Captivate

Hi! To preface, I am new to Captivate and elearning and using Captivate 2019 currently. I have an elearning course for SCORM 1.2 that doesn't have any type of quiz. Each slide consists of a different video and then the Full Course slide will prompt a user to watch the full video and once they reach the end a certificate button will pop up. The only Java script I have is to print the certificate once they get to that point. Any ideas on why that error pops up when using the course from the client LMS but doesn't show up when testing on SCORM Cloud? Below is a debug log from SCORM Cloud. Now that Adobe has stopped using Adobe Flash Player, can anyone tell me how I can publish my Captivate files and run them through a Sharepoint site? I used to publish them and then place the .swf file into Sharepoint to play them. HELP! 

Using Captivate 2019. Can you change the name of index.html in the publishing or export options? So it would be Training.html or something similar? Thanks!

Hi all,I recently installed Captivate 2019 and tried creating my first VR project, but I don't have the option to add 360 videos or images to the slide. It's just a blank white background. Any ideas?Cheers,Lloyd

For years, I avoided using rollovers due to their Flash-based animation. (I felt that the rollover effect could have been handled with CSS but that feature wasn't updated in Captivate.)   Now, in Classic, they work when previewing in HTML5, however, I still get the "not supported" dialog box and they are listed in the HTML5 Tracker panel.    Can anyone explain why? (I searched the forums and google to no avail.)

Dear Adobe Support,I am writing to seek help with an issue I have been experiencing with Adobe Captivate 2019's Audio Speech Management feature. Specifically, I am having trouble generating audio in Chinese using the Text-to-Speech feature.I attempted to use the Chinese speaking agent to generate audio in Chinese but received an error message stating that the text-to-speech could not be generated. I was only able to generate audio in English. I would appreciate it if you could advise me on how to address this issue so that I am able to generate audio in Chinese as well.Thank you for your time and assistance.Best regards

Hi I am using all-new Captivate v 12.2.0.19I am setting up a quiz using the multiple choice question slide. It seems that it is not possible to switch off the success and failure captions. I hope I'm wrong...The caption checkbox in the components section is greyed out and the show/hide button does not effect the outputMany thanks in advance for any input on thisM

Hey Captivate Community!  Is there a community or thread for people to share their custom design options? I attended the Custom Design session at the Adobe Learning Summit and have played around a bit with custom designs. It would be great to have a place to share ideas/creations. 

I just clicked on the clear cache in the preferences and it deletes all of my work folders with all of my project that I did not have open. Not just the cache files and folders. It also deleted all of the reference files and images that I had associated with those project. I did not know that Captivate would delete ALL of my file and I can not find them to retrieve that. Is this something new? Why didn't it just delete the cache files?Michael

Hi all! I have downloaded Captivate for work but I keep getting a problem report when opening the application. Below is part of the message I recieve when trying to open. HiI have a character with two poses. I want one to be 'normal' and the other (duplicate image) 'visited'. The 'visited' needs to be greyscale. However when I apply a greyscale image filter to the visited pose the 'normal' pose also goes to greyscale.I think it should be possible to have one greyscale and the other not but I cannot make it happen!I have tried swapping to another pose image from the 'assets' for the visited pose. This works in that different image is accepted by Captivate but the greyscale filter still appears across both poses if applied.I hope I have explained the problem clearly.Thanks in advance for any ideas

The "Continue button" in The Quiz Results slide does not work when testing the publish file and locally and offline through latest Chrome browser. However, it works when testing through "Preview". Any insights on this?  Slide:   Error: 

Hi! I recently downloaded Adobe Captivate (2023) through the free trial option, and I'm unable to save any edits, whether it be through a template or with a new project. It shows the loading icon indefinitely and I eventually have to force quit the app.  Is this because I haven't purchased the subscription to Captivate? I don't want to buy the subscription and still have this error occur.  

We are experiencing difficulties with setting the completions at all slides viewed. Completions aren't firing if the learner advances before listening to the full audio or if they happen to skip slides. Is it possible to put a trigger in a Captivate course that gives the completion at the start of the audio on the last slide in the course? Thanks!

Is it necessary to clear browser cache before each time Captivate HTML file loads viewing it offline and online? If so, why?  

Hi, I'm trying to apply a preset theme to my images. When I select Project Properties > Edit Theme > Image, select an Image Present, then click Apply, then add a new image, the image doesn't not appear using the preset theme because the preset theme that I chose wasn't saved. I know it wasn't saved because when I go back into the Project Properties > Edit Theme > Image menu, the default normal Image Preset is selected instead of the image preset that I chose. How do I get the image preset to save? See screenshot. Please help. Thanks!

Hallo seit dem Release der neuen Version ist es mir nicht mehr möglich meine Projekte über meinem Server im web zu öffen. Mit der vorherigen Version, heute Captivate Classic, funktioniert es weiterhin problemlos. Was sind die Anforderungen an den Server oder noch wichtiger hat jemand einen Tipp für mich um das Problem zu beseitigen?  Ich bin mir ziemlich sich, dass es an der index.html liegt, das file is nahezu leer. Hello everyone, I have updated Moodle to version 4.3 and suddenly none of the SCORM activities done with Captivate are recorded as completed, even though it had worked in the previous version.In the Moodle forums they talk about a possible Moodle bug in the Moodle 4.3 version that may be causing these problems. My client informs me that in courses prepared with Articulate he does not have these problems.Does anyone know anything about this or have a solution?Thank you

I feel like I am almost certainly being dumb here, because surely this is a basic function of any software, but I am just testing out the new Captivate and have accidentally added a media block to an existing slide and I now cannot for the life of me find the option to remove just that media block. I can delete the entire slide but that isn't what I want to do... I have tried right clicking in all sorts of areas including the timeline and have Googled it to no avail. Can someone please put me out of my misery and explain where I am going wrong here? Thank you.

I have 2 circles on the slide and added the "rotate to" effect to each circle. When I play the slide, or preview the project, both circles behave correctly. When I publish the project as mp4, one circle behaves correctly and the other circle moves backwards. Any suggestions? 

I've updated to the latest version of captivate and it came up with this error code attached. I unistalled it and reinstalled it to see if this resovled the solution which them came up with erorr code 103, i've tried multiple times to download and still comes up with the error code. I've restrated my PC as well and this hasn't helped either  Any help would be great?

There are a lot of policies linked in our old Captivate Classic courses and I've been tasked with getting our first course in Captivate 23 up live and running. I can struggle through most of the other barriers, but so far I'm not finding a solution to this one. A way to embed a pdf would be a good alternative? TIA!

I have a customer who wants to be able to download her eLearning onto her own computer and complete it. Unfortunately, this doesn't work.  When she opens the index.html file, the browser tries to download pngs and cannot find them. On a web server, the eLearning works fine.  When the eLearnings is served from a web server, the pngs are transformed into data:images at some point and the browser downloads these instead.My two questions are:1. Is this behavior to be expected?2. If not, how can I get it to run locally?  If so, how do I explain the fact that the modules cannot be run locally and must be served from a web server?Thanks for any help!!
