Captivate

I have created a drag and drop interaction. The interaction is set for when correct answers are made then it advances to the next slide. The interaction works fine, then when I relocate the drop targets to another area on the slide because I am switching up the design on the slide, one of the drop targets disappears every time it hits the correct target. If I relocate the target back to the original position it still works fine. The size and snap location and everything remains the same. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar to this?

2018-02-21_14-29-22When I click the Assets link on the Toolbar, then click "Get Free eLearning Assets" it will not accept my Adobe logon. I also tried the link for New Account, but when entering my email address, it says this email is already used by a member.

I have tried to download my video multiple times and when I upload it to the website,  My video needs to be in HD format and it is perfered to be mp4.  My video needs to be at least 720px. How do I set the perameters for this?Also, my audio is messed up when I publish it to a mp4. It is off sync.  Thanks for any help!

This microphone works in other applications and it does calibrate in Captivate but when attempting to record in Video Demo mode it isn't recording.  Anyone else having similar problems on an idea?Thank you,Susan

Hey, We're trying to figure out if this is possible to do.Is it possible to have a Ajax call out of Captivate, and send data to a database for another Captivate project to use?I've used some internal javascript and jquery in Captivate, but I haven't tried to to have it call out to bring in data or send it out before.The idea is, that the Captivate courses will get used on Adobe Connect. The plan is to export them as ACII, so they can be view able in HTML instead of SWF.Hoping we'll be able to track the users' different scores from the different courses.

Thank you in advance.I have several servers (Windows 2008 and 2012) were IE 10 or 11 will not run the presentation. I just sis there and it just a swirl. Now the funny thing is on clients it works on IE, Firefox, and chrome. Has anyone had any issues with this? Thank you in advance!!

Has anyone seen this before?The state view button disappears on some objects, but not all. I still see the various states for the object in the advanced actions I created to change them, and they still work when I test. The only way I can edit the states is if I restart Captivate and clear cache before opening the project.  I've applied the update and still have the issue.Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hello! I'm curious if there's an optimal project size in Captivate 9 to use when presenting a course that will be displayed onto a large screen for a presentation. I built the course at 1280 x 720 with several different .mp4 videos embedded at that same size. It looks great on my Macbook, but I just want to make sure it will scale properly for the much larger screen. I'm using Captivate 9 and the course is a Blank course. Any suggestions on how I can ensure the best possible quality?Thanks in advance for all your help!

I've read through several threads trying to find a workaround or answer to this, but still can't get it figured out.I'm working on a course that will be HTML5 only, as it will only be taken on iPads. Note that I've chosen not to make it responsive because I only need one size. I'm running into issues with motion path effects when I preview in browser or publish and preview in the LMS. In this example, I have a PNG graphic that is supposed to move along a motion path to a few different points on the slide.The effect starts with no problem, but then the effect freezes, as does the timeline. I don't have any pauses in any of the objects (yet). I've also included the timeline. I'm used to publishing SWFs, so HTML5 is kind of new territory for me. Wondering if anyone knows of any settings to check, or any workarounds.Thanks in advance.

...Hello !...In a previous post, I said I managed to drag and rotate the same object, using JQuery's codes.But I still have problems as you can see in the example below with the dragging (the cursor doesn't stay in the middle of the drag object, and I didn't manage to put the drag object in the front... so it's still far from perfect... )http://soutien67.fr/math/activites/tangram/Tangram_03/index.html By the way, I also realized that I can't do this if there is an image behind the draggables ? Hello,I'm trying to export (or share, I guess) this project. However, every time I try to do so, the audio never makes the transition. The first time there was no sound, the second time there was a banshee screech (which I did not record) and then no sound. Every time after that, there's just been this electric clicking sound. This is even after rebooting the application as well as my computer.We recorded the audio with a plug-in desk mic, and all of the audio is available in edit mode. Just not when it's published Let me know if I'm missing some setting, or if there's anything I can do to fix this.Also, the Contact Us message box kept giving me an error when I tried send this message, so I tried to track down the support team's email address. After getting a hold of someone over the phone and getting an address out of them, I sent off all this information in a separate email...only to get an undeliverable message.  Trying to get help for this has been a real pain.Here's the addit

Is it possible to have an animation such as FadeZoomIn start from a corner of the object?  For example I'd like to have a speech bubble (text caption with a tail) grow from the lower left corner of the object bounding box rather than from the center.

I've tried updating my profile image several times and it displays in my profile, but not on comments/testimonial posts etc.  It's smaller than 8 MB and I've tried it as jpg and png, but it still just shows the white avatar instead of my image.  Any recommendations about what I need to do to fix it?

I'm interested in adding note-taking functionality to all my courses by default. I have a few questions about the Notes interaction for Captivate.1) The interaction as-is presents some serious usability problems, mainly the fact that if you click the X it actually deletes the note rather than just closes it, which is terrible design. Typically when you see a pop-up window with an X, you assume you are merely closing the pop-up, not necessarily deleting its contents. Could this be easily modified so that the interaction maintains all captured notes automatically through the entire course, ditching the Save icon and changing the X so that it merely toggles the notes pop-up closed without deleting its content?2) Has anyone successfully integrated the Notes interaction into a player skin? Ideally what I'd like to see is a Notes button somewhere on the skin that opens a notes pane that can be left open across multiple screens/slides and closed/reopened at any point while retaining all previ

Hallo. Since yesterday it is not posssible to open my Captivate 9. When I try to open it it shows a fatal error and wants to archive everything in a project file with the ending .cpbackup.Does anybody know how I can solve the prblem?Thank you.

If I write a while conditional action, does it only execute while I am on that particular slide?So if I have a while 1==1, increment var, will it only increment my var while I am on the slide from which the action was triggered? And not continue to increment during the whole project?  If so, why does it behave this way? While should be while the condition, not "until I leave this slide", no?Thanks, Lori

I have a slide with an on enter action. I've tried an advanced action and now for testing I just have it increment a variable.When I jump back to this slide from itself (i.e. I'm on slide 2 and I jump to slide 2 from a button via an advanced action), the slide rewinds to the beginning but does not run the onEnter behavior - it doesn't increment my variable.Why is this and does it make sense?I've tested in both CP9 and CP2017. When you finish the quiz and review it, shouldn't it show quiz review captions? I have the option checked under quiz options, but it doesn't show the quiz review captions, just the markers to let you know whether you got them right or wrong.

Now that there are some comments, I can see also the actual comments.So far so good.My question is. Is there a way to change the titles of the comments (in red in the image)?It may be something from the LMS, but maybe not...Thanks in advance.B

I have added a text entry box to a slide to capture the learners name that I would like to have reported back to Adobe Connect when I run the reports.I have chosen Validate User Input, using varUserName as the variable. I want it to free text entry to capture the learners name. I have checked the Reporting  include in quiz checkbox and have used Advanced interactions.But when I view the report in the published project Adobe Connect shows nothing. Can anyone help please?

I'm developing a quiz for retail pricing practice.For example:  Participants are shown a picture of an item e.g. lawnmowerThey have to decide what the price of the lawnmower should be.There isn't anywhere to say a certain answer is worth so many points.  It only allows me to enter correct answers... but not the points they are awarded depending on their answer.I would like points to be awarded as follows:$250 = 3 points$225 - 249 = 2 points$200 - 224 = 1 pointI have it set up as a short answer question, but now I'm stuck.Do I have to list each individual price separately?$250 - 3 points249 = 2 points248 = 2 points247 = 2 points246 = 2 pointsetc. etc.  and if so, how do I set the points to be awarded?I hope you can help!ThanksAbs

I'm trying to help a client publish a very basic presentation. Just slides and a quiz.  It keeps crashing during publish, OR when the quiz comes up you can't click on it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've spent a ton of time trying and rebuilding. Its a single 5 question quiz with unlimited attempts on each question. It comes at the very end of the presentation. It shows all the feedback and won't let me I created the quiz by clicking Manage quiz, then click add question.

I'm working on a responsive project in Captivate 2017 and having some issues with a web object housing a youtube video URL appearing.I have the web object set to 'hide' with an on enter action for the slide and then a click box button that has an action to 'show' the web object. However when I clickthe click box, the web object does not appear.I originally had this slide set up the same way with a normal embedded video, but the embedded video is so slow on mobile devices, often times it won't appear at all. I thought maybe using a web object would help 'lighten' the file size and improve playback speeds.I have a couple of other objects set to 'show' upon clicking my click box as well, and they do appear like they are supposed to - it's only the web object that doesn't show up and it doesn't appear in preview mode or in the published project file.Any help/advice would be much appreciated.Here's a screenshot of my clickbox in the timeline and it's advanced action -And here's a screenshot

I just wanted to verify whether or not there is support for Presenter 11.1 and Office 365 before I try to install it.I see the tech specs say Office 2010, 2013, and 2016 but that is not necessarily conclusive that it will not work with 365.Thanks.
