Captivate

We have created a few LMS modules and using them the ACTO App (LMS). We seem be experience two small issues:Audio keeps playing when App is minimisedThe slides have an audio track playing but when the user minimises the App or navigate to another tab on a browsers, the audio and the slide continues to play. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Links to PDFWe have also added several PDFs to the LMS modules. These PDF documents open in a new window on a browser, but when using the ACTO app. They open in the same window. So, users need to relaunch the module. Any help with these two issues would be greatly apprecaited.Kind Regards

I have a series of 30 slides. On each slide, I want to have the same interaction and groups: Click a button to show/hide a group. In that group, click button to show/hide another group.The makeup of the groups – ie. Background images and text caption format/layout/etc. remains constant, but within each of the above groups, the content of the images and text captions will change from slide to slide to make them relevant to the individual slide content in which they appear.When I copy or duplicate the groups to use them in additional slides, the group/object names are no longer valid, so of course, the Advanced Actions to show/hide the groups do not function in the new locations.It took quite a while to create the original scripts and the object names they reference. What approach should I be taking to avoid having to recreate all of these each slide? I tried Shared Actions but that still requires me to select a group/object name from a list of all names in the project. The object names

Hi!I'm trying to put a captivate project published in HTML on a sharepoint site, but unfortunately all the .js and some of the .css are in an unreadable compressed format when i publish it, therefore i cannot look for the links to replace to the sharepoint folder's URL.Is there a way to export a project without any compression, and or even into one folder? Publishing creates multiple subfolders for the different assets which unfortunately I'm unable to upload at once (no folder upload is allowed).The basic idea is to put the package on sharepoint where javascript is enabled, then put an iframe or a content editor where i can reference to the starting html.Any help would be much appreaciated!Thank you.Edited: I just realised if i could publish the project directly to sharepoint that would solve it, is that possible anyhow?

Hi there,I'm seeing in the past there was a "print screen" widget but I'm not seeing that as an option in Captivate 2019.  Are there any solutions for a simple print screen button to add to a slide?   Thanks,Dale

I work with Captivate 2017 and have created a quiz there. Some question slides contain a cloze.The number of attempts per question is 3, the answers are selected via a drop-down menu. The project is output in HTML5. If somebody edits the question and selects a gap incorrectly, he can try again. This also works at first.Now the problem: When selecting an answer option again, the drop-down menu is optically overlaid by the previous one. It also seems to be not due to the used browser.The error does not affect the function but is purely optical.Maybe the attached picture helps to clarify my problem.Does anyone have an idea? 🙂

Does anyone have any issues using Captivate 2019 Assets? Specifically the project templates or slides? They seem to corrupt often, even when I am saving to my C drive. Once I publish it, they seem to corrupt. Are the slides buggy? It drives me absolutely nuts! 

Hi, We are having an issue where imported videos into Captivate that are paused (using the inbuilt video toolbar) then just continue on automatically after a few minutes. There doesn't seem to be any setting that adjust this.  Is this built in behaviour or can it be paused for as long as the user wants it paused, rather than just starting again by itself? Thanks in advance!

We observed an effect that in the generated html5-output the resources are not reset after a 360 ° video, but seem to continue to occupy some of the GPU and CPU resources and, depending on the computer, the second or third video no longer plays properly. If we separate the projects - i.e. only one video at one Captivate project - and call them up one after the other, this effect is gone.Did someone already encountered something similar and found a solution to keep several 360° Videos in ONE Project?Perhaps this is a more general phenomenon that has little or nothing to do with Captivate. So all helpful hints are welcome ...

I'm able to pull a name and student ID from our LMS but can I pull an employee ID?

I am new to Captivate.  I need to develop training using text-to-speech in English and in French (Canadian).  There is only Chloe's voice in French.  I've added the Microsoft Francais (Canada) Language pack in my settings.  But even though I have rebooted the computer and restarted Captivate, I don't have access to Microsoft Claude and Caroline's voices in Captivate.  What else fo I need to do to be able to view them in the droplist of voices available together with the 7 default Captivate voice and microsoft Zira^

Hi There, I have enabled (Replay and Play/Pause) buttons as displayed for rest of project and placed objects on top. When I don't need these buttons from Knowledge Check slides, I have added advanced action to hide both of buttons on entering the slide. But this is not at all hiding these buttons. Can someone help?

Hello Everyone! I am Caleb and I am using Captivate to create fun and intense Online Escape Rooms for Teambuilding!  I came across a simple but weird problem as I was making text entry box passcodes for the Escape Room game and I am encountering this problem with some of the Success and Failure Captions. Where they sometimes do not disappear at all, even when I choose to hide them both in output and in the slide itself. These success/failure captions are supposed to only show after the player has tried to enter a password in the text entry box and click enter. However, it consistently shows itself, even if there is no interaction with the entry box nor input of any answers at all. Images are attached to help understand! Please do help me as it is the final thing stopping me from publishing 😞 Thank you so much in advance!   Would you happen to know the fix for this? (Below are attached pictures!)

So I have a group with about 50 buttons. I copied the group from another project to be used in the one I am working on.When I try to position the group of buttons the "RollOver, Down and so on" states dont change.When I take a look on the states their is a lockpad on them.How to fix this? BrRobert

One Drive keeps offering to rename my Captivate files because they have 'invalid names'.  This *appears* to be because they have a space in front of them. Trouble is of course that once they're renamed Captivate doesn't recognise them any more. (I'm new to Captivate, I have a stand alone copy on my Wondows 10 PC and that backs up automatically to OneDrive)

I am using Adobe Captivate 11.5.4.613 on Mac OS 10.5.1 and it was working OK but suddently after making minor changes to the publishing settings, I am unable to a) preview in the browser and b) publish anything that works. I either get a spinning ball in the browser window or I get the -50 error 'The application can't be opened.' I am trying to preview/publish in HTML5.  I have tried:resetting the default publish settings but it doesn't change anything.restarting the software.restarting the computer.Chrome, Safari, and Brave browsers.  I have no idea what to do next. I've spent many hours and days on this project (30 pages worth) and I'm so frustrated! Help? 

Hello, I am working with Adobe Captivate 9 on Windows 7. Well, I have created a push button, if I push the button Outlook will open automatically with a receiving address and subject heading which I selected before, like this:  "mail@address.com?subject=Feedback". This is working well.Now I want to create a variable inside my subject heading like mail@address.com?Feedback + variableI think I need to develop a JavaScript to do this. Can anybody help me. I have no idea from JavaScript.Thank You!

I develop web-based training.  I use Captivate to produce question slides within a succession of .htm pages created in Dreamweaver.  Long story short, I inhereted old .cp files and had to upgrade to .cptx.  When reviewing the course it goes through one of the quizzes and stops.  How do I make sure the next .htm page in succession is accessed after each quiz?

How to create a custom per slide progress bar with scrubbing control. I have seen it in a E-learning module recently. We very helpful.  Can anyone please help. Ive checked a few youtube videos and created this. But I cannot create scrub control.

Is there any way using Captivate 7 to tell a SCORM 1.2  or SCORM 20004 course to send the bookmark data to the LMS on every slide in the course until you get to the quiz, and then only send the resume information at the end of the quiz, so that the quiz does not get bogged down with network traffice?The problem that I am running into is that I have a course where the first 15 slides are informational and are not part of the quiz.  This is then followed by 25 Random quiz slides which they must get at least 70% correct to pass.  Slides 1 and 2 are text and images only.  Slides 3 through 12 use the Web Object Interface (the one that comes standard with Adobe Captivate 7).  These web object interfaces each are used to display videos.  Each video is between 3 and 10 minuts long.  All together it takes the students almost an hour to get past the video to slide 13.  Slide 13 does an AJAX call (using Javascript) back to our company servers so that we kno

I have some long Interactive videos and I would like my audience to be able to skip through them if they want but there are no playback controls like the Event videos. I know there are playback controls for the whole project but these aren't really usable for skipping through an Interactive vdieos (and it's confusing for users who aren't used to Captivate). I also know that I could add bookmarks to jump to certain points in the video but that doesn't quite work for what I want.
