Captivate

I am busy with some questions in a module. Every question you have to choose A or B (see the first picture). The result is visible in the score list (picture 2). Now I want to make that if you click on the total button in a colum he counts only the visited results but he gives always 12 and that are all the answers in that collum not only the one you visited. What do I do wrong??? 

Is there a setting that can force a user to the results screen on a quiz that they have already failed before completion of the quiz? For example, we have a 140 question comprehesive test. They must pass with a 90%. So, if they fail 15 questions, they fail the test. But, I don't want them taking the whole 140 test if they are 20 in and have failed 15 of them.Thanks

Hello,I'd like to see if anyone could support me in solving this problem:When I send the LMS an HTML5 score generated in Captivate2019, when closing it in the middle of a quiz and trying to open it again, it keeps loading and does not open again.By doing the same process but with an HTML5 scorm generated from Captivate9, if you can open me to the question where I stayed.Do you have any idea why this situation happens in Captivate 2019 '

Hello, I am working in Captivate 2019 version 11.5.1.499 and have written a Javascript with a For Loop running through 30+ objects by name (Is there any ID system that can be used besides the actual object name? These objects are not TEBs, they are text captions/images.) and it works perfectly fine.The problem occurs when I try to copy and paste the slide with all of its content into another project (which does not have any objects with the same name as the ones I am pasting into it). The Javascript comes in fine but the objects are all renamed, and for the code to work, since it is based off of the object names, I will have to rename every single object. Is there a way to force Captivate to keep the same name of all Objects on a slide when copying and pasting them into another Project (or anywhere for that matter)?

We're working on someone else's course and I printed storyboards from a Captivate file for our project manager to use. The slide displays correctely but the text objects are backwards. Objects are listed in the reverse order of how they are shown on screen. Same thing when I exported captions; everything is in reverse order. Is this a bug?

Hello! I have a problem with uploading a 360 virtual reality object, created in Adobe Captivate. It is navigable and interactive on LMS Canvas, however 360 images do not appear. Do you know anything about this problem? Probably someone must have already used this type of object and found a way for it to work. I need help, please!In the preview on Captivate "HTML5 in Browser" it works perfectly using Chrome.These are the only options I have to export the final project file. I usually export by "Publish to Computer".It publishes these folders and files. Which will be placed on Canvas later.I upload the files to Canvas in the "Files" option. (Is it possible that the problem is in the Captivate publication?)Then I insert the html link for the object on the test page. However the images (360 jpg) do not appear!I tested publishing for Adobe Captivate Prime and there the virtual reality object works perfectly!In LMS Canvas or opening locally it gives this error "Unable to acqui

I have a slide with an image of a kitchen, with buttons on different items. The buttons play a short audio each. I want the user to be able to click on the buttons as many times as they want and listen to the audio. I have a "Continue" button, and I want the user to be able to keep clicking the other buttons until they decide to go to the next slide by clicking "Continue". Please tell me there's a simple way to do this. I have looked at other discussions but I just don't get it.

hi  i want to change the state of objects in a slide not only by clicking  but also by the time of voice .for example in a timeline slide when the voice speaks about 2000 , i like that the button of 2000 to change to an other color and the text of it to be displayed. and when the voice speaks about next time (for exapmle 2005 ) the button of it to change the color and the text of it appears .(the texts are in a same shape in diffrent statesthe buttoms are seprate from each other)I don't know if I could get my point or confuse you.at the end is there any way to change state of shapes during the time in an slide thanks for your answers 

I'm going nuts here -  my project played as I wanted it to.  I made a few corrections to some drag and drop slides and now several of the slides are not doing what I want them to do. IN TWO DIFFERENT PROJECTS!!!  I've obviously done something but I can't figure it out.  There are slides in both projects that are fully functional.  This only happened with 2-3 slides per project.  When I preview the project, I can hear the audio but I can't see the material on the slide.  Does anyone have any suggestions?    

I've recorded a software simulation and have a short PPT deck I want to import into the begining and end of the simulation as intro/outro items. The PPT deck has transitions/morphing/sound within the presentation and when I record it in Captivate as a seperate item all the slides transition/work as designed. When I import the recording into the software simulation I lose all the transition/morphing attributes of the presentation. Is there a way to get this to work properly?

Hello.I have a project using the font Effra from Adobe Creative Cloud, I am able to build the course using the font, but when I publish it i see the project in Times New Roman. My Adobe Fonts domain is set up as *.enaspot.com and the sample is uploaded on this link: http://elearning.enaspot.com/Test/PWL335%20Advanced%20DVB%20Troubleshooting/index.htmlOn other hand, I've built a non responsive, "blank" project with the same font used from adobe fonts, and the adobe fonts domain field was disabled on publishing no matter i used adobe fonts and I was able to view the properly without any issue on any device. It's my first time using adobe CC so I am not familiar how it should work.

I'm using Open Sans but when I preview or publish the project it changes to Times New Roman. It worked fine 2 weeks ago (for months) but now it isn't. It's a web-safe font and I haven't changed any setting in the past 2 weeks. HELP!!

Am importing PowerPoint Slides into Captivate and am unable to get it to work. I get below error:

I have Retain Text unchecked but published project retains and displays a list of all my previous text entry attempts.This is confusing in simulations because learner won't understand why they see this where list shows all my previous attempts.How do I clear this so my learners don't see list of previous attempts? Thanks

Hey again guys! Still deep into figuring out what is and isn't possible with Captivate so bear with me with all the questions. 🙂 So right now playing with a setup with a web object window that shows when you click a button. It more or less looks like a popup that would appear on a website to collect contact info. It hangs over the main project and pauses it while it displays. You enter an email, submit, and it shows a thank you page before redirecting back to the email sign up after a few seconds. But because it's an embedded object, the window stays on screen and the user has to manually close it out to resume the project, where ideally it'd hide itself after submission. Is this somehow possible through javascript, where a thank you page URL triggers a script to hide the window? Or will it always need to be manually closed out?

HI, We purchased Captivate and have been using it to create demo's. We are doing an in house, intranet class and I want to record it, so that I can edit it later. Do I need to put the full version of Captivate on this PC?? Or is there a way to record the class without the full version installed? Thanks!

Not sure why my employees do this but I have several swf files linked. At end of each file there is a button that opens the other swf file. It works fine. The problem is so some folks instead of going through the file or selecting the hime button to go back to the table of contents of swf files drags the control bar to the end where all the buttons are gone. Why is this? Is there a way around it? The properties of the buttons do not allow "resl of movie" it only allows "rest of slide" which I have selected. Thanks

I'm just learning Captivate...so, when I'm recording (set at full motion 800x600) I make my way throught the clicks and such. Then when previewing the movie, not all the elements are lining up. For example, I click on one icon and it appears that I'm clicking on the one next to it. Sometimes, there doesn't even appear to be an icon to click on, yet there should be. It looks like there is a lag time along with a lack of registration (print term). Any ideas? I just read that full-motion is only for short bursts...not sure if this would cause all these issues.

I am running into issues with my Captivate file... I read to make is smaller since captivate doesn't deal well with larger files. I tried to do an import taking only a portion of the slides, about 50... the new SMALLER movie has a larger file size than the old LARGER movie. I have deleted slides, imported, exported, etc. It seems any time I make an edit in Captivate the file size gets larger rather than smaller even though I am removing slides. Any suggestions? I am still running 1188, waiting for the IT folks to come and install the update but wasn't sure if this problem is addressed.

I can't get my results page to show any data. I have two courses that are exactly the same one shows the results page and one does not. To make things even more interesting when the results pags shows at the end of the quiz it is showing a failure message that doesn't jive with the message found in the quiz manager/quiz/show score at end of quiz/fail message. I have added new question slides and hid all the previous slides and the same issue continues, even the funny failure message!!!! My project deadline is here, I need help!!!

HiI am creating a project in captivate, i have laid buttons on top of an image but when the resolution changes or the project is published to another device the position of the buttons relative to the image changes. can i lock their position?? any help appreciated.

Hi... just spent the last hour trying to debug some JS code so hopefully this will save someone the headache:Under the Properties tab, in the Actions panel lies a button called "Script_Window" which is where we're supposed to be able to enter own our javascript.I found out the hard way that Javascript comments are not welcomed in this script window. Once it encounters these comments in your code it stops processing all together, not just that specific line of code. Captivate 9 vers 9.0.2.421 on Mac OSX 10.11.6

I am creating a project with fluid boxes. It can be challenging bu I get the course to do what I need it to do, so far. I need to include some slide with a video (1 each).   Any tips?
