I think I have come across a bug in the software and wonder if anyone else has and whether you know of a solution? Thank you.If you create from new, a simple graded multiple choice question in Captivate, with just 1 correct answer and run it in Safari 15, then the radio buttons for the options are not marking as selected when they are selected.This is in the following environment:MacOS Big Sur Version 11.6Safari version 15.0 (16612.1.29.41.4, 16612)On a MacBook ProThanks. Any ideas?

Hi,  I am receiving a pop-p reading 0 Items Imported when trying to import text and closed captions after translating.  I am certain that the file is not being edited in between export/import, and that nothing in the actual exported file is being changed except the table for updated text (I am manually copying/pasting myself).   I have tried opening and closing Captivate and the word file...  Are there any other tips?

I have a large Captivate file, 193 slides, 72 MB when published.  I am using Captivate 7 on Windows at a client site, but I also have Captivate 7 and 8 on my own Mac.At 72MB the program often fails during download.  I don't know if this will be better in an LMS, but I think I need to manage the size to be on the safe side.I know I can link projects, but the problem is that I have a short quiz, and a user-defined variable to track whether the user has completed the quiz. There are three scenarios, based on the user's job.  They only need to complete one scenario, plus the quiz, for lesson completion, but they can go back and view the other scenarios as well.  If they choose a second scenario they skip the quiz and go directly to the lesson summary, where they can choose another scenario or exit the lesson.I have not had the need to split lessons previously, and from what I can see, i would have to manage passing the variables on my own.  Has anyone done this, an

Hello, I'm creating exercise for users to learn step by step process in with some online platforms. One step is creation of clog-in credentials. I would like to have entry box for user password which will simulate Password field for loging-in. User must enter her/his password with folowing Conditions as input/entry minimaly 8 characters longANDminimaly one capital letterANDminimaly one special characterANDminimaly one number.When thay create their password "Next" button is Enabled. Is there any way to make such option with text boxes, advanced actions, variables...? Thanks.

I'm a System Administrator of our company's LMS. First some background:We received word that some other authoring tools that are used in our LMS will be unviewable in IE as of July 1, 2022 and we are trying to come up with a plan to address this. I'm wondering if our Captivate modules will also be unviewable. Our default browser is IE due to some legacy applications, but I'm also finding out what their timeline for change out from IE to Chrome/Edge is. We already addressed the obvious flash issues, but if it worked in IE or Chrome it wasn't touched. So I'm also trying to triage our over 4000 modules to determine if any need to be updated now versus later. I'm not finding any documentation for some questions I have.  How long will Adobe Captivate built eLearning modules be viewable in Internet Explorer? Did Adobe Captivate have versions that published to Flash/HTML5 or HTML5/Flash?What were the versions or what was timeframe?Is there a way to tell what version of Cap

HI AllComplete noob here having just completed the Virtual training from Adobe 🙂I am currently creatinga quiz using multiple Question Pools but i am seeing duplicate questions from a same pool.Scenario I have a pool of 16 matching questions I set up my quiz to have 6 randomised slidesBut i can get 4 uniques and get one uplicated to two slides..Is this a normal thing??if so then does this not make Question Pools and Randomising Questions pointless as someone could in theory get the same quest 6 times!Any direction would be great 🙂Gary

Hi,  I have built a lesson with custom pretest which have questions covering 2 lesson and as they complete 10 question  if they score less that 70 they get the lesson material to study with maximum incorrect response . My problem is the page that displays the score and lesson buttons. If a learner refreshes or session times out . Then SCREEN displays totalscore = 0 and they now have to complete both lessons. I am not sure how to store/stick the value. I am using two user variable to identify the lesson and system variable to display score. Please help.

Good morning, I want to use a "Dropdown" learning interaction but I have seen that it is not possible to increase the font size to more than 14 points (attached screenshot). Does anyone know if modifying the code of some .css or .js file in possible?Thank you very much in advance

I'm working on creating a quiz.  Is there a way to update the format (i.e. font, coloring, etc) for all slides at once or do I have to make the changes on each individual slide?Secondly, there is a Review Area on the quiz with language "You must answer the question before continuing."  Can this be changed to allow users to move freely through the exam?

I have several captivate presentations.  What I want to do is to put a topic list at the end of each presentation.  So when they are done, if they want to revisit a topic they click on a button and it jumps them back to that slide.  This is straight forward.   But on each slide I want a button that takes them back to the topic list at the end of the presentation, so that they do not have to go through the entire presentation again.  Again, I know how to do this, but what I do not know how to do, is how can I make the button on each slide not to show up until the last slide of the presentation has been seen.  What I don't want to do is have the back to topic slide present the first time they go through it so that they cannot skip sections or the entire presentation.  Is this possible? So basically once they have viewed the presentation completely, they have the ability to jump back and forth from the topic list page to anywhere in the presentation

Gentlefolk,I am creating a training project with a goal of having the content viewable with a quiz for those users who need credit for the course, and the same content viewable without a quiz for those who don't need credit. The user would self-select to take the quiz or not take the quiz and see only the content. Playing with cpQuizInfoAttempts will be useful for those who want to take the quiz again upon first-attempt failure. But I don't know the system variable that would control the ability to turn off the reporting function. I assume there is one.... can a project default to report to the LMS but have a variable that will turn OFF that function for those who just want to take the test? Hi!I have a quite annoying issue concerning user variables and conditional advanced actions.I want to show/hide an object (IB_Teamdynamik). I use a variable to track the status shown/hidden (IB_Teamdynamik). When I click on "Save advanced action", the variables are simply kicked out of the advanced action. I use the VERY same advanced actions with other objects where it works perfectly fine - deleting preferences didn't change anything.Happy to hear from the pros out there what I am doing wrong.Thank youall the best- Reinhard

I created a video demo, saved it as CPVC. I opened a new Captivate (CPTX) and inserted the CPVC video (insert-->CPVC slide-->inserted CPVC thatI created). It will play in Captivate but when I preview in SCORM cloud the video is blank, the remaining slides will present. It's a bit frustrating. 

I am frustrated with Adobe as yesterday two of their techs remoted in and "fixed" my problem with CS6.Today I find I have a problem with Captivate which gives me a bizarre error and tells me to "download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager - which gives a 404 error.Aside from my frustration with Adobe what can I do about this please?ThanksDave

HiI'm new to Captivate 2019 and am trying to record a software simulation slide, but am unable to change the recording area to fir my window. For some reason, the options set custom capture area just isnt available. Please help. Vivek

I have captivate file and I want to display assests in sync with the audio file. I have this all set up on the timeline but when I run the preview none of the assets that are timed to come in at certian intervals are not showing. When I use the play preview at the bottom of the time line it works perfectly but when I export it or preview it, they don't display.  Any one any advice or suggestions? Thanks in advance, Fergal

Good day everyone, Hoping you will be abblet to assist.I have a simple action that works in the HTML testing but not on Scorm cloud testing or the LMS.Learner clicks button, pdf opens in new window and downloads.On the LMS, the project jumps back to the start. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here at the most basic level, but after a couple hours of searching I can't seem to find an answer.We're making a lot of simple four-question, MC quizzes that are interspersed within other content in our learning modules.  I -don't- want to give the students the correct/incorrect/rationale text during the quiz, only after if they choose to go back and Review upon completion.Is this possible?  I can't sort it out, I'm only able to make the 'why the correct answer is correct' text appear in-quiz, not in-review.Thanks!
