I have an Adobe Animate(2020) HTML5 project that I am exporting to an OAM file, and importing it into Captivate (2019) in order to utilise the SCORM publishing within Captivate.The processing I and following is:Start with a blank Captivate project, at the correct sizeLoad the "HTML5 Animation" dropping in the OAM file that fills the screenThen set the Publish settings for SCORM 1.2 output and Publish.The problem is when I change the Animate project, re-publish the OAM with the update, then replace the old OAM with the new version (of the same name), publishing the Captivate project seems to use the old versions of the files contained in the OAM rather than the new version, as though they are cached somewhere an not being refreshed with new data files.I've tried clearing the cache, but that doesn't make any difference.The only way round the problem seems to be start a new blank project and start again with the updated OAM, this is just rediculous, and wouldn't be workable if I needed to

I developed a cours ein Adobe Captivate 2019. The client tested it in their LMS using Chrome, Edge, and IE 11. It reports back the completion and score when it runs in Edge and Chrome, but not in IE 11. Unfortunately IE 11 is their preferred/default broswer, so it is important it function properly in that browser. Anyone run into this or know of a fix?

Hi all, I have a problem with advanced actions in .cptx files created from .cptl (template) file. I have a project template (.cptl) file, which has some slides, advanced actions and variables defined, so that I don't need to create them every time I create a new project. Two kinds of problems occur when I create a new .cptx file from the template (File > New Project > Project from Template): 1. Even though I remove extra slides, advanced actions & variables used on those slide still "haunt" my advanced actions list, and I can't remove them. If I try to remove them, Captivate says they are in use. When I click "Usage", I see this:So, the action is used on some "Project template" slide - the corresponding slide has been removed from the actual project. What is this? I have added a highlight box to my slide, and want to Fill the outer area. That option is not showing up in the Properties for the Highlight box. I click Objects, Highlight Box. It adds a blue box with 20% Opacity. I no longer have the ability to edit the Fill color, Stroke color and wideth, and no option to Fill Outer Area. And it makes no different which Style I select.  This is in Captivate 2019. 

I'm sure this is some setting that I've built incorrectly, but in my published video I see a small black loading square at every Video Demo slide break (see attached). Does anyone know how to get rid of these? Thanks! 

Hello,  I am making an interactive video and want to have hidden hotspots throughout the video for the user to find. Similiar to a hazard preception test. Would anyone have any advice on how to do this?  Thanks

I am working with a multi-state slide in Captivate. I am able to go to the second state but am unable to determine how to go to the third and fourth states. I am enclosing the screenshots for the state view and normal view, as well as the Advanced Action to show the programming I used. Thank you all so much. 

I am trying to change the order of the master slides in the master view, but can only move the first slide down by one. All the other slides seem to be locked in place. I can drag the slides to a different spot, but when I try to drop them at the selected location, they jump back to the original location. Is there a trick on how I can achieve this? I can change the order of any slides in the filmstrip view without a problem. I am using Captivate 2019, 11.0.1.266, and my project is responsive using fluid boxes.Thanks for your helpMartin

Hi TeamI have created a simple eLearning course with next and back buttons, which are images as button, that I imported from my storyboard power point. On some slides the learner is suppose to go through all the interaction on the slide and upon the last interaction the next button appears. However, on preview when I click anywhere else on the slide, the project still moves forward skiping all the interaction.How do I stop this?What should my setting be On enter, On exit on the slide? AndWhen the next button is selected then what should be the setting on the Next button's Action tab? So far I have tried using a click box but I don't find that to be a sturdy solution. Please help.

HiSince moving to Captivate 2017 we have started getting this message come up when a learner selects a link to a pdf (that is either on our website or in our online knowledge repository. I have checked using IE11 and Chrome - made sure the pop up blocker is off - but still get this warning. I'm certain the popup blocker is off because our LMS uses popups and I wouldn't be able to see the module at all if they were still on The pdf tab opens ok but this message is making our learners a little unsettled. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know if there is a setting in Captivate that needs to be ticked/unticked?

Hello! I am hoping that you could help me out.  My issue is my left side a b c boxes overla the feedback boxes after the learner clicks submit.  The feedback for incorrect and correct boxes are the ones from the quiz options nothing added except for the text inside those boxes.  Here is a image of what happens after user clicks submit.  I have also checked the master and send items back and to the front as a fix but that has not worked either.  Here is a image of what my quiz section looks like Please help! 

Hi, I am taking the Adobe captivate course next week and I am working throught the support videos in preparation for that. However I have come to a point where the presenter (Dr. Pooja Jaisingh) is referencing materials (pngs, colour pallette images etc) that I do not have access to. I have scoured the Certified Professional learning center and the course and can find no mention of a download link to use. Any help or pointers in the right direction as to where I can find the additional materials to accompany the videos would be gratefully recieved!  Many thanks.

Hi, for slides with lots of text elements using the Captivate Text Caption elemet, my Captivate 2019/OSX was getting quite bogged down. Some slide may have a dozen or more separate text elements. I need to keep the text elements as text so they can be translated to another language later on down the line for other customers. I was going to use Adobe Illustrator to create all the unique text items, import the SVG files into the Captivate library, then place them on the slide. Then later on, another Captivate person would open that Captivate file, click on the desired text piece, check Edit with Adobe Illustrator, and Edit SVG to edit it to read whatever they wanted.  There are a few ways to get an SVG file from an Illustrator file. There is Save As, Export for Screens, Export As, and Save for Web (Legacy), and all have some user selectable settings in addition to the default that pops up. Is there a guide out there so I can make an informend choice as to how to make my SVG files?

I'm creating 360 training courses in Captivate 2019 and loading the published files to my LMS. The 360 view and hot spots work fine when accessing the courses from a PC. However, I'd like to give my students get the full immersed experience using a VR headset. Can I access a published project (including hot spots) from my LMS and use a VR headset one its launched and if so, which Headsets are supported?

I have created a course with yes and no buttons and submit. Yes is set at 100 points and no and submit not set to report. For some reason the course is not marking as complete at all, even if yes is clicked - it is still saying in progress/incomplete. Basically I want the course to mark as completed if Yes is clicked and in progress/incomplete if no is clicked. How can I get this to happen? My settings are attached.

Hi! While publishing a course to Client's LMS (Moodle) we ran into a problem that different SVG icons weren't showing up in SCORMs (instead they were getting downloaded). We noticed on the Client's side such a http header - "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="169161.svg".It occured that the web server isn't supporting SVGs. How common is it? Do you, based on your experience with Captivate, resign from using SVGs in your Captivate projects to avoid such problems?Is there a way to replace all SVGs in the project with PNG files in a quick and efficient way?

After installing Windows 10 21H1 update, I am unable to launch Captivate 2019.  The launch window appears briefly, then disappears.

Hey there Captivate Community,  i am really in need of some advice.Basically i have imported a very big powerpoint file from my client into a responsive captivate file.All i want to do, is to rebuild the interactive buttons from the original powerpoint file. So i started setting up buttons and making them just jump ahead to the according chapter. My issue now is that when i scale down the resolution, and preview the file on a smaller screensize, the buttons i have set up scale down inappropriatetly, everything shifts and everything gets unaligned Is there a way to fix this behavior?I have added two pictures to showcase my issue better PS:There are zero fluid boxes used.I understand that importing power point files isnt advised.I understand that i should preferrably fully rebuild the whole presentation from the ground up with fluid boxes and what not.

Hello, I am having the worst problem with the Captivate 2019 Install. I have never had an issue in the past. I believe the issue is the way Captivate is intalling on my machine as there appears to be a conflict with MS One-Drive, which is where the install "lives". Additionally, Assets aren't loading and videos aren't loading properly. I would love any help or suggestions. Thanks so much!

Can anyone help? I need to track (report to LMS) users that answer a final question and submit 'no'. It is the only question in the deck. Do I need to do it as a quiz or will interactive buttons work? What do I need to add so it reports back to LMS? thanks

I have created a training course with a yes or no acknowledgment slide at the end (set up like a quiz). Basically the user will progress through all the slides and then click either 'yes' or 'no', then 'submit', at the end to say they comply with the regulations within. If they click 'yes' I need the LMS to report as 'complete' and if they click 'no' I need it to report as 'in progress'. Please can someone tell me what preferences within quiz reporting or other back end areas to tick so this works correctly. It is difficult for me to test as I do not have access to the LMS data so currently a bit of a stab in the dark. Thank you

How can T return my english license number and get one for the german version???

I have a video hosted on Vimeo. The 'Where can this be embedded?' setting is set to 'specific domain' or our domain.  When I try to embed the video into Captivate I get the following error: 'Sorry, Because of privacy settings this video cannot be played here' I understand that when on my computer I am not on my domain and I get the error. When I upload the published Captivate file to the correct domain I get the following error for the embedded Vimeo file: '404 | Not Found'. The URL is correct. Do I really have to make my video available to be embedded to any domain? That seems like a big security compromise. Is there any work around that anyone has found? My version of Adobe Captivate is 19 build 11.5.5.678. Thank you in advance.
