Hi Captivate community! This is my first post here, I am working on an E-Learning course with Captivate 11.8.2 (I'm happy to update once this course is done) Here is what I am trying to achive: A Drag&Drop Interaction with 8 drag targets and 8 drop zones. Each drop zone should only ever recieve 1 target (this works just fine). The user should only be abled to submit the interaction once - this does not work. The user can navigate back and forth through the course via buttons. Going back to a previous slide and coming back to the slide with the Drag&Drop always displays the "Submit" button for the Drag&Drop again. Here are my Drag&Drop Options:Here are my Drag&Drop Actions:Success / Failure messages are displayed via JavaScript. Hi everyone!I am trying to use the new 2023 release of Captivate for a software simulation. In Classic, I can add Click Boxes, which cause the slide to pause or not move on to the next slide until after the user clicks in that area of the screen. I can't figure out how to do this in the new Captivate. Is this still a feature?

Hello, I am using the newest version of Adobe Captivate. The font is uploaded to the Creative Cloud, I also have a version saved to my desktop. How do I get it to reflect within the new version?  Thank you!

We are pleased to announce that we have released Captivate 11.8.   This release is a subscription-only release.   You must have an active subscription of Adobe Captivate to use the build. If you do not have an active subscription, the new update will revert to a trial mode. If you have already used your trial, you will be unable to use the build.   If you create a project with build 11.5.5 (Win/macOS), the project shall open in build 11.8. I am really struggling with adding custom images. No matter what size of image I select Captivate zooms in on the image and it will not display the entire image. I also cannot figure out any way to resize the image. I can just move the window around to see another portion of the image. Right now, I am trying to change out the images on a card widget and there is no way to tell what the image is because it is zoomed in so much. How can I add my own images and still retain the entire image? 

Hello, so I am looking for some help if anyone has any answers or thoughts on this.  I have recently got V12 and it seems to be wildly inflexible compared to 11.8.  It doesn't seem like the flexibility is there to do any of the following:*have a banner across the top with a company logo in the left corner as have text in the right corner linking out to external pages. Ie. A help page. *have content in the body of the slide and then also have a list of buttons on either side that can act as a "navigational menu" for the purposes of jumping around the project as required in a "choose your own path" manner instead of linear progression (in the case where there is generalised content but some can be skipped by certain audiences) As well as some other things.  Am I missing something?  It looks like the main cause of the inflexiblity is the absence of verticle blocks and the ability the resize blocks freely.  Does anyone have any ti

I want to create a replay button that completely resets the quiz before jumping to the first slide. I've use suggestions from the forum and I found that the javascript command cp.resetQuizData(); in and advanced action effectively clears out any replies to the quiz questions. What it doesn't do is reset the value of cpInReviewMode. That means that if students review the quiz questions from the results screen, then decide to replay the course, they can't attempt the quiz questions again. I tried adding a line to the advanced action to assign a value to cpInReviewMode to reset it. Unfortunately, cpInReviewMode doesn't appear in the drop down list of variables that appears with the Assign function. Is there another way to reset the value of this variable?

Same as Subject, Can't type Korean in text box. The screenshot below, I typed '테스트(test in Korean)' between - and -, but it doesn't typed. It works at other text box, so it maybe only has problem at text box(block).And it also works at Captivate Classic. OS: Windows 11Captivate Version 12.1.0.16

I am having the swf error when I am trying to publish the file on my mac as video. I don't have any interaction (Variable) in the slides since this is going to be a video tutorial.  I already tried to publish by deleting the caches and also updated my mac, but its still keeps on throwing up the same error. Can anyone please provide a resolution to this issue.

My client is a faculty of a university. They use Captivate to create e-modules for part of the training.While going through a module, this sometimes seems to go completely well, but sometimes it doesn't. Hi GuysWhen I open project via index.html file I get a long loading message, and then voice-tags play on white blank screen.  Then for the next screen I get another 'loading' message.This has only just started happening with this project and I'm at my wits end.Can anyone offer any help to a non-technical person like me?

For thw fill in the blank activity in Captivate, when we are uploading the course in our LMS, we get a "?" mark instead of the chosen answer. Sharing a video & image for your reference, Kindly help with how the chosen answer is displayed.

Having had some time free of corrupted projects with the recent versions of CP 2019 and very much enjoying using it with the extra power that CPExtra and CPMate provide, this unwelcome experience appears to have returned with Captivate Classic. I have been trying to create some simple custom controls in a responsive project because the Playbar is unreliable on mobile devices. The difficulty in just trying to get a forward and back button to be the same dimensions is remarkable. Having achieved what I thought was going to work, I went to preview the last time and... it exits. The backup file does the same.  Not only that, but my PC goes to 100% CPU utilisation with multiple instances of CPCefHelper running in Task Manager. Turns out these are related to CP interacting with the CC app. Those previous memories of similar experiences of a few years ago came flooding back. The rescue procedure is to copy slides over in groups of five or so to try to find the offending corrupt

In captivate classic, can you import a CSV file to create KNOWLEDGE CHECKS? Currently I only seem to be able to create QUESTION slides, not KCs from the csv file. Thanks.  Lori

If you want to vertically centre the copy beside the image using the 'introduction slide single image option 3' version of the image component you need to include a button element.When you delete the button, the text pops up to the top edge of the image and has no vertical centering option. so if you keep the button on, but 'skip this element in screen reader' under accessibility, then take off all the colors from the appearance and uncheck the 'text' option, it will leave the element there, but have no actual 'button' and it keeps your text vertically centered beside the image.

I've searched the forms, Google, and have not found a resolution for my exact situation and I've been hacking away at it for several days and am all out of things to try, so I'm seeking your wisdom, advice, and hopefully, your solutions:  Version: Captivate 2019 build 11.8.2.216 on a Mac What's happening: I have a module with two "knowledge check" sections, the first has two questions, the second has four questions. I've created custom quiz questions that provide immediate feedback (custom message depending on answer, and incorrect or correct icon updates based on selection). Questions 1-5 function as expected...or at least satisfactorily: upon correct or incorrect answer, learner gets immediate feedback, advances to next slide on correct answer, can click anywhere to advance on incorrect answer after reading/listening to the feedback.  During testing, if I select incorrect answers on any question before the last one, the behavior is as expected. I'm having the issue where the background of my slide (set as optimized) is changing when I hit pause versus I hit play. I'm trying to add objects to time them correctly with my audio. However, when my video is paused and I'm editing it looks exactly how it should but when I hit play Captivate moves my background. I recorded a simulation but on this slide I didn't move the screen at all so I don't know why captivate is changing my background. Because it moves the image over to the side it throws off all of my objects. Help!

HiI have cleaned up my courses by getting rid of the play button in the beginning of the course. Is there also a way to change the grey loading screen that appears between some of the slides?Would be great if I could set a white 50% transparent image with my own loading gif, or something like that.

Good moring, all;  I have a colleague who is trying to add a .gif to several slides in a Captivate project. The idea is that when someone clicks a button a little .gif showing confetti plays. The advanced action she is using is very simple: on success of the button click, a shape disappears, a bit of text disappears and the confetti .gif plays. It works beautifully on the first slide, but then the .gif won't play on success of the button click on the second slide. We've tried everything we can think of (and were able to get it to work in a different program) so we're wondering if this is a glitch or if there is some reason Captivate won't let this happen or, of course, if we're missing something. Here are some shots of a very small test I've done, recreating her issue, to try very simply to get the .gif to play on the second instance, but to no avail. and attached is a small clip of what happens on the first and second slides (the .gif should appear on the second slide t

Ok, just realized that accessibility text written on an SVG doesn't actually show up in production. Has anyone else noticed this or had this issue? This is a huge problem for my assets. I'm going to have to redo so many assets in another tool if I want to use SVGs (and I do!).  If I replace the SVG with a PNG, it works.  Any suggestions if I still want to use SVGs? Matt

Hi,I have made a E-learning course on adobe captivate which contain a simple 40 slide. I do not want to show the playbar in the SCORM package when I hide the playbar it causes loading on startup and some of the assets are not showing and when I show the playbar it plays smoothly. please help me with this issue.

Hello all,     I recently discovered that I have still been getting charged for a Captivate subscription that I was supposed to have canceled after a previous job finished. I can't find my subscription to Captivate anywhere in my account. Can someone help me find where to cancel the subscription?Thanks in advance.
