Hello,Has anyone ever tried to create a glossary in another language like Japanese.I am not using the Japanese CP version unfortunately...Issues:A. The search field shows "ABC" which doesn´t work in Japanese.B. Japanese text is shown but only in the description box. If we enter a latin character at the start of the left column it is also shown but that of course defeats the purpose. Is there any alternative to the glossary widget which I personally find to be a bit on the old side...?Thanks a lot!

Hello! I was wondering if there was anyway to trigger audio for a drag source only when you click on it. For example, there is an image of a dog when you press it the audio plays “dog”, then you proceed drag it to the drop target. I know there is a way to add audio after the drag source has successfully dropped to the target. I’ve been able to get audio to appear when you click the drag source by putting audio in the properties tab. However this also causes audio to go off as soon as the slide image appears. I also tried placing a button under the drag source, but the button doesn't play if its underneath the drag source. I would appreciate any guidance at all, I’m trying to help a team member!

Hi,Potentially an easy question but I am dumb.I have made a quiz slide with audio track and cc.Now I need to that track move into another slide type. How do I move the pair so that the synch stays intact.Thanks a lot!

I want to produce an interactive video to perform a specific task. It must be video in video, the main viewing screen being a wide-angle shot the small in video a close-up. They must run in sync and be able to be switched if wanted by the viewer so they can view the closeup on the main screen and wide-angle on the small in video screen and still remain in sync. I use Premiere Pro and wondered what else I need?…. Captivate?

If you're having problems with Captivate displaying your video file, one reason could be your video's file name. After several hours of trial and error, I've discovered that including a # or % sign in your video file names will cause them to appear invisible, or simply not play, in Captivate. However, symbols such as @$^&*()~`; are all fair game. Looks like my video Topic #1 will now become Topic 1. Hopefully this post can help prevent someone else from a multi hour long search for a fix. 

I have Captivate CP2019 11.5.1.499.   I'm trying to create a vertical scroll effect on a slide using groups with fly-in/out animations.  For example, I have group 1 that contains text and an image, plus a down arrow icon.  Group 2 contains a different set of text and a different image, plus an up arrow icon.    I can get the effect to work when going from group 1 to group 2 (click the down arrow), but when I try to go from group 2 back to group 1 (click the up arrow), group 2 appears as expected, but group 1 doesn't show up at all.   I'm happy to share my .cptx file if anyone has any ideas how to fix.

While I am trying to upload a SCORM package in Litmos, it is giving me a HTTP error and also another error when processing. Is this error related to any Captivate settings issue? Can anybody help? 

What is the best way to get the Glossary widget to show/hide in Captivate.I am using Captivate 8.Thanks!Arwen

We have created a Captivate training where a video is inserted as one of the slides. We would like to ensure that the learner watches the entire video without fast-forwarding. Is there a way to disable the scroll bar or fast forward when you insert a video? Or is there another way to do this?I am using Captivate 2019.Thank you

I'm kinda stuck on why my slide-audio doesn't play on one of my slides. It works fine in all other slides and I am not sure what I'm missing. The audio is already in the video so I did not add an additional audio file.If I watch the slide in captivate itself, it works perfectly fine but if I publish it HTML5 in this slide the audio is missing and on the next one it is there again. Has anybody has had the same problem? 

I have created a quiz with 10 questions (4 multiple choice, 3 true/false, 2 fill in the blank, and 1 sequence) and everything works properly.But when I go to preview the quiz slides, I answer 3 questions, but the slide just sits there. So it'll give me the "correct" message and when I click on the page or press Y, it will not go to the next slide even though I have it set up to do so.If I close out and preview the project again but from the slide after the one I got stuck on, it will work for another 3 slides and then gets stuck again.I'm not exactly sure what is causing this and how to fix it.Any help is appreciated.

My client wants me to replace one font for another in the entire program...about 100 slides. This will be quite time-consuming unless I can find a global command. I changed the defaults, but that didn't change anything already in the file. HELP! Thanks. (I'm using Captivate 2017.)

Dear all,I hav created this animation (cptx files) into which I inserted (Options - Add Audio) sound tracks. There is one sound files attached to each "slide". All goes well, even when I preview the project. The trouble starts when I publish the file as a video as the sound track becomes messy: it is as if I was listening to an old damaged vynil record, with scratched and the needle jumping grooves. Can someone please advise on how to prevent this?ThanksPascal

I have a drag and drop interaction where I need to find out which part (x-/y-coordinates) of the drag object hits the drop target while moving the drag object. In the attached video you can see what I need to do:While moving the drag object only when the left blue point of the drag object is over the drop target (right blue point) a red frame is shown. When another part of the drag object is over the drop target the red frame is not visible. So I can't use the InBuilt state "DragOver". After Mouse relase I have to check again the x-/y-cordinates of  the drag object. Is the drag object in the right position (red frame visible) the solution is correct. Is the drag object not in the right position (red frame not visible) the solution is wrong.Hope the JS experts can help me.

Hi, I have recently been trying to make a VR 360 role-playing game with Captivate, I have already set the preloader to 100 percents, but while playing the slides, it still keeps on loading and freezing in between slides. Is there a way to make sure everything including normal pictures, 360 pictures and sound are all preloaded before starting slides?   It's going to seriously damage the whole experience when there are freezes and loading in between slides.Any help and suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks!    

Hey all,I just tried to use a button with an added state (the text turns green when chapter is done). When I change the position of that button it will jump around whenever I go over it with the mouse cursor. The problem is that I can not change the position for the other states of the button but it is clearly saved independently. Looks like a bug to me. So I actually can not press the button at all anymore.Update:This only happens in a responsive projectThis problem affects every smartshape turned into a button, not just the ones with an added state.Message was edited by: Nicolas Reibnitz

I started a responsive project, the first panel has 4 smart shapes, used as buttons, that reveal different states on the panel.  There is also a button on the first page to advance the project to the second panel, but whenever I try to activate it (when previewing or after publishing the project) the button moves to the center of panel.  Continuing to attempt to activate the button causes it to jump around between the center of the page and the location I set it to.  Any ideas why this may be happening?

I want the user to enter their response in the text entry box (for an open-ended question) and till then the submit button to be hidden/disabled. The submit would be shown only when the TEB has some inputs. I am struck with this. I tried to drag the TEB submit button off the frame and created a new button as submit button and worked with advanced actions but nothing worked. Is there any workaround for this? To give a simple example. I need the user to enter their names in TEB in the first slide which I could use in the rest of the slide with the help of variables. But the submit button should appear only after the user enters any input. We can use auto-submit option only if the number of characters are defined, but we can't limit the number of characters as it is a name.Any workaround please?
