I am trying to edit fin, a defualt charater. Please help...
Hi! I have a question!I'm practicing with a Ninja character. The part where the head is shared with the body (front, half side, complete side)It's weird, so I ask. When I drag my head from the project panel and put it on the body, the head goes into the body chest, as shown in the picture below. The front face is attached well to the neck. How can we make it put in the same position as the head of the front when dragging?
Okay, "ask and you shall receive." I was able to correct this error when I posted previously, but now it's Monday so of course it's beginning to give me errors in regards to the correction I was making - now nothing works. Here is a screencap of the repro requested:
Hi there! So i just upgraded my system from Windows 7 to Windows 10, primarily to be able to take advantage of character animator. I have downloaded the latest version, and it wont open from the Creative Cloud app, and when I attempt to open it manually, I get this error message: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). I attempted to download previous versions, only to receive the same message. I am running Windows 10 64 bit(2) Intel Xeon CPU's X5675 @ 3.07GHz, 3060 Mhz64 GB Physical memory160 GB Virtual MemoryNVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 card
Hi. How can I make my mouster to move its jaw with fang teeth above its muzzle. It's that posible?Didn't find any tutorials about it. Thanks
A short story: My granddaughter sent me a picture of some colouring in she had done and was very proud of. I thought it would be fun to animate it and use it to give her some ongoing encouragement. So my aim was to make producing videos simple. Here's the picture she sent me: and here is the end result: Process: Tidy the drawing in photoshop and cut it into layers for the various moving parts: Muzzle, nose, bone, head, torso, ears, tail. This video show the pieces and the depth ordering: So, how to make it easy to turn around videos quickly. I wanted to be able to provide the voice and do all the animating in one take without the use of triggers or so. Two things made this possible: The drawing of the dog had no eyebrows, so I used the eyebrows tag to animate the ears A dangle behaviour then seals a natural look. Secondly, I added a lower lip in addition to the nose/muzzle layer. See 3D video above.
I don't recall this happening prior. I then did the same thing in the regular versions of CH,AE, Me and it doesn't seem to have thse problems.
I checked both Versions they are the same. I also have Beta versions of the cloud installed.Iv'e been using a workaround to export, Does anybody know whats going on?
Hello, I am new at both Character Animator and Photoshop. I have a character with long hair and cannot figure out how to properly animate it for just a standard frontal view of the character. If I put the hair in the body folder in Photoshop, it doesn't move with the head. If I put it in the head folder, it is layered overtop the neck and chest. I have read that there is an achor tool that can fix this, but I can't find any tutorials or documentation on how to do it. Could you please direct me on what to do? Best,Cyndi
Hi, I updated Character Animator on Monday and planned to resume working where I left it, to my horror ALL my projects are 0KB This is weeks of work up in smoke - who can I escalate this to because I do this for work in my own company and this is a big blow timewise and finacially for me and my small company. The picture shows just some of my projects now zeroed out.

Hi, first of all, I wrote because I had a question to thank for the answer. The characters that I made in the Adobe Character animator. Can we extract it for the web?(Html)Or, can't we use it in conjunction with Adobe Animator CC? Now, it seems to be only compatible with After Effect or Premier. Please let me know if there's a way.
I am going too be 100% honest. I was running 3 programs at once. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Character Animator, and World of Warcraft. Both Adobe programs crashed on me while I was importing a puppet into CH. Since the crash, whenever I tried to re-open CH I would get an error telling me to update my gfx driver. Fine. I did. And it didn't help. Can someone please help me figure out how to solve this issue please?
When adding rigging to a puppets legs: I have the following layers (same for right leg) Left Leg -> Leg - artwork/path for leg Foot - artwork/path for footI'm having trouble with what layers to add the tags. So for Leg tags (hip, knee, ankle and sticks) do they go in the outer Left Leg layer or in the inner Leg layer (does it matter which)? For the Toe and Heel tags do they go in the Foot layer or the Left Leg layer?Last question, if I want the feet to stay fixed on the ground, do I add the Fixed (thumb tacks) to the foot layer, leg layer, or upper most character layer? Thanks,Robb
Having problem with hands warping when they are moved with drag handle. Instead of pointing in the direction the arm is moved its seems they are almost fixed in their direction so when you drag and arm points up, hand is wanting to stay pointing down. (see attached images) I have a feeling its that the origin of the hand is fixed to the wrong point but I can't figure out how to change it. Included is a a link to exported puppet file. Dear Adobe membersI just saw some tutorial here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOBM098PiAwfrom okay samurai, that tell me to use text transcript, instead of auto lip sync on Character Animator.but once I tried my own audio, the window parameter on the right side (record mode)just not appear what so ever.there's no such further information on the tutorial,so I'm a bit clueless here.please let me know for any hint I should do.Sincerely Yoursblossom cactus
On the character I'm rigging, I have blurred edges to cheek blushes (bitmap art from PS). As independent layers, the blushes are accurate. But I tried to follow Dave's "Stan" character, whose hair is attached to and moves with the nose (inside the Nose group). However, when moving the blush art into the Nose group in PS and then updating in CH, while everything looks as expected in Rig mode, the blurred edges of the artwork disappear in Record mode, leaving a hard edge. I tested out placing the blush in the Left Eye group, and the same effect ocurred. To further confuse things, the correct blurred edges return when I raise the opacity of the art in CH about 5% or more (it's normally 15%).
Hello all, I've been unablet to open a fairly large CH file and keep getting errors like the attached. I've seen a few other posts regarding this issue in CH but I've tried all the workarounds with copying the 252 data from the SQL file and updating the master but nothing has worked for me. This is a fairly large project and it would be a huge let down if there is no sort of recovery process on Adobe's end. I made a copy of the project folder before I started messing around with the above, so hopefully someone will be able to help/point me in the right direction. Please help! Thanks.
I need help with how i can move two characters with adobe characters in the same scene like doing conversation ?
Hi, the camera is laggy when it goes through Character Animator. I can see it's slower than usual and it is also laggy compared to the charater in general. The most obvious result is the lip sync being completely unusable. Are there any settings I can use? I might missing something. (my computer has the basic requirements)
Soon after starting Character Animator I get the following error: CaptureFrame has size less than 640x480.When I click ok it pops back up and wont go away until I force quit the app. I am on a mac pro with a radeon 5600xt screen resolution 3440 x 1550. Any ideas?
After working in Character Animator for awhile the top pull down menus won't stay down when I click on them. They flash open and close and will only stay open if I hold down the left mouse button while clicking. This might be tied to a problem I have when editing my puppet in Illustrator: it won't allow me to create subfolders (the button is grayed out). hi guys,This is just an issue that I had and found the answer after some digging. Also a request for the Adobe team, maybe they can address it.When I name a layer in Photoshop "Left Pupil Range", Character Animator automatically tags this layer as "Left Pupil" and "Left Pupil Range".Tagging as both causes a weird behaviour when warping the pupils. In this case, you have to select the "Pupil Range" layer and uncheck the "Pupil" tag.Well, I hope it makes sense. Thanks!
I've tried using the different alpha encoders such as Quicktime/GoPro Cineform RGB 12bit with alpha to export my animation with a transparent background, but my windows computer says it's not supported when I go to watch it. I need to be able to make this animation transparent. Can anyone help?
The question is asked in the video.
