Captivate

Hello all,I have encountered issues regarding e-learnings that include videos, for stationary computers.The issue is that those e-learnings don't work or stops working when the video is about to start. This is for Explorer, but when the learners switch browser it works. Then it stops working in that browser too and they need to switch back or to another one and so forth.All e-learnings and videos are produced on Mac (the videos I add is MP4 and as slide video) and the learners work on PC/Dell computers if that would be to any valuable information.This is not sustainable to ask them to switch back and forth and neither a good learning experience. I thought an exported e-learning/SCORM (in HTML5, to an LMS) would work on any computer, regardless where they were produced.Could anyone please help me sort this out, what the issue is?What kind of browser should be the default browser for them to use?Thank you in advance!

It is a hit or miss. When I go to preview my project in Captivate, red squares come up in place of certain images. Sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it's random images, sometimes it will work and then on one slide the image just randomly turns to a red box. Sometimes the problem can be fixed just by exiting out and opening it up again.This happens both while previewing the project and the html version. This does not happen to the individual slides when viewing 'from slide' but I need this project to be complete in the next week or so and I am concerned that when I present the project, the red boxes will appear. I feel like I don't have control over it.Is there a way to stop these boxes?The Captivate file is saved on my desktop and there is an xmlParser document that I keep deleting but it keeps showing up on my desktop, I was thinking maybe it had something to do with it?I can open the xmlParser in Notepad and it reads:Error [not well-formed (invalid token)] @ lin

Hi,I have a large Captivate project which comprises of maybe 50 slides. About 25 of these slides contains complex animations created in Animate CC, which have then been exported to HTML5, packaged into a .zip file, and imported into Captivate as a media object (HTML5 animation). Each animation has an audio file associated with it (some have 2 or 3), which I have left packaged into the Animate CC. I ended up combining the audio with the Animate file as I was having major syncing issues when it was on the Captivate timeline. I have code in each Animate file to keep the timeline animation in sync/keep up with the audio as best as possible. This all works okay on desktop browsers.My issue is that the audio contained within the imported HTML5 files does not seem to play on mobile devices. I'm assuming that's due to recent iOS changes, and the audio is being paused and that there needs to be some user interaction to "un-mute" it.Is there a way to communicate with all of the iframes that my p

I'm having a problem with a variable not incrementing properly when using Tab and Enter (for 508 compliance) to navigate through a page. The page in an interaction where the user has to select multiple items and then click a Submit button to get it correct. After the first incorrect try they get one feedback and after the second incorrect they get a different feedback box appearing. Everything works fine when using the mouse or the shortcut keys I defined for the input. The problem arises when the user uses the tab and enter key combination. If they get it right on the first try, everything works as it should. However, if they get it wrong, it immediately shows the second feedback option.I'm using a variable to count the incorrect. I've tried the increment (increase by 1) and expression (var = var + 1) but neither seem to make a difference with the tab/enter method. Have any of you had this issue and know how to deal with it?

I have a very basic product training module I did back in the spring that plays fine on my corporate client's LMS. They gave the module to one of their customers so that their sales team can also do the training. When the customer tries to play the module using their LMS (Grovo) on mobile devices it appears that the flow I've designated for the responsive boxes is getting overridden somehow -- switching from vertical to horizontal. At least that is my best guess. The module works fine on all other platforms we've tested on. I've attached a screen shot of what the module should look like (from SCORM Cloud) vs. what they are seeing when they run the module on Grovo. Has anyone ever seen something like this before? Any ideas on how to fix it? Does it have something to do with the module launching it what appears to be it's own player? I am working on a large Adobe Captivate project. It has anoption for learners to test out of the course before the content is displayed.It’s a robust course with voiceover, video, images, and we used AdvancedActions/Variables to navigate learners though the course based on what theyanswer in quizzes. When I test it locally, it works perfect every time. But nowI’ve published it to Adobe Connect and we are experiencing a lot of bufferingwhen we run the course. I’m not sure if buffering is the right word though. Thecourse will freeze, and a message appears that says “Loading”. The play barwill continue but text and graphics will not display. I’ve had some luck with adjusting the file size andadjusting how the quizzes report back to the server but we’re still seeing theloading issue. I’m finding that it tends to happen later in the course. Thank you!

Captivate 6 certificate widget information disappears when I click print icon. Anyone else experiencing this behavior? And if so, is there a fix?

I am looking to share an interactive PDF with my colleagues. Once I have created the interactive PDF and open it on my computer it works, but when I upload the file to Dropbox, or share via Wetransfer, the file turns into just one blank page, even on my own computer. Any idea of why this is happening and how I can resolve?

Hi,Technical team tried to download and install Adobe captivate 2019 64 bit for windows. This is procured through the corporate account (L&T Infotech). The installation doesnt complete. The Capticate icon shows up in programs, but once I click on it, an error window shows up which states "The localized resource files for this application could not be loaded. Please reinstall or repair the application and try again".We are trying to uninstall but it just wont allow uninstallation.Would really appreciate some advise.Thank you,Niranjan

Anyone developed a Level 3 course in Captivate 2017 (using Fluidbox)?If yes, Please let me know how much effort it'll take per slide and how we can achieve this.

Hi All, I am currently working on quiz slides. It has 5 questions. Each question has 4 options. All the options lead to some decision making. There are no correct and incorrect answers. At the end of the quiz or upon answering all the questions, user will be shown level 1, 2 or 3 based on the selected options. How to build this kind of scenario in captivate? Do we need to customize the slides or can we take the default quiz slides?? Need your help!!! Thanks in advance!!

So i created a very basic e-learning with two content slides, 2 quiz slides (multiple-choice) and the review quiz slide. When i preview with "HTML5 in Browser" the loading icon keeps spinning. When i export my project and open the index_scorm.html in my browser (Chrome) the same problem occurs. The "Preview in SCORM Cloud" doesn't work aswel.Anyone knows a solution to fix this?

Hello everyone!I've a totally customized Hot Spot Quiz Slide. I have 12 buttons, only 3 of them are correct. You have 3 attempts to do it right. In each attempt, you score a different number of points (First attempt 3, second 2, in the last 1).I've setted up (as you can see in the image (sorry it's in spanish)):- The first 3 elements, are the 3 kind of wrong responses. In the group I've a background, a smart-shape with text, and a button. In this buttons, I have an Advance Action, to reset all the buttons of the quiz back to 0. (a variable is setted for each quiz element). In the last wrong message, you get the Correct Answer and the exit button will Go to the next slide.- The next 3 elements, are the 3 correct messages. In this groups, I have a button, which "On success" with Go to the next slide, and score points (I've included the button on the test, and bring to the total a different amount of points, if you're in the first attempt correct message, and so on).The validation of the

HI Everyone, I think I'm missing something simple.  My coworker is uploading question via cvs in CP2019. When she does this, incorrect and correct feedback messages appear in the upper right corner of the slide.  I can't find a way to make change the default location for those messages.  I have tried going through the master slide to no effect. I can't find any discussions on this, so I'm assuming I overlooked something.  Has anyone else had this issue?Thanks

Hello,I have a multi-state object on every slide of my current project that is dependent on a variable from the user. I already have it working but there was so much in my advanced action that it runs slow now.What I am going for: The user selects 1 of 10 characters and that character is displayed in the corer of each of the proceeding screens (roughly 30 slides).So what I did was put a clickbox around each character, then when the user selects one, it sets a variable to XYZ. Then at the beginning of each screen, an advanced action runs that checks for what the variable is and sets the state of the character to the users selection.This took forever though, because I copied and pasted the original object onto each slide and had to name them character, character1, character2...and so on. Then in the advanced action to check for the variable, I had to use 10 different if statements, all with "if character = X, change state of character to X, change state of character1 to X...and so on" Th

I'm creating my first project from blank slides in Captivate 5.5.  I know the content that I want to cover, I know that I want to record more audio explanation than text on screen and I plan on having quiz slides.  What I am finding time consuming is finding images or "things" just to place on the slides.  Does Captivate 5.5 come with any standard images that perhaps I don't realize I have?  Or can you point me to a resource?  I don't have Photoshop so I really need things I can just grab and insert onto the slides.  Thanks in advance

Created text entry fields for User Name, Company etc. to use the entries as variables later.Exported as HTML5.Application will be used with tablets.Problem: With the Chrome Browser (wich has to be used in this case) the screen keyboard does not appear reliable when touching the text-entry-field.What I noticed:- When it works with the first, it works with all other text entry fields on the same screen.- Clicking in the address bar of the browser seems to get the screen keyboard on for nearly sure and it then stays (or comes up) also for the text entry fields in the captivate-Screens.This is not exacly the same as the question here -> how to have tablet keyboard display when user taps text entry box , because in my case sometimes it works.
