of the USG on a closed network that does not have any connection to the internet.  Our CDW-G reseller states that there are no device based licenses for commercial customers.  If this is correct Adobe subscription only products can not be used by the USG on a closed network.  IS this correct or is the an avenue for the USG or a contractor to keep from having to move courseware development to another product.

I have a project where users need to write the time in a Text Entry Box. 1. Users clic a speaker to hear the audio (tells the time.  For example: It is one o'clock.)2. Then, users type that sentence time in a TEB. 3. TEB has a variable declared (for example: writing_01 is equal to It is one o'clock)4.  Then, a submit button checks if writing_01 is equal to the given sentence (for example: It is one o'clock). Issue:When users type the word o'clock (the submit button gives an incorrect answer). However, when I removed the apostrophe the answer is correct. Problem:Users learned to write o'clock with the apostrophe. Can you suggest a proper way to handle the apostrophe? Thanks.   

Hi everyone. We are working on implementing the Cornerstone LMS in our orgnaization, and we are running into issues with the score displayed on the 'Training Details' page of the user transcript. When a user completes a Captivate-built test and fails, and then retakes the test, the score shown is the rounded up pass/fail % requirement.  So if a test requires 75%, or 75 points to pass, and the user gets a 100%/100pts, the score displays as 80%.I am using Captivate 2019; 11.5.5.553. We have contacted our implementation partner, but they keep stating it is a SCORM setting on our end. I have tested in the SCORM Cloud and it is working correctly there.Any help is greatly appreciated!   

Hi, ich wollte Captivate 2019 in Win11 installieren. Der Installer meldet das der Browser nicht aktuell ist (Blödsinn). Also habe ich die Trial nochmal runtergeladen, da kam die Meldung nicht. Nun läuft es als Trial, und ich kann nirgends die Lizenz eingeben.  Habe zwar eine CC Lizenz, aber da gehört es ja nicht dazu. Wird ohnehin von Adobe behandelt wie ein uneheliches Kind. (V 2019!!)Hat eine/r eine Idee?danke Gruß Peter

Good afternoon.I am writing on this blog because I have not been able to solve this problem, not even with the help of Adobe consultants.I have created variables with the necessary names and numbers and I have also created several advanced actions, but when I try to execute the advanced actions on a slide or element, the Scripts dropdown menu is blocked and I cannot choose any of my advanced actions. 

Hello!, I am using a template project and the true/false question slide has a feedback message, " Incorrect! Offer feedback based on your learner's choice. Be sure to reinforce desired behavior and outcomes"  How do I access this text so that I can edit or delete it?  I have checked the normal quiz settings and do not see it there. I tried state view but do not see it there. Where is it hidden...  Thank you in advance.

Can you import an Office deck without having Office installed? 

When I click on Preview to review my project, I get the attached error message. What can I do? I have tried:1. Reinstall Captivate2. Open the AdobeCaptivate.ini file (C: \ Program Files \ Adobe \ Adobe Captivate 6 x64) and add Use32BitJVMForPublish = 13. Move folder for published projects, cashe and audio to C:Even if I open up a whole new, blank project, this problem arises.What else can I do? Thank you!

I'm printing handouts ; just slides. no caption text, no slide notes, no hidden slides.And when my word document opens, nothing shows up.  Only white blank slides!I get a nice header and footer but my slides are white with nothing on them.

Hello community, I would like to imitate a software simulation experiences for my learners. I do not have access to the software (security purposes), so I will have to imitate a simulation using screenshots. I am aware that I can use click boxes to imitate the success/failure/hint messages, and that I can have the slide advance when they click on the correct area.  What else can I do to make this more realistic? I am new to Captivate, and I would appreciate your advice. Newbie to Captivate here. I'm using quiz questions. I want the user to have to try again until they get the correct answer, but when I test it, the slide always advances to the next question after one failure. I'm using customized feedback, and my questions were imported via CSV. SLIDE: QUIZ PANEL: QUIZ Preferences:What do I have wrong? Thanks for any help anyone can provide! 

I'm missing the tool bar with Slides, Themes, Fluid Box, Text, Shapes, Objects, Interactions,Midia, Interactive Video , Record, Save, Preview Publish and Community at the top whenever I open a project or create a new project.
