Good Morning,I have heard of training programs using remote lab machines logged in as participants for use during breakout sessions, while participants take turns controlling the lab machine.  What is the benefit of performing breakout sessions with lab machines as opposed to just having the participants share their screens?I am trying to decide whether or not our training group should use lab machines for our practice activities.Any insight would be appreciated!Thanks,Barb

Is there a way to set up Connect so that users don't see their own cam feeds in the video pod? I'm using connect for one-on-one tutoring and I'd much prefer to just see the other user (and vice versa).Thanks,Simon

My university (George Mason University) uses Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Meeting to set up viewing for distance learning students.  I would like to see if there is a way they (or I) could capture these to a file for viewing later.  Thanks.Tom

I want to find a list of users in a meeting. So I use this URL:http://example.com/api/xml?action=report-bulk-consolidated-transactions&filter-type=meeting&filter-sco-id=169749This gives me a list, but not in real-time. If someone leaves the meeting, this doesn't appear for perhaps 10 or 15 minutes.How can I get results in real-time?

hello community,I have following problem. When I publish a finnished e-learning from captivate 5 with adobe connect sometimes are the slides in the screen top left and not in the centre. We use Internet Explorer 8.I use the project size 1024 x 576 pixels in captivateIs this a  consciously problem? I am a new user to Adobe Connect 8. I just created my first meetingyesterday. I was able to hear the playback myself, but when I sent thelink provided to another e-mail, I was unable to hear the sound from thelink ( I see all the slides, which run through in 5 second intervals),the sound is at maximum level on both the playback and on my computer. I have happily been using Connect for about a year now as a desktop to desktop solution and love how flexible it is in terms of layout and how simple it is to get people started with it. We do not host it ourselvesOk, so now we have a groudswell of staff wanting to use it for more things, most interestingly to stream some presentations or mini lectures where some students can't be physically present, but the rest are in a lecture room.Using a Logitech Conference Cam and a laptop, we tried to capture what was going on in the room, and also uploaded the Powerpoint and clicked through it to match what the lecturer was doing.The results were ok-ish - but how could I make this better? The sound wasn't excellent, as the mic was too weak for the size of room and the lecturer liked to move around a lot.We have the budget to buy some stuff - a mobile trolley, a decent webcam, a better mic, well powered PC.Can anyone suggest how I could upgrade the experience?

Here's the issue:I create presentations in Captivate 5.I publish these presentations to Adobe Connect Pro (our own licenced server)I create a course based on that Captivate 5 contentWhen users view the presentation, it shows up as "In Progress" on the reports, and won't show as "Complete", even if the user views every slide.These courses contain no interactions, or quiz questions.  To complete, the user just needs to view.What am I missing that will allow the courses to show up "Complete" on the user's transcript?I know that I can override the transcript manually, but when I have more than 300 learners enrolled, this is not practical at all.Is this something in my Captivate project settings?  Or is this something in my Connect publishing setup?

We have just moved from Connect 7 to 8.2.  Our cameras and video capture cards are all have 16:9 capablity.  Under version 7, we had the option of setting the Camera and Voice pod to Portrait, Standard, or Landscape; and once set to Landscape, the Pod showed the full 16:9 widescreen frame.  For our HD web cameras (e.g., MS LifeCam Studio) the version 8 software seems to be trimming the sides to produce a 4:3 picture; for our HD capture cards (e.g., Ospry), the software is "letterboxing" the video.   Does anyone know how do we can display the full 16:9 that the video sources are capable of producing?

Hi all, Newbie here so go easy on me...One of our teams at work is receiving training from a 3rd party company that delivers its material via Adobe Connect webinars.  We are having great difficulty in receiving them, with multiple users having the webinar load, play a few seconds (always less than 10, usually 3 seconds) then simply freeze.  After about 30 seconds in which it looks “paused” , the main video feed shows as a black box and the presentation slides disappear.  All users have at least 512Mb RAM (most 1 or 2GB, some with more); 90% are using IE7, some IE8; every user has at least 1.4GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor (majority have Core2Duo – some have i3/i5). Again, 90% are on XP, some are on 7 (all Windows OS) – all however are running a custom, in house build.  Flash Player & Connect plugins are the latest available.  We also have 2 connections; our main domain enterprise which uses proxies to connect and which all users outside of the IS dept. conne

The company is using Adobe Connect and when I tried to access a room as a host, I got the error saying that, "Network connectivity was lost. Please wait while Connect-Pro Meeting reconnects…" for a couple of hours. After that I also got the error, "Connection. The meeting room was unable to connect with the server.  Click Open Troubleshooting to begin diagnosing the problem". What do these error messages mean?

Hello!We have Adobe Connect 8.2 installed and we need to customize it.1)A lot of presenters in our meetings are newcomers and they can't just find suitable menu item. Is it possible to add big buttons "Share document" and "Share screen" for presenters or/and organizators?2)Connect Add-in is more convenient than Flash. Is it possible to make autoinstallation of Add-in?3)Also we need to clean up rooms automatically. It is possible via XML-API. But I noticed that Connect is deployed on Tomcat and contains jars and XSL templates. Can we make customization using it?

Can I export a captivate presentation that I have in Adobe Connect back to my Captivate program?I was publishing my presentation to Adobe Connect and stopped in the middle of the prublishing process.  In doing that I now cannot open the file in captivate. 

Does anyone know of a site tha has a complete list of cameras and video mixers that are compatable with Connect? I am always getting asked about HD cameras and what webcams exist and what camcorders that can play into connect.  I have done a lot of googling without luck and I am thinking about starting my own google doc to track what is and is not tested that works with connect.  In the last month:  I have been asked to use a Cannon GL2 camera (firewire into older mac) - it worked greatSony Vivxa HD camera (HDMI and USB) - could not get any connection into Adobe ConnectiPad/iPhone display out (HDMI and VGA) - might work with the Roland VR3 - still testingWireless webcam - there are a lot of wireless cameras but none that I have found can be seen by adobe connect as a webcam.  Am I the only one that is struggling with this? I am looking for a way to sell tickets to a lecture that I am going to conduct through adobe connect and wanted to know if there was a way to either do it through adobe connect or some other 3rd party software/plug-in to sell tickets and manage who gets access to the presentation.

Friday I was in a trouble-shooting session via Adobe's "chat" trying to get my Captivate app reactivated on a new PC (Windows 7). The Adobe tech support person wanted to see the window I was looking at, so the support person gave me to the link in the chat window to "share screen, " which opened Adobe Connect. After Adobe Connect opened, I clicked "Share My Screen," but it didn't work.Why would it not work?
