Character Animator

Hello I'm trying to import WAV files that I saved out from Premiere.I've checked the files and they play back fine in windows, but when I try to import them into Character Animator it just says "Error in Ch version 23.0x52" and says "Unable to open the audio file" any ideas? Thanks

Internal Error Code :(726879107:4261+46) compiler could not bootstrap. Just one of a few problems I am having. I am trying to use Character Animator in a high school computer lab and all the mechines are giving this error.

I'm new to Character Animator and after installing it, when I click on a character whether in starter or pro, it brings up an error. I've uninstalled and installed it multiple times with the same error every time. It's my first time using this specific application so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot.

Is the Body Tracker option not accessible in Adobe Character Animator 2023?  The 3 buttons that was there before - microphone, body --- are not there now.

I am seeing a strange issue with the walk option of the motion library  - I set up a puppet with walk behavior etc.- In a scene, I recorded a walk with a Body speed of 100%.- When I play the recording, my puppet starts moving- Next, I stop the play and scrub the timeline for some corrections or just to look at some parts of the timeline whether everything is all right- If I hit play again, from the beginning or somewhere in between- This is where my puppet loses its recorded position completely. It starts walking from some random location and sometimes keeps walking even after i have hit the stop button.- If I refresh the scene, the position of the puppet is reset and it works from there.Any help is appreciated.

When I use Motion Tracker in Character Animator, I notice the torso gets a little more wider, making my character look fatter than what I drew in Illustrator. It's something I've ignored since I started using it, but it's really bugging me now.I feel like I've rigged everything correctly. Screenshots attached.Puppet here (can't attach .puppet files): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pudQlWlLjkX-P0qqJ_No6FT4FnN3Knpj/view?usp=sharing) Can anyone help with not making my character fat with Motion Tracker?

Hello I want to know if I use the adobe character animator puppets in my youtube videos and publish them on my channel, will it be all good or it's against the licensing terms? Like I want to use one of the puppets like the cat without editing the original puppet at all. and like I also want to sponsor my youtube videos (which contain the puppets) on my Facebook pages to gain more viewers. will my actions considered to be ok and aren't against the terms? or what should I do in order to have the right to use them as I want? BestsRezhwan

Hello, I can't move the Puppet's head parallax in the project below. I'm missing what I'm doing wrong. Puppet Herehttps://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FdjLTehaQ0LCeF-hej0he01dQT4-miUU?usp=sharing

Helloo friends!!So when I try to import a project from CH 2023 into my AE 2021 it says:"the project could not be opened" please help someone smarter than me 🙂 Chris!

I'd like to create one camera and its triggerable shots to be able use it across multiple scenes. Is there a way to save a global camera or resusable camera that I can just drag into each scene? I could have it in a "recording scene" where I nest other scenes in there to have the camera movements work from one place but this means I won't get to go back and edit those movements for each segment (my project needs to be split into 2-3 minute sections). Am I missing something or do I need to create the camera shots each time in each new scene?

I'm not sure where this belongs. I just wanted to take some time to say thank you. Thank you so much for this program. It's brought me so much joy and entertainment this past year. It's given me a new hobby and it's opened up my creativity in such a way that's really helped me out mentally. I've picked up new skills such as illustrating, animating and video editing. I feel I haven't had many things I'm good at, and for some reason this program sparked something in me. So again thank you so much for this program and all the hard work of the Adobe CH team. I hope this program thrives and helps others in the same way.

When I try to import a Character Animator project to After Effects, I get an error message:"After Effects Fehler: Verbindung zu Adobe Animator 2023 konnte ncht hergestellt werden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Adobe Animator installiert ist. §86 / 1"This translates to: "After Effects error: Could not connect to Adobe Animator 2023. Make sure that Adobe Animator is installed. §86 / 1" When I try to copy a project from Adobe Animator and paste it to After Effects, it doesn't work either. Of course, Adobe Animator is installed.

Is it possible?

I would like to track movement and audio from a video file to animate a character. Is it possible?

Hi everyone,I really love some of the new default backgrounds but when I went to animate with them using scene cameras I found that they don't zoom with the camera. Is there a setting I am missing? See video for clearer explanation of what I mean! (video has sound). Thanks in advance for any help!

When adding additional triggers to a swap set in the artwork, it'd be nice if you could have a swap set in CA autoupdate its contents and add any new triggers added to the art set. Example:I add a angry eyebrow art layer in my already setup right eyebrow swapset so when I save and update, angry eyebrow is now automatically added to the swapset. Huge time saver.

It would be amazing if we could create our own part profiles in CA (like you have with head, eye, etc) so if we use a name in our keyart it automatically is recognized and is collected as a view. This would make triggers so much easier when using multiple profiles and views. Especially for expressions. Making all the settings in a single profile like left quarter would then apply to all others based on unique ids assigned to custom parts. Those custom parts could even have separate behaviors, triggers, etc. If we had the capabilities to do this, workflows would be cut by up to 80% in rigging. I think CA really could benefit from more dynamic object controls.

Hi everyone, I probably missed this somewhere but I was wondering if someone could tell me the easiest way to animate a prop in a scene for character animator. This would be for a puppet to interact with a prop and also for a prop to move without interaction. If there is any advice or a video someone could point me towards it would be appreciated so much!!Thanks!!

Heyho, I wanted to work with the Characterizer Tool of Character Animator but unfortunately, the tool does not crop out any faces. It doesn't matter whether I use the automatic or manual capture tool. It even fails to recognize the faces of pictures that are only a head (black background is added). When I use the edit mode, the styles don't work since they think, the whole picture was the head. Do any of you know of this problem and how to solve it? I switched to older versions but nothing fixed my bug. Thank you!Paul

Right now the only good way to make a head tilt independent from body is by making the head independent and adding a face behavior. This workaround is very hacky and causes alot of compromises in movement. The head should be a leader to the body and rotation/tilt should be a simple pivot on the origin point natively.

Feature request - Please add the capabilities to activate triggers from a cycle layer keyframe.  This would drastically improve my workflow and increase ability to make more advanced rigs.

Today I returned to a chproj file I had not editied for a few weeks. I removed all audio files as intended to replace. I could have deleted something aside from audio but Im not sure. When I did replace the first few seconds of audio, and did a compute lip sync, it worked but it seemed all the triggers and positions were forgotten. Then when I try to click around or go to different sections to see if any triggers are working, the error in the screenshot pops up every time. The text of the error is below. This happened first on my macbook air m1. I tried running the same file on a decent PC that has worked for this program before. I got the same result on both machines. Error text from screenshot: Error in Ch version 23.0x52Error: getRawEventGraphValuesFromTimeSpan not implemented for global evaluationError code: (engine.is:1192)

Adobe Character animator crashes for me on application start.  Macos Ventura.. 😞

Please help with a 2020 project that needs to be used for a new season.  Two issues: I'm getting "error: replay trigger depth exceeded" on triggers M and G, and the puppet moves weirdly on lipsync. None of these issues were present in the 2020 version that is no longer available (I went as far back as Creative Cloud allowed, no dice). Here's a video of the bugs in action, and here's the puppet. Can please someone take a look at this?

I have a puppet we made for first season of our show back in 2020. I need to start working on S02, but with latest ChA, I get this little nugget:  Any idea how to fix this? I'm on Mac Monterey. Thanks.
