Captivate

Hello All, Is it possible to add background music in the new Captivate, to an entire project? I have followed some instructions, provided by Adobe and unfortunately, these do not work. Any ideas?thanks

Icons in the tiles are displayed with a delay in the export. In preview mode and in Captivate, the timing is wonderful and works perfectly, but in the published file, the graphics and text are displayed with a delay for all symbols and tiles. In one screenshot you can see where the text and icons should be, like in the screenshot from within the captivate tool.

I am trying to create an interactive video that uses question slides as the overlay slides.  I am following the steps in the Captivate user guide, but when I get to the step to select the action to 'Add Overlay', that one specific action is grayed out.  I'm currently running version 12.4.0.2 if that could be creating thie issue. Has anyone else experienced this?   

When trying to start a new project I'm getting the eternal spinning blue circle. I can open existing projects but not start a new one. Has anyone seen this before?   

I have a problem publishing my project. When I publish my project, the embedded sound files are not played. In the preview, however, it works?!? I have the same problem with the "Click to show" widget. My icons are displayed in the preview, but when I publish it and start it normally, they are not. Can anyone help me? I have attached two screenshots to make it clearer. Thanks in advance

The project requires the user on review mode to be able to click on the feedback message to go to a content slide where they can revise the questions.However, on the current inbuilt graded question slide, the feedback message on review mode does not allow any interaction.a) You cannot add any block/element to the question slideb) the feedback message does not allow any custom navigation interactions. I have used radio buttons to create custom question slides but I have some challenges.c) the radio buttons cannot be changed to default state on slide revisit when retaking the quiz.d) the feedback flickers, then dissappears when the user retries the quiz after reviewing.e) the qn slide interaction has two conditions: for retake  and review mode which do not seem to work.the following are the interations for the question slide: On enter conditions, radio button interaction and submit button interaction.               The following

Is it possible to create multi-SCORM packages on the new Adobe Captivate, like Classic?

I wanted to know if it is possible to apply my slide count to all of my slides without having to individually copy and paste to each slide. I created a paragraph text block and entered '$$Project.CurrentSlideNumber$$ / $$Project.SlideCount$$' and it displayed the correct information for me in preview mode, but I'm not able to figure out if I can apply this to all slides without having to go through each and copying and pasting.

I am having a project in captivate classic where a textbox has few states with different text information. I need to copy the text displyed in the textbox to clipboard so that same can be copied to the lab environment. Can anyone help?

I have only been developing courses from a 'blank project' due to our end user and security access, but I've inherited a couple of courses done by another who designed them as 'responsive projects.' I need to finish the courses and make edits but as I've been doing this, I get my monitor changing resolution for about 10 seconds, then returning to normal. This is odd and unfamiliar but I'm guessing it has something to do with the responsive nature of the project. I'm thinking it has perhaps something to do with the positioning tab (I do understand the principles of responsive design having worked in web design prior, and I've familiarized myself with a bit of how the objects can relate to others with anchor points, and using percentages for scaling objects to different display breakpoints, etc., but rather than poking around and changing things to figure out the issue I'm hoping for a speedier solution as to what might be causing this that as I've got a full plate of editing to do! Is there any way to "solo" a layer?  I think this can be done in photoshop and after effects and is common in multitrack audio applications.  Basically, I would like to easily hide all layers except the one I am working on without having to manually click the eyeball button for each individual layer.Can this be done in Captivate 9?Thanks

I see in the review there is a comments panel on by defualt in adobe captivate. I want to completely disable this and I see info about looking in the comments panel. However, where is this? The comments panel apears nthe previre but not in the ,ai unterface. Where is the control to turn this feaure off for good? Thanks.

Hi Community,  I got a HTML 5 simulation that I created with the latest Captivate Classic (11.8.3). Everything works as expected.  I have several TEBs throughout the simulation and I noticed that the various browsers used have a spell check enabled and when typing in the TEB, it puts those red lines under words and blue lines as the end because it thinks the words are misspelled (red lines) or that it is missing a period at the end (blue lines).  The text that is being inputted into the TEBs are technical commands, which I don't expect browser spellcheckers to recognize. Instead of having learners disable spell checks across the many browsers they potentially will be using, is there a Captivate post-publish file or files I could modify to disable browser spell check from the project itself? Thanks in advance. 

...Hello Captivaters and Captivate's team !I want to know clearly what will happen to the hundreds of courses I've created with Captivate Classic after 2027 and the end of the support ?- Will they still be available on Internet ?- Will I be able to create new projects with Captivate Classic after 2027 ?- Will I be able to modify these old projects ?It appears that the "all new Captivate" doesn't give me all the opportunities (Drag and Drop, use of Javascritp, freedom with the design...) I have with the Classic version and I'm afraid this won't be the case in the future releases of the new version.😉... 

Hi everyone,I’m facing an issue with Adobe Captivate. When I insert a video into my project, it works perfectly when I export the project as HTML. However, when I export the same project as a video format (MP4), the embedded video doesn’t play and just shows a loading icon.For reference, I used a video in MP4 format with the H.264 codec. I’ve also tried adding different videos to check, but the issue persists when exporting as a video.Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Hello, Would appreciate your advise and help.As I build lessons on Captivate 12.4 and doing now and then 'preview' for the slide or the lesson, suddenly I find out that Chrome has logged me out from all sessions and I need to sign in again to any account I was signed in before including facebook, linkedin, even Adobe account. It happens only with Captivate and is happening randomally. I could not find a pattern besides the fact that it is related only to Captivate. Thanking you in adavnce

Julie can't say the word "go-live" to save her life. It's always go-live as in "I live here. I live in a house." I need her to say live as in "This software has a go-live date of March 1st"What would that look like in the pronunciation symbols for her dictionary?I need something to help me get her to say the go-live properly.  Right now I have a mashup that is "go alive" and she sounds stupid. Am I missing another workaround to get Julie to say go-live correctly?

Captivate Classic 11.5.5.553 The project requestor wants a narration for the quizzes in this Classic project. Putting the audio on the timeline means that if the user jumps ahead of the narration then the audio attached to the response objects plays simultaneously with the question audio. In the past, I had the question audio attached to a "Play Question Audio" button and that allowed me to terminate the question audio when the response text was displayed. But the requestor wants the quiz audio to play automatically upon slide entry. I am looking for a way to either stop the quiz audio OR delay the Submit response until after the quiz audio has finished playing. My trials with various Advanced Action approaches are not working. An example of what doesn't work is to have an AA that plays audio, delays next action by xx seconds, then continues. The result is that when the Submit button is clicked, the AA is apparently ignored. Is what I want to do just not feasible in

Hello. We are using the new Captivate 2024 to design courses. We have noted that the courses cannot be opened within an i-frame even though we are running everything on local host. We didn't have this issue with previous Captivate versions. See the attached screenshot of the issue.
