I am going to be hiring a freelance animator and will be sending them a Character Animator Project for them to use. Is there any way to make it so they are not able to steal my puppet? Thanks
So I'm very new to adobe character animator, and I'm creating my first puppet. I've managed to get the lip synch and facial tracking down, but my next step was to create draggable points. I added to draggable points on the hands and used sticks to ensure the arms move like bones, but when I drag the puppet the entire drawing moves. Ill recorded a video of what I mean but don't know how to post it here.
Hello! So I just bought Animator's Tool Bar and I cannot find it even after searching through the extension tab in PS. I tried to download it as a .zxp file but Adobe says I cant access my it in order to download because I am unathorized even though I have just bought it and still have my receipt. I just want to animate soon but the creative cloud doesn't even show my newly bought tool. I don't know what to do (;-;) Please help!
Hello to the knowledge base,I have a puppet workflow question that probably pertains only to me. But any idea's, suggestions, or guidelines are welcome.Given my physical and vision limits I need to do some out of the box thinking on my first puppet.Workflow IS: all audio used will be pre recorded. All puppet movements, expressions, gestures must be mouse or keyboard triggered. The use of a webcam is not possible. Some where in one of okay samurai vedio's. I know he explained, to have a tighter control, mouse, and triggers is the way to go. I need to make sure this workflow correct and be done. I plan on using this procedure for: head - (frontal, turns L&R, up & down), eyes+, mouth expression(smile, angry, surprise, boredom, and others), body, hands -( about 20 different ones), and lip sync. Thank you all for taking time to read this request.
Does anyone know of a way to take a recording, either in Character Animator or once the video has been put into Premiere Pro...if the image can be duplicated but from a mirror of the image? So if the video is of a person looking to the left, the mirrored recording would be looking to the right. [Moved from Community Help (which is about the forums) to a better forum... Hello fellow artists,'If possible, I need to get hold of the audio transcriptions for the character animator tutorials shown on you tube. Having watched all of them, it would help me to understand them better, if I had a written copy to highlight the really important sections when rewatching them.Any help or guidance given will be greatly appreciated.thank you
I have a puppet who will be drumming. My setup is:Body Right Arm Right Arm Ride 1 2 3 Right Arm Crash Right Arm Snare So, independent arm groups in the body group. Layers within each that animate the arm movement for the specific drum or cymbal. My first layer is the same as my last, so the arm goes to the drum/cymbal and returns. I did it this way as I was having all kinds of problems with the Cycle Layers/Forward and Reverse option. The cycle layers behavior is set for each group except the Right Arm group as it only contains one layer which I use as the default arm position. In the triggers panel, I have a swap set containing each of the arm groups. I have also created a trigger for each arm group separately. The trigger letter for Right Arm Snare, for example, is the same for both the trigger and swap
The .chproj is named properly the same as the parent folder. I import via menu OR drag in the .chproj and neither work. It shows me my one scene to choose, I choose it and the little preview window shows all black. Then I hit OK to import the CH scene and it is made up as color bars. The .chproj works perfectly fine in CH but does not display in AE.
Hi, My issues is that when I'm in Adobe Character Animator 3.0 (2020) and I export a scene to Adobe Media Encoder, Media encoder automatically makes the export setting "GoPro CineForm RGB 12-bit with alpha." When I try and adjust that, it gives me the message: "Could not read source. Please check the settings and try again." When I try and export as is, the export fails immediately. I've tried this with and without alpha and both fail. Any ideas on how to fix this? Some additional information if it helps:I am using a MacBook Pro 10.15.1 (all up to date)2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i716 GB 1600 MHz DDR3AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB Graphics I have installed Premiere, Adobe Media Encoder, After Effects, and Character Animator 2020 (and un-installed and re-installed them). I've restarted my computer multiple times. I've cleared all my cache. I've uninstalled all the older versions of Adobe products. Tha
Here is my current, so called, "workstation": Processor: AMD A8-7680 (4 Cores, 4 Threads)RAM: 4GB DDR3HDD: 160GB (Yes, it is not SSD)No dedicated Graphic Card Yes, I know it's not the best workstation to playwith, but I have around $200 to ease the pain. Which is better to do, upgrading the RAM to something like 16GB, or add a dedicated GPU instead? And if GPU, what GPU should work the best? Thank you!
So here's the thing:I have:1. Direction Front (The Body and Bottom facing to the front)2. Direction Right (The Body and Bottom facing to the right side of the character) I put the two layers inside a Swap Set and have the Direction Front layer as the default, which means the Direction Right layer is now hidden until I trigger it.In the Direction Right layer, I have an arm which I rigged with sticks and draggable points, like usual. And so is the same with the Direction Front layer, which is obvious of course, hehehe. When I do some dragging with the Direction Front layer, the draggable area in the Direction Right layer is also dragged. How to make hidden layers undraggable without deleting the draggable points? Thank you!
Hi, I have version 3 of charater animator installed. And I have 2 puppets that before they did the lipsinc perfectly, but suddenly they don't do it anymore. I have see the microphone works perfectly, even the character animator mic indicator shows it, but the puppets don´t move their lips at the same time that I speak. I have checked all the mouths are correctly placed and I don't know what to do to fix this problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you very much for your time.
My puppet does a downward slump when it begins to walk. I've checked all of my tags and moved some around but can't get around the problem. Also, when I select "run" the legs really get crazy so I'm doing something wrong but can't quite figure it out.
What am I doing wrong? The auto attachment is on as well so what gives. I've placed the "origin" in all different positions but no luck. Please assist and thanks.
I'm using shareable option for the heads of my characters. but now I am facing the problem that after every change of the AI-File the information about the position of shareable parts gets lost and I need to position them again. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Need info on importing character audio takes. When I import .wav files created in Audition, Ch closes before audio is analyzed for lip sync. I've tried this over and over and over again. I've followed all tutorials I can find on the subject. What the heck am I doing wrong. Recording from timeline works perfectly as a side note.
Hi Character Animator Team!I love the new features and I really like to work with this software.I have a new project: I want to animate a group of dringking glasses , they will dance to music. The glasses are the heads and they have liquid inside. I applied a dangle behavior to the liquid, so the liquid can bounce around inside the glass when it moves. I also appiled a clipping mask to the liquid, so it only is visible inside the glass. But the glass ist semi-transparent, so the mask is visible behind the glass-layer. Any idea to solve this problem?RED is the clipping maskGREEN is the liquidPSD file:CH puppet:recorder window: (I want the red mask to be invisible)Kind regards!Christian
Magents from layers that are hidden still affect other magnets. You would expect that if you hide a given layer with a magnet tag, it would no longer have an affect on other magnet-tagged layers/handles, but they do. As a workaround, I've had to clone the puppet and turn off the magnets on the hidden layers, which is less than ideal.
Hi; I am brand new to Character Animator. I've designed a puppet, and I thought I'd followed all the rules, however, the eyebrows are moving sideways instead of up and down. I can't for the life of me figure out why or how to fix it. Help, please!
pretty self-explanatory problem. I would like my head to not morph around the 2 points it seems to be morphing around. on the frontal view, they show up on my fox's right cheek and left eye.
