Digital Editions

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on this. I recently instlalled ADE for the first time, and it has auto-signed in under a very old and since disabled email address. I am unable to de-authorise this account and change the authorised email address to my current email address. Can anyone help? I have tried the Cmd+Shift+D method and can't progress any further as it's showing the disable email as the only authorised user. Thanks all

I have tried to download an e-book and got the message E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS.This  Adobe help page shows me  E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error in Adobe Digital Editions pls. contact us.I tried this and oppened a chat but I was told they can not help me. I need to go to this forum, they can help."I can understand the situation, I have discussed with my senior as well, we would not be to fix this. The support is not available on the chat, but over the forums."So pls. can you help me? to get the activation count reset.Thanks 

Ich habe ein Problem beim authorisieren von einem neuen Gerät.Ich habe laut der Anzeige in Adobe Digital Editions und dem Support keine EBooks mit meinem Account verbunden und trotzdem steht, dass die maximale Anzahl an verbundenen Geräten erreicht wurde. Ich habe aber vermutlich nur 3 oder 4 Geräte verbunden. Jetzt weiß ich nicht, was ich tun soll.Bitte um Hilfe.Danke!

I bought a new notebook and installes Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. I transfered all my ebooks to the new notebook and also authorised the new notebook/ Now none of my ebooks are working, I can only see the cover when I open one/ Can you please help me? Many thanks

Hi, I have ADE version 4.5.11, the icons under bookshelves are all missing, that is All Items,etc. This is where all the books I download from the local library are held. Therefore I cannot copy the files to my Kobo Cara HD reader. I have uninstalled & reinstalled many times and the problem is continually there.Can anyone advise how to fix this problem, as until that time I cannot use the system.Thanks, Barry Ward

For some time now, I can no longer turn the pages of "acsm" files. When I click on "next page", the page does not change. I have to leave the book, go back to the library and go back to the book to get to the next page. Performing this procedure 300 times for a book of 300 pages is long and painful!Thank you for your help

I already went through Google support, reinstalled, reauthorized, redownloaded the ebook acsm file... nothing works. In the end of all that support, we got stuck with E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR, an error on Adobe's end.Contacted Adobe support chat. They redirected me to this because "there is no chat support for this issue".Google tried to fix my problem. You, Adobe, didn't, and told me to go to the forums. This is not user error, so no "expert" they spoke of can help here unless they're actually part of the ADE team.The steps followed (according to the followup email to the chat) were thus:Check that the date and time is correct on your computer.Make sure you’re connected to the internet.Re-download the eBook.Remove the book from your ADE Library.Sign in to https://play.google.com/books.Next to the book, click More (3 vertical dots) > Download as ePub/PDF.Open the file in ADE.Re-install Adobe Digital Editions.Uninstall ADE.Download and install the latest ADE.Restart your computer.Get

I purchased an e-book, the download had an "acsm" extension. This download prompted Digital Editors to open it. The file works fine, but I do not like the Digital Editors software, I prefer Acrobat. Since the file shows up in the folder as a PDF, I tried to open it with Acrobat DC. But I get an error message saying that the "Plug in required is unavailable". Is there a way to open this file in Adobe Acrobat? 

When I write ID and passwort, it is writen E_AUTHOR_BAF_DEVICE.WHAT should to do. 

Automatic access of my libary did not happen when I replaced my hard drive, downloaded the latest version of ADE & reauthorized my PC using the original ID.  Should I download it again?  Or do something else?

Good morning- I was having issues loading books onto my e-reader so I switched emails on both the reader and ADE. It seemed to work and now I haven't had any issues. But now I want to go back to original email and when I do it comes back with an error saying "email already used".

I get the message: Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED when I try and add books to ADE library (to then transfer to e-reader). I have gone through this forum and looked for help, tried changing time and deauthorising, trashing the .dat file (as suggested in other posts) and reauthorising and nothing makes a difference. Help would be appreciated!

I can't find anywhere where I can download the app for either Windows or Mac OS. Help please!

I am trying to get my Reader for Mac to accept my authorisation password. It used to work and now I have  pile of books that I cannot read or access.  I have tried to deactivate and reimput but it still asks for authorisation. How do I open my books. Adobe has done this before and their shennaigans lost all my books and hundreds of pounds. Many of these books I cannot afford to replace so I need them opening!

I am trying to access a book on Adobe Digital Editions and it says authorization needed, then when i sign in with my account it says - the vendor account you entered is not associated with item you are trying to open. Any help much appreciated.

Bonjour, Au départ, j'ai eu un problème pour lélécharger les e-books sur ma liseuse. Ade me disait : des erreurs ont été détectées dans cet élément. J'ai désinstallé puis réinstallé une ancienne version. Maintemant ADE s'ouvre mais est bloqué. Je ne peux même plus le fermer. Je ne suis pas une virtuose, parlez-moi en termes clairs s'il vous plait. Grand merci. Windows 7. Liseuse Nolimbook. Achat chez Decitre.

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my brand new Dell Inspiron Windows 10 Home Single Language Edition will not scroll/change pages. The page does not scroll or change whatever you do. Same problem if I install ADE 3.0 as well. Uninstall and reinstall does not help either. 

How do you get text to speech on iOS mobile?

I have ADE installed. It worked fine for years on my old XP computer, with an anonymous authorisation.This year on my newer Windows 10 computer I had to install a newer version (4.5) with an online Adobe account.That version will only let me read the books in ADE, and won't let me move them to my e-book library in Calibre or to my e-reader.So I thought I'd done something wrong and got another standalone authorisation. So I followed the instruction on the Anonymous Activation page https://blogs.adobe.com/ebooks/2015/04/09/adobe-digital-editions-anonymous-activation/ and made a brand-new Adobe account online today (the one I'm posting from here), and tried first to re-authorise, then to uninstall and re-install ADE 4.5.11. but nothing worked - I can still read the books only in ADE on my computer screen. Uninstalling it left the existing library, which I hoped meant that I could still read those books after re-authorising on the new account.But ADE keeps saying it's a

Sistema operativo Windows 10.Non riesco più ad utilizzare Adobe Digital Editions. Scarico il programma, ma mi compare la maschera allegata e non riesco a fare alcunchè. 

Buenas tardes, en el día de hoy intente vincular mi 'cuenta' de PC con uno de mis dispositivos para continuar con la lecura, sin embargo note que no sólo no pude lograrlo sino que, ahora tampoco tengo acceso a mis libros desde la PC. El problema segun entiendo se origina desde el momento en el que descargue y use libros sin antes autorizar mi PC y que segun parece eso tampoco me permite ahora abrirlo en un nuevo dispositivo, bueno.. ninguno de hecho. Acaso perdí mis libros? queda algo por hacer?Agradezco su ayuda.

Salve ho un Kobo Aura e vorrei leggere un ebook scaricato dalla biblioteca comunale. Ok download, autorizzazioni Adobe Digital Edition etc... Vedo regolarmente il libro su PC, sul Kobo invece copertina nera e mi dice che devo autorizzarlo nuovamente. Ho provato 300 volte, anche formattandolo del tutto oltre che aggiornarlo. Che problema può avere e come lo risolvo? Grazie per un aiuto

Hi -  I got a new laptop as my other one broke. I figured out on the mac how to delete authorization through finder (thank you forums). I logged onto the browser to change my password. Ebook vendor is campus ebookstore. my adobe id is my school email and i try the password i just changed but i get "incorrect login id or password  for selected ebook vendor" . i tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it wont automatcally authorize. Tech support says i need the original password i made months ago that i clearly dont remeber. I know the ebook vendor is correct as its greyed out. I have exams next week and am panicking i cant access my own account!! please help
