Where is SDK documentation? CEP PANELS? JSX add-ons?
HI there, Im new to Character Animator and adpating 'Chloe' from the prerigged puppets. I can't figure out how to recreate the 'Arm Pose icons'. They are in a swap set but with no "default'. They link to some small Icon files hidden in the Torso. Could anyone please shed a little light before mine goes out!!
Is there a way of putting in the animation from Adobe Character Animator into Adobe Animate to work on it further?I know they are essentially two completely different programs, but is it possible to maybe even put the animation in frame by frame (which even sounds tedious for like 1000 frames) or is there some other method.
I'm trying to figure out why the necklace is showing like this in CA and how I can fix it. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance. (I included a screenshot from CA and another from Illustrator.)
I click on the 'open' in the Creative Cloud Desktop under Character Animator, and it should load, right? Wrong! It doesn't do anything. I am given no error mesdsages, no nothing. I click it and nothing happens. Can anyone help with this issue?
HI CH Community, I want my character to walk but don't have that much time to illustrate and rig a 3-view character.Is there anyway to fix a ONE-VIEW character to the ground (not floating) one it stops walking??? Thank you and all the best,Tony.
Can I have someone create a character animated puppet and share with me if I only have premier pro? Or would I also need character animator software? Is Dynamic Link needed?
Hello, 🙂I don't know if it's a bug due to the language software or if I'm missing something but i'm stuck with saved poses as Triggers.I got a french version of CH. I started to record some poses that I will often use : sit, hands up, etc.But as my Trigger component is above the Dragger one, when I set a Trigger pose in my timeline animation, I'm unable to overwrite on it, since the dragged entry appears under the trigger one. For exemple if I want the Sit pose on all my timeline and then make some drag on it, I can't since my drag will be "covered" by the Trigger.I don't find a way to reorder components to resolve that. Since the components order follow a nested hiearchy, I tried to delete the Trigger component from the top level of the puppet to put it lower, but it seems impossible to put a Trigger component other than on the top level layer (the box is grayed out otherwise). Components also seems to follow an alphabetical order, and that's why i'm asking if it's a language
Hi! I've made changes to gestures of a character in the timeline but when I export the file I still get the original gestures that I started with and exported? I've kept the same file name but deleted the old one before exporting to be extra sure I'm not opening the same file. Thanks!
Hello,I have a serious issue with character simulator.I've been using this software without issues for two years now but I recently had to reset my PC, thus I also had to reinstall character animator among other adobe apps I frequently use. However unlike photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign who work perfectly fine, character animator seems to be completely broken and neither a reinstall of the software, nor a download of an older version could fix this.Regarding the issue in question:When I start the Programm everything seems fine, but I am unable to start a new project. clicking on "new project" or using "ctrl+alt+n" does not lead to any response and if i try to open one of the example projects that the software provides, the interface is completely messed up as seen in the screenshot (don't wonder about the way too bright camera picture, thats another issue unrelated to this).Has anyone ever experienced this issue or any idea what could cause this?I really need to fix this as soon as
Hi, I’m currently working on animating a 4 legged giraffe character. I have manged to get it walking however is it possible to apply the motion library to it? At the moment when motion library is applied it deforms the character majorly.I’ve heard that character animator isn’t really made for multiple legged characters but is there a work around? like for the walk cycle?thanks
The live preview doesn't seem to have any issues. But as soon as I record, and then try to playback, it lags and stutters like crazy. The same thing happens when I drop in an audio file and try to playback the scene to see how my puppet's mouth moves. I tried reading through previous issues, but all the tech jargon is difficult to understand. Does anyone have a simple solution to the stuttering on playback?

Hi everyone, first post here.First of all I'd really want to thank Dave for his complete tutorials, where I could find almost every answer I needed since I started using this wonderful software just a few weeks ago! Now I have a Sadness toon character with animated tears in its open eyes.I'd like to have tear drops spreading from its eyes on each blink, both from automatic behaviour and from Face motion capture. Hi all, I've been able to get the upper arm behind the torso and lower arm above torso via dragging method BUT I'm struggling with making it work using body tracking. For some reason, it doesn't work when set to body tracking and the upper arm does not track at all, just the lower arm tracks and it breaks at the elbow. Does anyone have any advice? I've already followed this tutorial and it doesn't work for body tracking. Thanks in advance!

Raison: Because it is not a valid Photoshop document (-25090)".Comment déboguer?Merci

Hallo Community, Ich habe mir eine Figur in Adobe Illustrator erstellt und diese dann in Character Animator importiert.Jetzt das Problem, ich sehe die Figur nicht. Alles ist vorhanden, Ebenen, beschriftungen, verschiedene Münder. Alles wird auf der linken Seite angezeigt. Aber meine Figur, auf dem transparenten Hintergrund nicht. Ich kann auch ins "leere" klicken und den Kopf oder den Körper auswählen. Es handelt sich um einen Windows PC.Bild im Anhang.Ich würde mich um Hilfe freuen.
Hello, I am new to Character Animator, and though I've learned a lot over the past couple of months from online tutorials, I've come across an issue using swap sets. Here's the problem: When I switch from one facial expression to another using swap sets (which I combine with cycle layers to get to the final facial expression), the default eye brows stays on. Here is a screenshot of the default facial expression:And here is a screenshot once the swapset has been activated, where you see both the default eyebrow as well as the new eyebrow: Here is a screenshot in Rig Mode:Any help here would be appreciated.On a separate note, I have another unrelated but similar issue. The character switches from a frontal facing view and an upper facing view using swap sets, also using cycle layers to get to each position. Is there a way to stream my Character Animator puppet into a discord call? I know how to share my screen but that requires the people in the call to watch the stream. I'm asking if there is a way to route my signal into Discord as my web cam, possibly with NDI?
I installed Character Animator a week ago on my Windows laptop. It was working fine until yesterday when I was opening Puppet Maker and I got an error. I've attached the image of the error. I've since uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version, installed version 23.1 and I'm getting the same error. I've also tried following the suggestions from this forum, such as holding the alt key when opening the app, holding the shift key when opening Puppet Maker and creating a zip file of the Character Animator folder. Nothing has worked. Please help.
The new Replays feature is cool, but it is missing a “loop forever” mode. I want to hit a trigger (e.g. latched) and have the sequence play forever until the trigger is hit again. At present a replay plays once and stops and you have to trigger it again to get it to repeat, even when trigger latching is on.I assume a third replay mode of “loop forever while triggered” is wanted as a trigger mode.The usecase is an “idle” state for the puppet. You can record an idle state (fidgeting etc) and and some other states (“frustrated”, “angry”, “tired”, “bored” etc) then when live streaming you just hit a key to change the state and the puppet keeps acting in that way until the state changes again. The replay might be like 20+ seconds long so it does not feel too repetitive.
