Captivate

Hi Community,AC 11.5.1.499 I notice that when inserting images as rollover images, they lose quality. If I insert the same image, but insert it as a image as opposed to a rollover, they retain their quality. Is there a setting somewhere where I can specify to maintain the same image quality as the orginal when I insert a rollover image? Thanks in advance.

Could someone inform me if there is some way to configure Quiz with two attempts, but that in the lms it reports the highest score. Thank you 

Hi All,Is it possible to report the value of a text entry widget to SCORM?  I have built an activity where the learner enters a value using the text entry widget.  I save that entry to a variable and evaluate the entry using an advanced action triggered by clicking a smart shape.Is there a way to report the value in this variable to SCORM?  I see that my smart shape has the ability to report answers but I am not exactly sure what it will report.  Forgive me, I am very new to SCORM.  Trying to teach myself up but it's a bit slow going.I am using Captivate 9, outputting to SCORM 1.2 and Moodle as my LMS.Many thanks in advance.

Hi!  I have been creating quizzes on Adobe Captivate 9.  When I try to Open files, it does not allow me to open it.  I always get an advisory saying it cannot be opened because it might be opened already or file is corrupted.What can I do to open files that have been saved?Thank you!

Hi,I have a assessment including a  1 drag and drop question and 9 other MCQ/MRQ questions.I have a result slide and added 2 custom buttons 1 home and sceond Retake quiz.Problem is on retake marks of Drag and drop are not get calculated.Means:on first attemt my 9 questions are correct and Drag and drop is incorrect...I got 90%I retake quiz and now attempted all correct still I get 90%  What is solution for this.Regards,Sanket 

Hi all,I've installed the VR hotfix to address export of VR content in WebXR so it is compatible with recent browsers on devices but it appears to have broken the hotspots in the published project: If I have a hotspot in the timeline which is invisible at that particular time, I can still click in the location of the invisible hotspot and it performs the action. If I hover the mouse over the location of the invisible hotspot I get the yellow animated halo even though the hotspot is not shown.  I tried multiple browsers on Windows and on Oculus Quest, the behaviour was the same on all, although I didn't get the yellow halo on the Quest. Has anybody else seen this behaviour?  Have I done something wrong when installing the hotfix?? Many Thanks.

Hiya, Is it possible to have Captivate link a Video to a https address (in Media > Video > Event Video > Already Deployed...) ? When I paste the address of the file I have on our LMS server, Captivate immediately throws an error that the link is incorrect. If I remove the "s" in https I don't get the error but, of course, the video can't be found once I press the OK button. I'm having to link to the external video because, for some reason, when I embed the 1 hour video into the SCORM file, the playback is attrocious. It plays for a quaerter of a second then pauses for 15 seconds while loading then plays 15 seconds then loads for 15 seconds, etc. all the way through the video. Perhaps there's a Captivate setting I need to change but the LMS support is suggesting I link to the video externally, which has the https address. Thanks!!! Brett

I am a Captivate subscriber, but yet today when I tried to access my account, the app prompts me to start a free 30-day trial. This is most annoying to say the least. I thought uninstalling and reinstalling program might fix the issue, but no. It still prompts me to start a free 30-day trial, so I guess now I have to wait for Monday, even though Monday is my actual deadline. Adobe: if you are reading this, I am unhappy and would like a refund this month for this major inconvenience. Bad UX Design, that.

I so prefer Adobe Video Presenter Express.   As that is what I really need.  But ok... what ever.   So I am getting this message now.   I have a BenQ PD3220U monitor and a XP-Pen Artist 24 Pro display. Both need to be set up differently. Any ideas on how to sort this one out?  

So, I have installed Captivate on my new computer.  It says I need to decactivate it on the old computer (which it never worked there).  How do I decactivate it?   I have looked all over on my plans and products.  But I can not find where to deactivate it on the old computer.   Anyone have an idea?   Kenn.

I'm having an issue I hope someone could answer.I have a project that needs fixing due to background files being too big. I converted the background files from bitmap to jpeg buy going to: right click edit with (program) and then properties, edit and select file. Then properties and update. This made files much smaller. Now the overall file size is larger than it was to begin with. It's like it's holding on to the old files. I did check "unused files" but there aren't any. 

A couple of new Captivate quizzes I created has different spacing between the check box and the bullet/number of the question.  I've verified that the style, indent, spacing is all set the same.  If I add a new question to the bottom, it follows the same as the last question.  See attached where A/B/C have one spacing and D/E have another.  I've searched around and can't find any answers.  Any ideas?

Hi everyone! Is it possible to jump to video bookmark (for example Slide 5, Video at 02:50 Min) from TOC?Or I can jumpt to bookmarks just with created navigation buttons from Slide?  Is that possible?  Thank you!

Hi there,Looking for some verification/guidance regarding my selection criteria for publishing a course to an LMS, using xAPI.  I'm testing with SCORM Cloud's LRS and the statements that are displayed in their LRS Viewer is not what I'm expecting.  Basically, I do not want a record generated for each slide visited and would like to have the statement display 'Passed/Failed' for the quiz.  I've written xAPI statements using an external LRS, so I'm familiar with the syntax, but obviously, I'm not setting my options correctly.  Thanks in advance! 

Downloaded the latest trial version in order to show my company that this is a worthwhile expense. IF they choose to purchase it will be through corporate on a new license and not an upgrade on current trial license. Will I still be able to access/use files published using the trial version?

Hello,I have created a module using Adobe Captivate 2019 and published it as HTML5. I am experiencing a lag at several random points during the playing of the e-learning. There is a "Loading" message  layer, making it impossible to click on any of the active areas. Slide actions are halted while video and audio carry on unimpeded.The module includes 12 slide videos, each one ca. 30 - 60 seconds in length, ranging in size between 5 and 10 MB. I assume that the videos are the cause of the issue, because  e-learnings without videos do not exhibit the same behaviour. When I publish as executable I do not experience these issues.Adobe recommend the following:Ensure that the videos have sufficient keyframes. The recommended keyframe interval is at least one keyframe in every 2 secs. You can use Adobe Media Encoder (AME) to increase the keyframe interval if necessary. For a 30-fps video, configure the keyframe-distance to be 60 (frames) in AME (or any other tool of your preference).

I am trying to set a button that will play two advanced actions.  The first part is to activate a graphic move. I have this action done.The second part is to advance to the next slide after the movement is complete.  This is where I am stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. 

 Disclaimer: NEW TO CAPTIVATE. I have a question about the quiz results screen. After all questions are answered it doesnt seem to give results (score or anything) and it keeps say sorry failed even though I know I answered enough questions to get a passing score. Am i missing a step?

Hello!I'm using the latest versión of Captivate (Mac) and I noticed something strange while viewing the published course in a local server (MAMP). In a project I'm working right now, I need to display certain information which exceeds the height of my slide (1080px), so my approach was to make a HMTL with all the information in it and place it inside Captivate as a Web object.My idea worked perfectly since the page was displayed, the only problem is that it doesn't scroll up nor down (and while using Captivate page as an example, I also noticed that the links can't be clicked either) Tried attaching a .cptx as a way to provide the source file but it seems it's not supportedThanks for your help!

Hi all. I have been asked to produce an elearning package which has four modules. The four modules can be taken in any order followed by a knowledge quiz. All of this must be completed within 4 weeks of opening the package. Is there a way of doing this? Sorry if this is a realy simple question and I'm just being a noob. Many thanks

In Captivate (2019 release), sometimes, when you preview a project, you see the following error message. Workaround This issue is specific to your computing environment. You can either: Uninstall and reinstall Captivate. Change your network's proxy settings. Change the default browser. If the steps still do not resolve the issue, create a post in this forum or write to CaptivateHelp@adobe.com.

Hi Adobe Community!  I am working with a coworker to create eLearning modules via Adobe Captivate.
