Hi,I am facing issue while implementing play pause functionality in my WBT.Clicking play/pause button, after the slide ends takes to me the next screen.
I've had this issue with each attempt at video recording. On the Mac, there was a pop up that suggested switching to 'Auto', although I can't seem to see it any more and am not sure what this refers to or the steps I'm supposed to take to fix it. Additionally, I heard that the choppy playback on the PC could be as a result of a Hardware issue but the 'Troubleshoot' tab I was advised to follow in the Control Panel was not visible through my Surface Pro operating system for some reason, is anyone familiar with a reliable method to avoid this choppy video on either Mac or PC?
1. With one educational license, how many computers are you allowed to have running Adobe Captivate (2019)?2. For $399 is this a perpetual license?3. Is the creation of a standalone EXE disabled in the 30 day trial version?
Using Captivate 2019 and have a slide that when you enter it is playing an animation. After the animation plays if you want the animation to replay without moving to another slide first if doesn't work. It has the same replay advanced actions as other slides with animations but it doesn't work here. Could it be because the animation starts playing as soon as you enter the slide?I was thinking maybe it needed some sort of counter to know to reset and play but I'm not sure.
Using CP2019. There are some OAM files to go in a project but the person that created them made them bigger than we can use. We've tried resizing it like an image but it clips off some of the content. Do we need to go back to Animate and resize it? Is there a way within Captivate?
After I created the course with Captivate, I transformed it into an android app through PhoneGap. But I don't know the way to create the login and signup form (through google or facebook) on the app so that only users I approve can use this app. Can anyone guide me? Many thanks.
I'm using Captivate 2019 the version is less than 11.5 (Government contract dictates updates,so far none has been authorized). I develop most of the graphics with Photoshop and export as a png.some of these graphics have text in them. In Photoshop and viewing the pn g with a image viewe r the text looks fine and sharp. Import into captivate and published it looks blurry. we are using responsive design, and images are the exact size as needed. is there away to fix this?
I used the drag n drop wizard to create an interaction in Captivate 2019. This interaction is for 1 attempt, where the drag source bounces back when not on the right drop target. Each drop target uses object actions set to No action. The Pause After: time is set to 1.5 sec. When I preview it regularly, it works fine. When I preview as HTML5 in Browser, it doesn't pause. Same with a published HTML5 version on the website - no pause. What am I missing? I noticed a reference in another posting to uncheck the 'Continue playing the project' option - but I can't find that. I've used it before, but I can't find it now. I'm thinking this is a simply fix, but I can't figure it out. So all help is welcome!
If I currently have 2017 is there really a need to upgrade to 2019 or is 2017 sufficient?
I updated the user dictionary for my 2019 version of Captivate. Captivate is still not using the new list. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Hi all, I've created my own player bar since the out-of-the-box ones are mostly awful. This has all been done on the first screen of the course, and the player buttons are set to display on top of all other slide elements and persist until the end of the course. This appears to work great until I get to a branching slide. The branching is controlled from on-slide buttons. But on those slides I don't want the user to be able to click either the forward or back button on the player bar (depending on the slide they're on) because it will mess up the branching experience. I can't remove the forward or back button on those specific slides as they're persistent across the entire course. And I can't cover them up because they're set to appear in front of all on-slide elements. Is there a way I can accomplish what I need? Thanks.
Is there a way to export the Accessibility Details for objects in addition to the captions to a PDF?
I created a lesson with Captivate 9. The lesson was published to HTML5 and will be hosted on a company intranet. There is no reporting on the lesson as it will not be published to an LMS, but there is a requirement that the lesson should resume at the last slide viewed when exited and revisited. Is this possible in Captivate?
Please stop
Hello, I am based in the UK and would like to undertake the Adobe Captivate Specialist course. Looking on the Adobe website only shows the course taking place in America, is there a UK based Adobe Captivate Speicialist course? Thanks Simon
I'm having a brain lapse. When does the Copy Background from the edit menu work? A coworker wants to copy the background from one slide to another but the option is grayed out.
Hi,When I try to record from a video on Presenter it does not record sound from the video.
G'day, I'm trying to set up Captivate Reviewer (v2019) for the first time and I'm following the instructions correctly, as far as I can tell, but when I open the .crev file (that I put on our local Windows server volume) I'm getting the following warning message:"The comment store location is a local directory. Export comments to author to complete the review." When I did the initial "Send for Shared Review" setup, I chose the same network drive for the "Publish Folder" as well as the "Projects comment folder" so the comments are definitely not sitting locally. What am I missing??? Thanks!!! Brett
Hi, We use a third party vendor who has built our SCORM 1.2 package using captivate with some basic requirements we had like, user cannot progress to next slide in the SCORM content until the voice-over on the slide has completed (the next button is greyed out), and we have a quiz with a 1 minute timer per question (the next button to take the user to the next question is hidden until timer expires). By right, the content + questions take 55mins to complete. Our LMS sometimes shows users completed the scorm content in as little as 13mins, though this only happens to a subset of users. Not everyone faces this. And sometimes the learners have completed, but the LMS backend still shows as in-progress. We usually help relaunch and close, and that seems to pass the score, timespent and completion to the LMS. I was wondering if I could get a link to the troubleshooting ebook or guide. Or any suggestions from you? We've done a one-off test in SCORMCloud and it works fine over there.
New to Captivate. Recently purchased Captivate 7. I'm trying to obtain an object 'add effect' similar to the "wipe" (from left) and the "wheel" animation effects found in PowerPoint. I want to simulate hand-drawing an emphasis line under text. I have a .png graphic of a hand-drawn red line (transparent background) that I'd like to appear by "wiping" from left to right. The "stretch" effect (from left to right) found in Captivate's "Add Effect" doesn't look right; it's obviously a 'stretch' instead of a 'wipe'. Likewise, I would like to hand-draw a circle or oval around certain text or other objects to draw attention to these items. The "wheel" animation in PowerPoint works perfectly for this. Is there a way to do this in Captivate? Maybe some variation of one of the built-in effects that I've missed? Camtasia Studio has "sketch motion graphics" built in - which also does this nicely.
I just uploaded a powerpoint deck to Capitvate. About 4-5 slides in Captivate are now showing very large black splotches covering the slide and the text and image formatting. Anyone know why these black splotches appeared and how to get rid of them. The powerpoint slides are formatted fine and nothing looks off.
Captivate 9:Im creating a Moodle course that consists of a series of captivate scorms. As a final slide in the captivate project I have been notifying the student to exit the current scorm course (which was opened in a new window from the LMS) and return to the LMS and open the next captivate scorm.A new request has been submitted for the exit button to simply close the current course and open the next course in the LMS.Is there a solution in the Captivate project to handle that?
Are there any good resource which list all of the tags and attributes and describe what each is used for? I would like do more custom effects but I’m playing a guessing game as to what all is available and how to use what I find. Anything will help. Online resource, hard copy book…Anything.
Hi all,Does anybody knows if it's possible to make an object's position fixed when scrolling? I would like a header menu to stay always on the top of the page when scrolling down. Thanks in advance,Victor
Hello,I’m using Captivate 2017 and created a simple non-responsive project with drag and drop interactions, and a quiz (settings shown below). I’ve set up the quiz with 3 attempts, and the LMS (Bridge) with 1. I’ve tested the course by passing on the first try, and also failing all 3 times. It works perfectly fine for me.Some users have already taken the course and passed the quiz, and the LMS has recorded everything as it should. However, we have some users who have reported completing the course and passing the quiz, but the course remains incomplete. In other words, on my end, it shows that they started the course, but have not taken the quiz, therefore it’s still incomplete. I’ve asked them to clear their history, use a different browser, and nothing has helped. In most cases, they can take the quiz more than the allowed 3 times, and it still does not report the activity back to the LMS.I’ve reached out to Bridge and they have tested the course and said that it worked for them, the
