Hello Fellow Captivate-onians!We need to enforce learners taking sequential modules in LMS rather than freelancing out-of-order. The "Force Module Sequencing" box within Captivate Classic's (version 11.8.3.8) Multi-SCORM Packager has been removed from this later version of Captivate 2019, and as a result from testing I've found that learners within the LMS aren't forced to take course modules in the required sequence and which the SCORM2004 standard doesn't natively appear to enforce either. The government LMS in question (MarineNet) also doesn't have a force sequencing option for multiple module SCOs all contained within just one SCO package wrap. The LMS can only sequence by submitting separate SCO packages within one course folder which could get unweildy. What can I do to resolve this? Could I modify the imsmanifest file after-the-fact? If so, what value(s) need changing and to what? Help!! Scott Driver
I am making math quizzes in Captivate and whenever I have an exponent (portions superscripted in the answers) it resets the answer back to the original "option _ shown here" and I can't figure out how to change the text when hovering. Any ideas or work arounds?
We have the vulnerabilities with the Captivate classic 11.8.3. can we get the point of contact to discuss on the issue. Where can we get the contact details.
This Javascript example works in Captivate 9 to send quiz data to a url: JavaScript Solution: Launch a URL with Captivate Variables as Parameters - CaptivateDev.com (I've already successfully modified this one to include all quiz results variables)While this JavaScript example works in Captivate 9 to open our default email (Outlook) and populate the address line, subject line, and body with text but without any quiz results data: Email via Javascript button - Articulate Storyline Discussions - E-Learning Heroes Now, what everyone actually wants to do with Captivate 9 is to send Captivate 9 quiz results in an html 5 environment via email; however, incredibly Captivate 9 still cannot do this. However, Articulate with this JavaScript example can apparently do so just fine here: http://matthewbibby.com/email/#filesyoumightneed Now the following question is for anyone proficient enough in JavaScript in a Captivate 9 context to answer my question:These are my Captivate quiz
When creating a project in 12.4 and uploading to adobe lms, the module does not show a percentage of progress just says unavailable. is this a bug or am I doing something wrong
Can someone please tell me if there is a way to set the specific timing of an object on the side in the timeline that is NOT dragging the object on timeline (which is finicky at best and super innaccurate at worst). In old captivate (classic) the process for setting a duration for an object was super straightforward by just entering the time in a field or checking a box that said "show for rest of slide" or "rest of project". I cannot tell you how many hours I've wasted zooming into the timeline and dragging an object left, then right, to try to set it to the full length of the slide. It has caused naviagtion elements to disappear before the learner would need to click Next because they are gone before they would be displayed because they were on the slide for .01 second less than the slide duration. If there is some other way to do this please enlighten me. Thank you in advance!Mary
I had a SME enter notes on a share for review that wasn't supposed to have access. I meant to delete that one and work off the one our main SME made comments on but I deleted the wrong one! Is there any chance that IT or help can help me recover the deleted share for review?
Because of the current health crisis, I am working from home rather than going onsite to my healthcare organization. Can you suggest an optimum process utilizing Captivate on my computer to record screens on a remote computer; specifically I would be recording an user demonstrating a workflow in our organization's electronic medical record system? Thanks much!
In this case, the simulation recording process will automatically terminate once it exceeds 130 steps, preventing it from capturing the entire process. When the step count surpasses 130, the recording window collapses and closes, subsequently displaying the captured simulation data.
I am unable to open a recent project saved in my adobe captivate 2019 version. This project needs to be retrived asap but it is just loading when I open it and taking forever. Need some assistance to get this fixed and open my recent project.
I plan to create a software simulation project. It is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) type of software. Example is Customer Relationship Management software. I was wondering what is the best strategy to create this entire project because this will require hundreds to thousands of slides. As you know that each click in the software is one slide already. My plan is to:1) create a MENU slide as the main .cptx project. In the menu slide, it contains list of lessons which the end user will click and will direct them to the simulation topic itself. Menu (Main .cptx project) Lesson 1 - Create Customer Profile Lesson 2 - Create Supplier Profile &
I am trying to start a new project after about two years. The first thing that happens is that there is a dark void; I have to move the cursor around to find the first slide. But after about 6 seconds, it disppears. I then put an image on it, after which it disappears again. If I don't move the mouse while it is over it, it doesn't disappear. And when it does disappear, it is still visible on the filmstrip. If I add a second slide, the same thing happens.
I am still using Captivate 2019 and the Continue button on my result slide does not work even though I set up Pass/Fail parameters to jump to different slides. So if the user fails, they jump to one slide and if they pass, they jump to another. When I fail, and click Continue, nothing happens. I haven't tried to pass yet. I searched the community but did not find any other resolution. Anyone have any other ideas?
I'm totally lost on getting rid of the background of my pyramid widget, or even setting it to transparent. I'd like to remove the white background area as well as the drop shadow of this object. There's an option to change that color, but nothing relating to removing it, making it transparent, or getting rid of the drop shadow.I'd also like to have the first element (#1 in the pyramid) to be open by default, but that's not as important for now. I'm using Captivate 6. Any ideas?
I'm in an academic environment and need to add a focus indicator to interactive elements for accessibility. We're using Captivate 12.4. Any suggestions appreciated.
I may be asking too much from the new Adobe Captivate (once again). I am building an interactive eLearning module for English Language Learners. It involves text that they read, a few knowledge checks, a final assessment, and there is a video that they need to watch (a full episode - 24 minutes in length). I desire both the playskin to be accessible (the embedded play/pause, mute, window expand, and playbar for fast forward and rewind) and for closed captioning to be an option. According to everyone, including Adobe Technical Support, event videos do not support closed captioning. I need it to be an event video for the playback controls to be in the skin. Has anyone figured out a work-around for this? I tried to embed closed captioning within the MP4 file through Camtasia, to no avail. I have also noticed that you can 'import' closed captions from the File menu. Thought maybe I could do something with the original srt file, and
I have submitted a bug through the Submit bugs/Feature request link. There was no messaging saying that they received it and no email confirming they got it. It just simply redirected me back to the Forums home page. Has anyone had a response or email from Adobe when submitting a bug??
In Adobe Captivate, how can we set the focus on a specific input field when there are multiple input fields on the same slide, and do so as soon as the project opens ? Thank you !
Hi,Is it possible to include an iframe with external content in the "all-new Captivate"? It seems that it's only allowing to embed YouTube and Vimeo videos but I need to embed other external content. Thanks!
Hello, I'm currently developing an e-learning course using Adobe Captivate 2019. As a beginner, I want to implement a feature where the "Next" button only appears when users revisit the slides. Additionally, I've used JavaScript to prevent users from dragging the slider on the progress bar. My module contains over 100 slides, and I am unsure how to add the "Next" button functionality specifically for revisiting slides, while also integrating it with the slider functionality. Should I use JavaScript, advanced actions, or shared actions for this? Can anyone help me with this?
Does anyone have an idea on how to work with Indian languages (Hindi, Marathi, etc.) in Adobe Captivate?
To work efficiently, I'm copying and pasting the blocks within a slide as well as between multiple slides. This saves me time from having to change the template/design and helps maintain a more streamlined look throughout the presentation. However, I keep encountering an error message and I'm not sure how to remedy it. I've already restarted Captivate twice, but the issue persists. Do you have any advice on how to resolve this?
HiTo get crisp text we need to add the null variable to text.Is there a way to add this to all textboxes with some javascript or anything else?So we dont need to do it to every textbox manually?
I want to individually adjust the size of a picture frame. How can I do that?
Hi, I'm trying to create a video on Adobe Captivate. When I click publish I only have the option to publish as HTML5, I can't see the option to post as a video. I want to have an MP4. I can see the slides on the left hand side of the screen. Do you know why this might be? Thanks, Rich
