We are using Captivate Prime but I am new to the system and to Adobe Captivate. I have been tasked with converting a PowerPoint presentation to Captivate.The final product will:Be created in Adobe captivate 9 using the PowerPoint presentation provided (25 slides). No audio needed.There will be sets of questions at different points of the presentation (after slide 3, 9, etc). Since this will be posted in Captivate Prime, the system is to track the number of correct answersThe module will provide basic feedback  (Correct or Incorrect)  after every question. Incorrect answers don't prevent users from moving to the next slideIf by the end of the training the trainee has not achieved at least 80% correct answers.Please let me know if this is a project you would be interested in.Thanks

Hello everybody,I am pretty sure this is an easy question 🙂I have created audio + cc from the slide notes. When publishing the project, I can hear the audio, see the cc but not the cc function to switch on and off the cc. Do you know why?

I have a rather large project that I'm working on in Captivate 8. The project is made up of forty independent modules.Each module has about 20-30 slides, and each slide has an image (already captured through Snagit and saved to a desktop file).Basically, this is assembly-line work. Each Captivate slide requires one of the images from its respective desktop file. When I select an image (Captivate: Media > Image) from a file and populate the the Captivate slide, the image is populated at the size it was captured as.All of the images that must be populated have the same x,y coordinates and the same height, width dimensions for all slides.It is fairly simple to utilize the Object Style Manager to set up standard objects like text or buttons, but how can I do the same for images?I want to (if it is possible) use the Object Style Manager, or some other function, to set up images that I populate to always populate at the same x,y coordinates and at the same height and width. I see on the support page for creating VR content with Captivate 2019 that Samsung Gear VR and Daydream VR are the only listed publishing options. Content I've created plays fine through a browser on a computer, but I don't have access to the Android gear that the VR publishing options require.Anyone know of any other VR publication options at this point, or if there are any plans (or maybe even rumors) to use any other platforms, or platforms like Daydream VR to accept iPhones?Tnx. 

I have Captivate 9 loaded on my PC. Can I also load Captivate 9 on my Laptop to bring to work?

Adobe Captivate 2019 (11.0.1.266)  I have already uninstalled/reinstalled. I have renamed the Layouts folder twice. What is causing this error and how does it get fixed?

My html5 output works fine in Firefox and Microsoft Edge when I click on the index.html file to play locally, but with Chrome it does not plaly well at all, and takes forever to load, and has to load twice.  What's going on with campatibility with Chrome?I am using Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit for Chrome), which is the current version for ChromeFor  Captivate 2019 I am using the latest version 11.0.1.266.

This is an issue that I noticed in 2017 Captivate, but still showing up with 2019. If you record a software simulation with the Show Mouse Location and Movement selected, and add details to the project (text box, smartshapes, etc.) the formatting and alignment is thrown off and the project is unusable.

I am looking to have user be able to see the outcome of two previous drag and drop interactions. The drag and drops are created, work well, no correct answers (user is ranking items). Is there a way to show the user the outcome of the drag and drop in a different slide later in the project? I want to refer back to what they've created and see how it changes as they go through the course. I know I've previously referred back to other items to "insert" them into a new slide, but I can't find where to do that, nor do I know if that would work for this example.

I'm not able to stop my screen recordings. Command + enter doesn't work, so I tried changing the keyboard shortcut to something else but it still doesn't work. I read that a few people have had this problem but haven't read any definitive solutions yet. It means that every time I try it, I have to just shut down my entire mac just to get it to stop. I'm using the Captivate 2019 free trial on a MacBook Pro. Can anyone help please?

When I use the Drag & Drop Interaction Wizard from the tool bar pull down, the Submit  button always appears in a bad place.  When I try to drag it to the bottom of the screen, or to a better place, it won't move.  It seems to shirink down in size, but won't budge.  I'm using Captivate 2019.

I have Captive 2019 and Office 2019. When I try to import a pptx file into Captivate, I receive an error. If I take that ppt file and convert it to ppt, it imports just fine. This has happened for my last three versions of Captivate (and the past couple of Office versions). And the PPT files come from many of my stakeholders. So the file is not corrupt. What could the problem possibly be?

Please help a girl out! I am launching a project next week and am having issues with a 360 interaction I created using Captivate 2019.it works just fine on browsers besides IE on a desktop/laptop. However, there is latency/unresponsiveness when using mobile devices such as an iPad.Does anyone have a fix for this?

I'm creating an assessment which has a software simulation element. I want users to have to click a point on screen and press a submit button to move to the next step, and I'm fairly sure I can do that easily enough. (Right now, they just click a click box in the correct location and it progresses to the next step/question).However, if I'm going to implement submit buttons, users are naturally going to want to be able to SEE their selection before they confirm it with the submit button.Is there any way to make Captivate display the user's mouse clicks? I don't care if it's a box, a coloured circle, anything - just something that appears on screen to indicate 'you have clicked here'. I can't find any functionality for it, and can't think of an easy way to implement it.Any suggestions?

Things were good.A few months ago, we outsourced localization of the English *.CPTX files to have them translated into a number of languages.We got the localized *.CPTX and *.ZIP files back recently, published the *.ZIP files to our LMS, Skilljar.The ZIP file were generally OKThe loc company externally updated the Captivate XML and used external tools to update the *.ZIP files.So we currently do not have functional *.CPTX files for many localized lessons.We caught this a little bit ago, and the loc company is getting us functional *.CPTX files, but for now\immediately we do not have them.We were working on having them update these, but until tonight, it was not urgent.ISSUEWe were doing final tests today to go live over the weekend and starte

We've had a very nice scenario built for us in HTML5 and it currently sits on my web server. I've dropped it into Captivate as a Web Object and I've written the JavaScript to communicate between the two.In testing all runs well.Now we need to give the published project to the client. How do I give them the scenario? It can't stay on my web server. I don't see any options to automatically include it in the published output.If the client puts it on their server then the path within Captivate will be incorrect.If the client zips it together with the SCORM output then again the path will be incorrect and the files won't be in the IMS manifest.How is this normally handled? Any help will be appreciated.

Good afternoon all,I'm having an issue with the Matching Quiz Question. I have been able to resolve this before by changing the Default Style Name, but it's only partially working this time. As you can see below there is a broken link image where a letter should be. Anyone know how to resolve this? It's fine in Captivate preview, but not in HTML preview or output. This course is in Captivate 10/2017. I read a previous discussion where someone was able to fix this by taking the question out of the question pool, but these questions are not in a pool. Thanks for any help in advance!

Any idea as to why this only shows the failure text? I am trying to mix these and have them drag to the correct side. It wasn't working so I put them in their correct boxes then played the slide and it still shows fail...THEY'RE IN THE CORRECT BOX! I've made drag and drops before and even cross referenced all the settings for everything.

I recorded a video demo without sound and would like to add the voice narration. I have clicked the record button and recorded my voice. I'll click Save and the wav file will be in the library. However, I can't get the track to save to the cpvc file, nor can I drag and drop it. What am I doing wrong? Or, is there an easier way to record a video demo and add voice narration later?

HiJust wondering if it possible to speed up video demo playback e.g. change it to x2 speed.I'm creating a software sim and when it comes to installing software I want to use a speeded up video demo.(installing software using a windows wizard i.e. progress bar, and also using the command line).I want to speed up the part where the user is watching the progress bar etc.I know I could justshow the start and end of the progress bar,or export recording to another app, increase speed and import it back in.But was just wondering if it was possible to speed up video demo playback out of the box in CP 2019 ??ThanksDonal.

I have included a video of this issue. To repeat, insert a new quiz slide into a project that you have already customized the interaction IDs. Go to the Quiz tab of Properties. At the bottom, in the Interaction ID box, type over the auto-assigned ID with a custom ID (mine is two letters and two digits). Save the project. Navigate away from the slide you just changed the interaction ID for. Navigate back to the slide and look at the interaction ID again. It has reverted to the auto-assigned ID. Have tried closing the project and opening it again to no avail. Any suggestions to fix?Message was edited by: Margaret Eldridge

I know this can't be a new problem, but have searched both the forum and the web, and cannot find the answer.  We have a quiz on the LMS (SumTotal) that we do not want users to be able to retake. The problem is, they are given a link the first time to take the quiz, but then go back again later, search for the quiz in SumTotal, and take it again to improve their score. We have turned off the search feature in SumTotal for this quiz, but they have found another way to re-find the quiz. In Captivate, we have specified, "If failing grade, allow 1 attempt." this did not fix our issue. Is there a variable to write to resolve this and only allow one take? The LMS shows "completed", but they can restart again. The LMS admin has said there is nothing else on her side to "tic" or select. I don't want just a variable to tell me how many attempts they have made, I want something to prevent an attempt at the quiz greater than one time.
