HiI have a menu and a X button for closing the menu that will show when clicking the menu button.The menu and x botton are placed on the second slide and set to show for rest of project.On the third slide the x button is positioned over the menu as I like. Hello! I am very, very new to Captivate.  I am trying to create learning game.  Each area of the game will have a different quiz that I want to have different result pages.  The idea is that the answers for the quiz in an area will take the player to a specific exile (if incorrect) for that area.  In both places, the player would need to get 8/10 correct.  For example, in area A, the player answers fill in the blanks, but only got 6/10 correct - sent to island exile.  The player can then retry area A or go to the hint section for help.  In Area B, multiple choice, but only gets 5/10 correct, sent to lake exile. Is this even possible?  Would it be better to have multiple projects that are linked?  I saw where you can name your quiz in the preferences "in case you have more than one in your project," but do not know how to do this.  I know very little about SCORM (?).  This is for a class, and think I am may too ambitious right

I have inherited Captivate courses that have several modules per course in separate Captivate (.cptx) files. I would like to copy all of the filmstrips into one course to publish to 1 SCORM object without sacrificing the design and programming from each slide on the timeline. Is this possible? Thanks in advance,Andrew

hi to all,i'm trying to link 7 modules (cptx) of a course using scorm packager but when I open it appears a strange window without text but only three blank buttons. Is there the possibility to have a working version of this application please? I am on macos Catalina 10.15.7 

I am working in Captivate 2019 and am having issues with my slides "jumping" from one to another even where there is "No Transition" selected in the properties panel for the slide when I preview in HTML5. Example:I have a photo and some SVG graphics as a background for slide-01 that remain int he same position at the beginning of slide-02. After I click on the button to advance to slide-02 there is a slight "jump" where everything dissapears for a split second then looks as if it reloads to slide-02. Even though none of the graphics or background image change location or size and I have the slide animations for slide-02 set to "No Trantision". They are merely set to display for the "rest of the slide" on slide-01 one slide and picking right back up in the same place at the beginning of slide-02. How can I correct this?

What is the best way to capture voice content from SME's?  I have been provided a ppt. deck that I am transfering to e-learning using captivate.  I need SME to provide me with audio transcript, or audio file.  Requesting best approach. 

I've seen multiple videos online for an Advanced Answer option on the Properties/Answer/Options panel but I do not see this checkbox in Captivate 11 or 11.5 (CP2019). Has it been removed? (Screenshot shows an answer in a multiple choice question). Thanks everyone.

I have a multiple choice question, A and B are correct, C is not.    How do I give custom feedback if they pick A vs B vs C.  I want a custom feedback for each answer. I know how to do this with only one answer correct using states, but the option to change states for each button is taken away.   I do not see the options panel any more.   I am on captivate 11.5.5.676.

I would like to remove the description field all together, because when I make the font on my Title large enough, the decsription "box" covers up part of my text (see the Y and P below). Is there a way to alter these boxes or remove the description field altogether so this doesn't happen? 

Just looking at getting some formal training for captivate and saw this virtual training and certification offered by Adobe, however I'm a novice and wondered if this virtual training was appropriate for a novice? or do I need to dabble with captivate for a year or so first before hand and look at some other intro courses/tutorials? Appreciate any advise or other recommendations. I'm a student and on a bit of a budget, thanks in advance.

Publish to exe fails in Captivate. Read the workaround and our recommendation. In Adobe Captivate, if you publish your project as an executable, the exe doesn’t run. But when you click the exe file, you see an icon related to Flash.  This happens because both Flash and Flash Player have been deprecated. For more information, see this blog. Workaround Publish your project as MP4. But in an MP4 output, you may lose all interactions. If you only want to see the output without any interactions, then we recommend publishing to MP4. 

I have made some changes to a project in captivate and when I try to save the changes I click SAVE but the slide only stops at 50% and will not finish saving. I need to update a training in iLearn. What is preventing the project from saving? I even shut down the computer and started it again last night and this morning. The screen will sit there like this (see below) for about 5 minutes and then just disappear without fully saving the changes. Here is what the screen does every time: 

Hi,I have added a an event video to my project, and I would like that when the user starts the project that the video start automatically but when he goes further with project and goes back to the slide where the video is that the video doesn't start automatically and let the use start it himself.Could you help me please ? Thanks ,Karim

Hi,I am trying to create a drag and drop quiz in which each question is a drag and drop interaction with only one answer. What i would like is when the answer is rejected, they get the failure display and then move to the next slide which gives them the next drag and drop interaction question.I know how to get it to reject by “not accepting” all drag sources and the “incorrect” drag choice goes back to where it started and I get the “failure prompt”, but i don’t see that there is a way to then send the user to the next slide after the failure prompt.I’m trying to do all this with out the submit button in order to get instant feedback and move on to the next slide.Any insight would be great!

Hi all,I am trying to create tool tips for a custom navigation bar.(hover cursor over icon for 3 sec,, explanation appears in window above the key for as long as cursor is there or for about 4 seconds).Of course, the function/states of the button can not impacted by that.E.g. clickbox over the button etc. won´t work.Using the rollover state of the icon is not good as it there is no delay and learners will know what the icon means after a while and get annoyed by redundant tool tips.Thanks for any advice!

I'm creating some quiz questions for an eLearning project and can only seem to create them in the format shown in the first image below.  Ideally I'd like each stage of the process to be surrounded by its own box more like the second image so they are more separate but can't find an option to do this.   Is it possible to do this?  If so, how do I do it?    

Good evening I finished  a quiz adobecaptivateBut I added in all its slides the close button is a shape with an image inside, but adding the close button made the transition between quiz slides impossible, how can I add that button without affecting the effectiveness of the quizThanks

Dear allI have a strange kind of problem.I publish my interactive Video with Back and next Buttons.The timing where the video stops varies all the time. If I start the video I notice that the timing where it should stop is not correct. But if I press the back button and it starts one step behind and plays through the same section the timing is correct. Does anybody know why I have two different timings of the stop of the video? I notice it because I have voice in it and it sometimes stops in the middle of the sentence and then after going back to the last step and playing it again it is all correct. I am really disappointed and do not know what to change anymore. Thanks for your help

When I import Japanese text into my Captivate project, I can't set it to Arial. It has to be MS Gothic. Is there any solution to this? I checked the Adobe fonts, but there is no Arial listed.

I copied this from the Google fonts page and placed it in the main index file here: Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2019 x64\HTML<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Noto+Sans+SC:wght@400;700&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">When I publish, in the href, the @ is missing in the published index, along with the text after:<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Noto+Sans+SC:wght" rel="stylesheet">Does anyone know why Captivate is doing this and a way to include the @ and text afterward? I tried \@ and @@. Nothing seems to work.

Another problem. I'm creating a course that have quizs that has been broken into 10 parts and 1 result slide. some part of the course continue to slide but other part of the course skip the quiz slide. I'm looks at the course course even in bracnching view everything seems to line up but don't know why one part jup to quiz while others skipped the quiz slide. Help. 

Hi There,I'm on day 2 of my Captivate trial and I'm having an issue with fluid boxes. When I select the fluid box (and the box turns blue) it doesn't have the little blue tab at the top for me to edit it or look at the properties. The only thing I can edit is the text in the fluid box. I'm sure this is an easy fix, please help!

I'm a brand new student using Captivate for my very first project.Somehow I accidentally compressed the timeline. Instead of 1 second by 1 second, it is showing by whole minutes. How can I change it back?   

Hi, We are making interactive software simulation of our product which uses F keys a lot; for example, F3, F7, F8, F9 are used often. But when we play the interactive html video in a browser, the F keys cannot work. For example, when I press F3 designed as a step in the video, the browser will intercept it and trigger the search in the browser, so we cannot proceed with the interactive videos.   Is there a way to work around this problem?
