Digital Editions

Adobe Digital Editions needs some work. I purchased a digital book for my graduate class, and the navigation glitches.  I can’t highlight nor annotate within the text. I am so frustrated that I purchased a book without knowing that the Adobe Digital Editions was going to be a barrier to my being able to interact with the ttext. I am a teacher who uses iBooks, PDF Cabinet on the regular. The app was a disappointment compared to all the other Adobe products I use. I am reporting for all the teachers who will do the same thing I did and purchase from a reputable publisher only to be disappointed in the limitations of Adobe Digital Editions.

how do i remove an old email in the authorisation window ???  i closed the account to open a new one and i can't put the new email address in.  HELP !!!

Och då klickar jag på "ja", men då kommer ett nytt meddelande upp som säger: "Setup has detected an existing version of Adobe Digital Editions. Would you like to repair the existing installation?"Jag förstår helt enkelt inte varför jag inte kan öppna E-boken med Adobe Digital Editions och läsa boken på min dator. Jag har en laptop förresten, en HP Pavilion, inte en Mac. Och jag tror jag att jag har Windows 10 på datorn och att jag använder webbläsaren Microsoft Edge. Ska jag byta webbläsare så vet jag inte ens hur jag gör det, och jag förstår visserligen inte riktigt vad det skulle spela för någon roll vilken webbläsare jag har, men utifall att så tar jag med den här informationen.Jag har testat att starta om datorn, men samma problem uppstår ändå. I have checked out this book before and it works till it is expired.I tried to check it out this time but could not get it opened with error:  E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.  It appears license server side having the issue.  Any solutions?Who should I talk to?  I saw the other post that it is about vendor's resetting issue.  Is that right?Or anything else I am missing or need to try on my side?Thanks!Ming

Is it possible to use a Text to speech application with Adobe Digital Edition? Most publisher think it's possible, but our tests always fail when the DRM protection is activated.

I'm trying to get my newly bought ebook (Google) in ADE, but I'm getting the "Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ADEPT_INTERNAL" error message. I've seen several different posts regarding this error, but the steps are not a solution for me. Things I've tried:- Update ADE to latest version (4.5.? to 4.5.11.187607)- De-authorize, restart ADE, re-authorize- Close ADE, remove 'activation.dat' from '~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions', start ADE, re-authorize. The error just keeps coming back. Any help would be appreciated! PS. I'm on macOS 11.4

Seit heute ist es mir leider nicht möglich ADE 4.5 für PC zu öffnen oder E-Books downzuloaden. Eine Deinstallation und Neuinstallation hat leider auch nichts gebracht.Das Programm lädt einfach die Bibliothek nicht und bleibt da stecken.Ich bitte um Hilfe.Danke.

I recently downloaded a book for one of my college classes using Adobe Digital Editions. However, when I open it, I am unable to flip pages. To see the next or previous page, I have to exit back out to the library and then reopen the book. How do I fix this?

Buongiorno,qualche tempo fa ho acquistato un e-book su IBS ma non riesco a caricarlo sul mio e-reader Kobo (premetto che ho un adobe id, il computer è autorizzato e non ho mai avuto problemi neanche con altri libri di Ibs). Nelle informazioni elemento su Adobe digital editions risulta "copia: non consentita" mentre per gli altri e-book già acquistati è "copia: su qualunque dispositivo". Stesso problema con gli e-book in prestito della piattaforma M-LOL. Mi viene anche il messaggio di errore "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED". Sistema operativo Windows. Ho già provato a disinstallare e ri-installare, deautorizzare e riautorizzare ma niente. Non ho mai avuto questi problemi e praticamente l'unico modo di leggere e-book è comprarli direttamente dal sito KOBO e sincronizzare il mio dispositivo. Come posso fare? Grazie!

hi a need to deauthorize ADE and authorize it again, in order to download an e-book. Help

I have a problem with Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. When I scroll down the image will not change, even though the page numbers at the bottom change. If I minimize and then maximize, the image will refresh and I can see the new page. This makes the software unusable. I have uninstalled and re-installed, though that didn't help. I have also tried using ADE 3.0. That also didn't solve the issue either. I am using Windows 10 on a brand new Samsung Flex 2.

Hello, I don't know if there is already a similar issue on the forum.I've tried to find a solution but I can't, and I begin to feel desperate about it... So basically, I redownloaded ADE because I had erased it by accident. Then, when I wanted to open my books (ASCM, protected by DRM), it tells me to type my Adobe ID. That I did, and that is where my nightmare began. It popped up a message telling me "The specified account isn't linked to the file you're trying to open" (that might not be the exact message, the software is in French, as I am... French.) So here I am, a dozen of books I can't open because apparently I'm not using the right ID. And I swear I am. Hope you have a solution to my problem, thanks.

Is there a working version of Adobe Digital Edition or an alternative?  Some  of the books in my library work fine,others may show the work error in the far  right column but there is no explanation.  I have books which were uploaded to my ColorNook via ADE but now don't work in ADE but work on my ColorNook.  If this is the best Adobe can do, why would I spend  money on their other products?

안녕하세요. Adobe Digital Editions 사용 중에 발생한 문제입니다. Google Books에서 다운로드 받은 acsm 파일 형식의 책들을 다운로드 하고 클릭 하면 라이센스 문제라고 E_LIC_CONNECTION_PROBLEM 에러 코드가 뜹니다... 한편 https://www.adobe.com/kr/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/sample-ebook-library.html 에서 받은 샘플 책들은 다운 후 클릭하면 문제없이 바로 로딩 되며 깔립니다. 해결책이 없을까요?

Hi. I have some e adept internal error in a specific book. In my case, another book that I bought from google works and a book that I downloaded on the adobe homepage works. I said my problem on google, but nothing worked. They said me to ask adobe. Is there anyone who knows the solution??

I have loaned some ADE-books from my library.After a few weeks these books expire.When you click on the file in Finder, ADE opens and says 'Expired', but it doesn't mention title nor author nor publisher.So now I wonder: 'WHAT book expired'?Is there any way to trace this back from the file name (eg '5211651.acsm')Thanks
