Hi. I'm new to Connect Pro and need to do a meeting with a named user (Host) who is also an administrator. If I want to create a meeting and be a moderator with the host, which group do I need to belong to on the administrator interface? I sawAdministrator Administrator (Limited), Authors, Meeting HostsIn other words, how can he as a meeting host/admin send me an invite so that I can be a moderator with the meeting host? We're just starting out with Connect Pro and trying to understand the lingo and how to create meetings, etc.Thank you.

OK I know a Connect 'competitor' has a cool little tool where users in a meeting room can 'pick up' a little magic wand tool and "click" on a map showing where they are physically located. Has anyone created something like this to be used in a Connect room? I've searched the SDK developer area with no luck. Ideally I need a "map" of the state of California and another of North America (Including Canada). Has anyone developed this? Can you point me in the right direction? Anyone know when they will make Connect 8.0 available for monthly hosted customers? You would think that since this is hosted, that this would have been one of the first places to upgrade because we are active paying clients.Thanks!Scott

My clinet wants to have a timer show on the screen during his meetings. At the start of the meeting we'll start the clock and let it run during the meeting. The timer has to be visible (and of course syncronised) on all participants' desktops. We're doing mainly video so we looked for something that would superimpose a timer onto the video screen but never came up with anything. I see that there is a Flash app called Digital Timer, which would be perfect exept it doesn't seem to synchronise in Connect 8 for all the participants so it's a non-starter. If anyone could give me a clue how we could do this, I would greatly appreciate it./sch

Linking the chat pod to the Q&A pod was easy in connect7. I don't manage connecting the two in release 8. I see a normal Q&A pod, but are not able to forward from chat to Q&A pod or to assign questions in Q&A pod to presenters. Please advise as I have a meeting on Wednesday Feb 16th.

When doing a spell check sometimes I missed something and want to go back to a prior paragraph. Is there a way to do this WITHOUT leaving spell check and starting over?

we are using connect pro and have meetings where we share our pro engineer sessions.we can pass control to other people in the meeting, they can select on the model treeand all the tool bars in pro engineer but we cannot spin the model. it appears the graphicsarea is a dead zone for connect pro. are we doing someting wrong or is this not possible?

Monday I upgraded our Adobe Connect server from version 7.5 to the new version 8. This new version at the highest quality settings displays video at 640x480, which was considered high-resolution back when Quicktime was released in 1991, but nowadays that's pretty low-resolution considering the plethora of 1080p tv's on the market and computer monitors going over 2560x1600. We had better performance for sharing video under the Adobe Connect 8 preview than under the final version, and I'm wondering why there's no granular control over user roles (participant, presenter, host) in relation to video quality settings.I've called Adobe Enterprise Support on multiple occasions the past 3 days, and nobody there has been able to answer our questions regarding the limited quality of videoconferencing through Adobe Connect. Hi - I have imported the .MOV file from keynote into Flash and then exported it as a .FLV file but the problem is that all of my 'on click' build requests have disappeared so it just plays as one continuous movie. Can anyone help me please? It seems that a .MOV file (which works perfectly with the 'on click' features) cannot be played with Adobe Connect. I really need the presentation to play with all of the 'on click' settings in place. PLEASE HELP!!! 🐵

I have uploaded some of my ppt files and graphics are missing and text is reversed in others.I have slides missing graphics. One is a picture in another its a line graphText within text boxes that are reversed but other slides created and formated the same way are fineI am confused has anyone else seen this before??I have now found a entire slide deck that is missing the heading including a color bar the heading should be on

I have had problems getting the eseminars to work athttp://adobeeseminars.com.au/ondemandI have used them successfully in the past, both live and on demand. Have tried on 3 computers and no luck, and have tried many different seminars with no luck. They just load up the dark grey screen with the Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Meeting on the left of the screen with the green 'loading' bar. The green bar loads fully and then it does nothing - just stays on the dark grey screen.Has something changed? do I need new software now?I'm on Mac OSX10.4 + Safari 4.04. Don't have Connect but haven't needed it in the past to view the ondemand seminarsAny help much appreciated - I'm trying to learn Flash

Is there an option for some type of alert when a new entry has been made on the chat?  In an environment of multi-tasking, hoping there is some type of alert similar to other IM applications.

I always play games on the web site called I won. Ive never had any problems so far but they have on on line chat to use if you want to. I always used it. Now it keeps saying that I need to download the latetest version of Adobe & Flash player. I have the latetest version of Adobe but when I try to upgrade my flashplayer my computer wont let me! Im clueless as to what to do. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi,I have to retrieve the information about the participation of users at a meeting. For that, I use the report "report-bulk-consolidated-transactions". During tests, I saw the the result set is not realtime.In another forum I found the hint, that on hosted services, the reporting calls are processed by an secondary database, which is synced regulary.Can anybody provide me more details about the update interval of that secondary database?Is it every 15,30,60 Minutes?Thanks!Wolfgang

I have been using adobe connect on a windows pc for a while now, and it works great! Just recently I tried to use it on a Mac and was unseccessful on two mac machines being unable to share my desktop with others and on the other i am not even able to install the add-in. I am using mac OS X 10.4.11 let me know if anyone has the same issue. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have noticed that you lose some functionality in recorded meetings that are played back locally through the desktop application. Most notable is that you can not download a file from the file sharing pod when played back locally. A few customers have asked me about this and I am not sure how to answer them. Is this an intentional limitation for security reasons, a bug, or just a feature that didn't make into the shipping version? Are there any other recording playback features that are disabled in a local playback?Thanks,John

I wanna do that in order to convert and transfer them on an iPad to view them later.I tried to grab lessons with Quicktime, but I get video only, no audio.Any hint? Recently upgarded PC's to Windows 7 but now unable to plot from PDF - In the properties menu of the printer we get no option to select page size. This may be driver related but have not been able to get an answer from anybody to solve the problem, it ony happens when trying to plot PDF drawing. Any advice would be much appreciated.

When I access Connect in Safari I am asked to upgrade my Flash player - it is up to date... Firefox works just fine. Does anyone else have Safari access or Flash issues?

Hello, We have an installation of Adobe Connect Enterprise Server version 6.0 SP3 running on Windows Server 2003. Hi,is it possible to add / enable cache control / compression in Connect Pro (7 or 8)? If so, how?I suspect we'll have to tweak the underlying http server for it but I'd like to know if this is documented somewhere and if it's supported. Especially, we'd like to- add / configure Cache-Control http headers - add / configure Expires http headers - activate GZIP/Deflate compressionIf this isn't something Connect offers out of the box, any recommendations for proxy servers to put in front of Connect and things to watch out for?Thanks,Dirk.
