OMG...1st selected audio play very well....however the second mp3 is not played as belowit seems fine but there is no soundI replace several times but can't figure out
Currently working on a character (specifically a cat) and curious if there is a better way to set up characters in general. Mainly for the legs/arms, is it better to have separate layers (one for the foot, one for the shin, and and one for the thigh) nested within a general layer (ex. leg, arm) or is it better to have them combined (ex one shape)? Or maybe even just grouped? Right now I have them in the same folder but different layers, which seems to get a bit messy when trying to add handles but maybe I am just not doing it right. Secondly, any tips on rigging animals for walking? I linked the handles based on actual anatomy and the results are a bit horrific hahaha
This may or may not be off the wall.... I am interested in making videos. My videos would include me and cartoon characters with me.Equipment I have- Camera, lighting, greenscreen, Adobe Photoshop cc, and hope I am allowed by saying this...I do have PowerDirector, which I am more than happy to replace with an Adobe productI want to create characters that would interact with me...with music at times. Movable bodies mouths the possibly lip sync to either music or different voices, etc... and then record myself against a greenscreen and then bring my characters into the mix.Ive seen lots of videos (youtube) and here on Adobe.com, but I may just be getting info overload but I seem to be totally confused. Is there anyone that can see what I am looking to do and give me a direction to start?I hope I was able to explain it some....but that is the basics.TIA to all,Ken
Hello everyone! I'll try to be as detailed as possible about my set up here: I've both watched and read multiple tutorials, I'm thinking I jumbled the information together? Haha I'm unsure what happened here...Anyway, I am specifically trying to have my characters original eyes disappear to play a 6 framed eye cycle when she blinks. I'm trying to have it happen at the push of a button, but if possible I would prefer her to play the cycle when I blink. She has no pupil or eyelid to move, her eyes are each each drawn on their own flat lair.I'm wanting her to look at the same spot 24/7 anyway. This is my current set up, if anyone has any idea what to do I would love any advice. Thank you!
I do not yet have Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Character but want to know if I can create an animated character (movement, facial expressions, etc) of something other than a person? For example, a tree with a face and eyes and can move its mouth to speak.
Hi,When I import a background image in Character Animator, the color of my puppet changes. I can't figure out why.
So, I've seen this brought up many times, still (after days of trying everything I can think of) I can't seem to figure out why feet don't stay fixed and why my puppets whole body moves with my head. It's probably something super simple and obvious, but I'm banging my head up against the wall at this point. I've attached a couple of screenshots that may or may not be helpful to the resolution. Thanks.
I'm having a problem with my character's hip that pulls to the right when I move its left arm. I can't seem to figure out how to prevent this. I tried adding a fixed anchor on each side of the hip, but it still pulls. I'm wondering if the bounding box of the arm overlaps the hip, is that what's causing it? How do I prevent this?
I saved my character. Closed out Character Design, wrote my script and when I came back to my character he looks like a test pattern
I've watched and read the debugging blog and video and its not stray pixels as my pupils and eyeballs are vectors. It was working fine this week and now out of nowhere the eyes are acting crazy.
So this is a question for advanced users. I'm trying to build a puppet with two heads sharing the same body. Is it possible? Please give me a hint on how to set this up. I know there should be a way to have two separate head tags but I can't find it. Here is what I mean. I wish to arm and disarm behaviors for each to be able to control it and to look like one puppet. Please help...

HelloCan someone explain how to stop the shadow at the feet of the walking character (separate layer in Ai) bouncing up and down with the character's movements? I have tried putting numerous pintools in the shadow but it does not stop it going up and down. ThanksGeoff Axon
Hello so I have been working on this cartoon animated series for about a month now, I am finally ready to go all characters up and running scenes etc. It is my first time using CH but I have good knowledge of photoshop. When I render the video and export to premier pro to do some panning etc when I zoom in the video appears pixelated, I exported it as 1080p the scenes and characters are all huge and I have scaled them down to fit, this is really frustrating I feel like its one set back after another can I please get some help.Claire
When I rig one arm and move it, the other arm moves however we want it to remain stationary. Also would like legs to pin down, however they do not stay put. Any assistance is appreciated.
When I record a take I am not hearing the audio that I have imported to the scene and computed lip sync to. There are important audio cues that I need to listen for as I record a take for facial feature movements.I made sure the audio output in preferences is set to my listening device and I've tried both having lip sync armed and disarmed. Neither produce audio while recording.
Hi Current I am facing this problem, and couldn't find something online regarding it.So I accidentally have the head in the wrong place.Current:Ideal:But when I move it, I will lose a lot of settings in Adobe Character Animator, Is there a better solution, then to start all over new?Current:After the change:
HelloI want my Ch puppet to walk for several seconds along a row of shops in Ae. Depending on how various menu items are set, such as stride length and body speed etc., the puppet exits the stage after about 5-6 seconds, and in Ae it just disappears after this time. Is there a way of, so to speak, increasing the width of the walk cycle stage to let the puppet walk longer in Ae? Also, I have noticed that if I press the stop record button before it exits the stage, in Ae it just keeps walking till it reaches a duration of the above 5-6 seconds and then disappears, so it is not possible to freeze his stature at the desired time. If anyone can suggest any alternatives I would be very grateful. Thanks
I'm confused on the whole draggable, body, head tags etc. When do you fix the head, body or layer to make some groups fixed, others draggable. I'm lost.Sometimes its the whole puppet, sometimes just one arm? Help
As a newbee I tried to add a tabletop to the template puppet "Dave", in a way that this tabletop is completely independant from the puppet, but both hands should be on top of the tabletop. Right now the table is moved around if the right arm is moved. How can I unlink the table from the hand/arm?
I'm currently creating scenes that involve a character walking at a body speed of 0% and I have a background puppet with a body speed of -15%. So it looks like my character is walking even though the background is just moving behind the character. My issue is that when I try to navigate throughout my timeline, the walking is always wonky. Rather than reversing the distance my background has traveled, when navigating, the background picks up where it was left off. I know there is a refresh button, and I do use that to start my scene new again, but I have to play the entire scene from the start and let it play out to understand where my puppet and background are, rather than just skimming through the scene in my timeline. Is there a fix for this?
With CA 2.0, I was able to do the following:Record a puppet performanceModify a Puppet Track Behavior (for example set Face | Pose To Pose Movement from 0 to 100 with a minimum pose delay of 1 second).Replay the recorded puppet performance and see the behavior changes reflected in the playback (so that now the head moves every second). With version 2.1, playing back the performance doesn't reflect the behavior changes I made (so the head is still moving fluidly in realtime rather than waiting a second between changes). If I'm not in playback mode, and in realtime mode, the head moves every second, but when I press play, the head moves fluidly as it did when I recorded it. I've been sure to select Push Value To Source Puppet in the Puppet Track Behaviors panel for the PtoP movement (this seems to do nothing).Am I missing something here? Is there another step required to apply changes to the prerecorded performance? Thanks
Right now I am trying to record about a minutes worth of work. I have already worked with the sound and gotten it the way I want it. Then it did the face and the sound showed up again (a second soundtrack) which I threw away. Now, I am doing the arms and again the sound track is rerecording itself. How do I stop that from happening?
I switched to Character Animator version 2.1 and now all my puppets get same problem. When I leave dragger hand don't coming back smoothly. Puppets created in Illustrator and worked well on last Ch. An. version
