I am a newbie to Adobe Captivate and would like to know whether there is a text-to-speech functionality available and where to find it. If available, what is your experience with the quality of voice/ pronounciation especially of subject matter terminology? Thank you in advance for your hints and for sharing your experience.

I am using Adobe Captivate 11 and I created a quiz question with 4 hotspot choices. TWO of those choices are correct, and three others are incorrect. If a user selects the correct two choices and also selects any of the other wrong choices, the SCORM reporting still shows the answer as "CORRECT". In reality, the question should have been flaged as incorrect. Therfore, it appears that as long as the two correct choices are made, any other selections are not recognized as incorrect. If this is true, then the best strategy for multiple hotspots is to select ALL possible choices to guarantee a correct answer. Is this a bug in the Captivate 11 program? Has anyone experienced this issue?

I took a quiz in Captivate classique responsive and which allows infinite attempts and it is working perfectly. When exiting, go to the next slide without any problems. However, when you go back to the presentation and enter the quiz again, it is completely blocked, not allowing you to answer again or leave the quiz. What am I doing wrong. Will it be some formatting? Thanks 

Hello, I am wanting some elements to fade it after a few seconds of the slide appearing. I set an entrance animation of fade, add a delay of a few seconds, however when the slide enters, the element is immediately visible and after the delay, it does the fade animation. This seems totally pointless and not an actual entrance animation? How do I get the element to hide before the entrance animation? I vaguely remember there being a setting on Captivate Classic.  Thanks in advance! 

Hello, 1) How to set a countdown timer for the captivate slides(Not Quiz).2) It should start when the audio is playing and stop when the audio is stopped.3) The Countdown timer should display the time duration taken by the slide to complete.4) And on revisiting back to the slide the completed countdown timer should not count again as it has already counted the time duration. So no counting on revisit. 5) How to write a Advanced action for that?

Is there a way to lock the aspect ratio of a whole project in the new Adobe Captivate release? When I publish projects that formatting changes whenever I resize my screen. In a similar vein, is there a way to change the project size to a custom specification? Currently I only have generic size options for monitor, tablet or phone.

How can we effectively design a web layout using Adobe Photoshop that can be easily communicated to a web developer for implementation?

My new Captivate continues to "not respond" and I have to force the app to close where I lose my work if it is not saved immediately. WHat is the fix for this?

I'm having a "come and go" problem with the Properties.  Using Adobe Captivate Classic, v. 11.8.2.254.I create a smart shape and type text in it.  When I highlight the text to change color, font, size, etc., those options do not show up in the "PROPERTIES" window, like this:But it doesn't happen all the time.  Sometimes it works fine.  Sometimes it starts working after a time, and sometimes it will work when I save, close and re-open the project.  (But none of thos have fixed it at the moment.)When it doesn't work, it doesn't work on "any" smart shape, but when it does work it works on everything.Parenthetically, I tried createing a text entry box, and for that type of object the character options appear.  I'm guessing it has to be a bug, because it's not a consistent situation.  But hoping someone might have a solution for me.Thanks.

We record our product release training session as one mp4 file. We're trying to find out if we upload to Captivate, can we split into topics and save as seperate videos?

Hi, I am wanting to deploy Adobe Captivate 2019 and the latest version side by side. The reason being is because we have around 18 users who have a lot of Adobe Captivate Project files in the 2019 file format which has now changed in Adobe Captivate 2023. The issue I have found is that we want to package Adobe Captivate 2019 and deploy it to the 18 users so they are able to use this version alongside the later Adobe Captivate 2023. Our users here are all Named User License (Subscription users). Adobe Captivate 2019 is no longer available to be packaged with Adobe Creative Cloud Packager and the only version available to download is a web installer version which does not appear to be an enterprise installer. Can any let me know how I can package and deploy Adobe Captivate 2019 to multiple computers. Please bare in mind our users are Named User License users and not Serial key license users. Thanks

I am using Captivate 11. I imported a bunch of questions in a question pool, saved my project, and closed it. Now, when I open my saved project, I want to go back to the view where I can see all the slides from the imported question pool. How can I do that?  I know that I can go to question pool manager and edit individual slides, but that is very time consuming. I would like to see all the slides in the question pool and click on the one I want to edit.  This is similar to an older post for Captivate 6, but the solution does not work on Captivate 11. This blog post also didn't work for me.

I want to remove "anywhere or press 'y' to continue", and use a "Continue" button to go to the next slide instead. Anybody can help?  Many thanks!

I'm building a course for my employer. It's my first time using Adobe Captivate CLASSIC. I've tried watching many youtube videos but can't seem to find the answer I need. I have a slide with 3 buttons, once those buttons are clicked a pop up takes over the screen and provides the user with the information intended. User can then click the cross in the corner to exit, and go into the next button/pop up with information. I need help figuring out how to make it so user must click all 3 buttons to then proceed onto next slide. ( continue button is currently set to appear after a certain amount of time in hopes user with use that time to click on the buttons) Continue/Next button will show once all other buttons are clicked. For some reason i can't access 'Change state of' in advanced actions either? I'm new to learning all this but usually a quick learner once explained properly.Any help is greatly aappreciated.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rkQB_HZ2S8&nbs

Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue between Captivate 19 Scorm courses and 1Pad Air 4th Gen? We load the courses in our LMS (SumTotal) then open them in the mobile app so we can download them for users to watch in our low service areas. This used to work fine, but now we are having trouble getting all the images to load. When you open the training after downloading, it will spin for a bit then give a gray screen with a Loading error. Anyone else seen this?

Hello.I have a random shape (the square with bent corner) appearing on a slide that does not belone there. I cannot delete it.  It does not appear in the timeline.  I have tried replacing (copy and paste) the slide from another project and it reappears upon saving.  How do I remove this shape?  It continues to carry over when trying to replace the slide and it does not show in the filmstrip.  Have tried going out and back into Captivate as well. Thank you for any assistance.

Hello, I will keep this post to the topic at hand, while ahcknowledging Captivate 12 has much to be desired.  I would like to request with overlay interactions ie. Click to Reveal Widget, if you ONLY have the image element selected, it should expand to to take up the whole overlay. At the moment, if you only have the image element selected it remains in it's small allocation of space. It shouldbe responsive, and if there is no text, it should take up the whole overlay, and only revent to it's section once a text element is added back in. Also, images should be able to be converted to buttons/links. This is a standard feature in almost every other design product I've used. I know you can use a "button" and change its fill to an image, but, a) not the same; b) limited in sizing; & c) not every widget has a button element. Kind Regards, Thanks. 

I am a complete beginner, here. I would like to start using Adobe Captivate to publish interactive lessons to a very limited number of students.I would like to either have a very cheap webhosting service to host my files so that the students can access the interactive learning material, or use my router-connected hardrive (which has a static ip address that can be accessed from anywhere with a username and a password).The problem is, I don't even know how to look up for help on this issue or what key words to use for my search.Thank you for any input.

Using Captivate 12 I am getting a hangup right after the 'Match the column1' dropdown slide and a 'Multiple choice 2' slide. when testing on Scorm Cloud or Moodle it hangs just after displaying the content of the 2/2 slide and won't let the user select the answer.  I have even rebuilt this from scratch to see if the other file had a corruption in it and am getting the same effect on the rebuilt file. I suspect a faulty interaction between slides inherent to Captivate.

For clarity I'm seeing this on versions 12.0.0.2892 and 12.1.0.16 and it's been occuring since the official release. Here are some issues I've experienced:Frequently when importing my custom theme into a new project, Captivate tells me the theme is already imported but is very clearly not.I've tried exporting/importing my theme to/from both network drives and my desktop. I see the same random behavior regardless of save location.My best workaround at the moment is to just keep saving copies of existing courses with the correct theme and building new slides in there.There are elements that remain the default blue color regardless of a custom theme, e.g. Carousel progress dots and Flipcard icons. It appears to be Color 8 in the Color Configuration, and it would be ideal for these items to reflect whatever our theme Color 8 actually is.Since there's only one button customization option for buttons, certain widgets don't use the custom theme. See the Tab Widget as an example. The tabs use

Hi! I've just rebuilt our pre-2023 captivate courses in The All New Captivate however I can't find the feature of question pools anywhere. Has this feature been removed? Or am I missing something? Thanks!James

Is there a way to build a slide with text and only a single image, and customize the image size and placement without choosing a pre-set design? The text and image slide template only lets you have 2 or more images and there is no way to delete the image you don't want. The intro slide template lets you choose a design that forces the image into a specific specific shape, size, and location. Is there no way to add a single image, move it around, and size it to exact specifications? This seems like a huge oversight if so. Thank you!
