I'm having trouble with Adobe Digital EditionsI bought an e-book online and was told to download Adobe Digital Editions in order to read the book, but when i download the book and open the file the book doesn't show in Adobe Digital EditionsI can't seem to open the book in the app and I don't know what to do, I even called the store where i bought the book but they say the file is not damaged, etc.Im using Digital Edition 4.5.11 for Mac, and have macOS Big Sur. I tried downloading the 3.0 version but when the download was finished i was unable to open the app because the version was too old for the systemI find it pretty weird because when i click on the downloaded file (book), it sort of sends me off to the Adobe Digital Editions app as if the book will appear there but i does not I can't find the book anywhere. Does anybody have any ideas as to why I cannot find my book in the app?
I'm running ADE 4.5 on Windows 7, which I have authorized using my Adobe ID. I've successfully downloaded DRM-protected PDFs via .acsm files from openlibrary.org in the past. However, I'm now getting a message "Error! Check authorization" I tried uninstalling ADE 4.5 and installing ADE 3.0 and even ADE 2.0, and still get the same error. In ADE 4.5, I tried erasing authorization information, and after entering my password, I keep getting a message "Unable to erase authorization. Please try again after some time."
Every time I try to open my textbook provided through my university, it says the original document file is missing how do I fix this?
How do I sync my new Kobo Clara ereader to my existing ADE account. I want to be able to see books read and transfer those I am reading over to my new ereader. If it helps this is my 3rd Kobo ereader and each time I have had to download a new ADT and start from the beginning
Trying to borrow books from the library. I get right to the end and everything looks like it's working, but book cover is black and it won't open. I get a message saying it's not authorised. It definitely is. I've experimented with erasing authorisation on computer and Kobo, re-downloading book, tying a different book, no joy. Sometimes I get lucky and I manage to download a book, but then I try again and nope. Anyone encountered this? I'm really reluctant to buy a newer one as there is otherwise nothing wrong with this. But I have wasted so much time trying to get this to work (are newer versions easier??) I have done all the updates. On Windows (although interesting was previously on a Mac and had no issues....) Thanks
Hello! I am writing in regards to a message that I have been getting for a few months now, every time I try to transfer a book borrowed from a public library to my Kobo device, using Adobe Digital Editions. I have an account with Adobe and one with Kobo, that are associated to the the same e-mail address. I have authorized ADE on my computer and connected the e-reader using the same e-mail address. However, everytime I try to transfer a book from a public library, I get the following message on my reader:"Your eReader is not authorized to open this book. This book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). You need to re-authorize your eReader with your Adobe ID using Adobe Digital Edition. Please visit help.kobo.com for more information" I have visited the help kobo link several times and follow all possible procedures, but that didn't solve the problem. And I have tried everything so far: un-authorizing and re-authorizing ADE and Kobo device, deleting
I have done a reset and I want to read the ebooks I have on ADE but the following message appears. "This device cannot be authorized with your ID because you have reached the limit of devices that can be authorized with the same ID" How do I request an activation reset? Chat support doesn't help. ON FAQ, it says "If you reach the limit, contact Customer Service to reset your activations". I can't find their contact. How do I proceed?
Ik zie geen enkel boek in de bibliotheek staan. Heb ADE opnieuw geinstalleerd. Help
Hi,I am developing an app at the moment where I would love to be able to support Adobe DRM protected ebooks like Bluefire Reader does, but I haven't been able to find the information I am looking for yet. Is this something that would be possible? How do I get started? Also, I read on the Reader Mobile SDK website that there is a white labeled reader that I could use, but I don't need the actual reader, only the authorization part (I think)
downloaded pdf ebook and abobe digital editions only opens first page. . It is loaded in the library. Please help
hi there, i'm using Adobe digital edition 4.5 to read ebook. but can't use highlight or add notes function at all... Please help! Thanks a lots.
Somehow my desktop got activated with an old Adobe ID that is associated with an email/password I no longer have. I can only see instructions on how to deactivate by having a code sent to the associated email...which I no longer have. Adobe denies that the computer is associated with that email, but Digital Editions says it is... Any clue how I can rectify this and get it activated with the new Adobe ID?
Hello,I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions and created my account; however, whenever I go to download the e-book that was sent to me I get the following pop-up error message when I click the link to download the e-book: "Unable to Download: Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN" Please advise - thanks
In Adobe Digital Editions, how do I rename a publication listed in the library?
Now, this is a weird series of issues. At first, it would not let me authorise my personal PC I'm working on, because I could only authorise THE ONE I USED FIRST (my office's)... which I found senseless since I can authorise 6 devices, according to Adobe itself. Randonly enough, finaly a few hours ago, ADE let me authorise it, then it opened the DRM ebook as it usually did some weeks ago. I closed de app. Later, I tried to open it, then again, random problems: a white screen; any DRM ebook won't open, or would do randomly, then not. But last problems: only some hours ago, at least I could open any other EPUB (without DRM). But lately I just tried to, ADE just crashed. Touching any menu except Help would make it crash, too. I've been testing it because I work in a library and a reader asked for help. I thought that digital lending has been just a little bit hard for her to handle, so I've made some tests. And I just realize (because weeks ago, it was a
Hello - how can I save the highlights in Adobe Digital Editions and make sure they are still there when I close the application? I contacted someone via the Adobe chat function who was unable to help. Please advise. Thanks!
Buongiorno per poter leggere gli ebook' ho raggiunto il massimo dei dispositivi e vorrei deselezionare gli inattivi, ma non riesco da mio account
I have used ADE for years now ADE nolonger works. When downloaded it shows an image center screen with "loading library...". I have tried deleting and reloading, updated Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated....
This slow scrolling and page-turning on Adobe Digital Editions is terrible. Can this please be fixed with a patch. ThanksDenis
I am struggling to load a book onto my Kobo and the advised wisdom is to deauthorise and reauthorise your computer. However, my ADE is stuck using an old ID; I changed my email address with my Adobe Account, so the email address now doesn't work with the password, but the new email address hasn't transferred onto ADE. I can't change my email address back to the one on ADE, because I can no longer access the old email address to verify the change. I have also uninstalled the programme and resintalled it, but it just automatically goes back to using the old email address. I spoke to the chat agents but they were no help, and said that they can't give technical support for ADE because it is a free application. Does anyone have any idea how I can change the Adobe ID associated with my ADE? My fear is that it's not possible, but I have manged to change my email address with every other application / company I use, and this is the only exception!
I've used ADE on my laptop, but it crashed recently, and I've been using a different computer since then. Today I installed ADE on the new computer, and authorized it with an e-mail address I always use. However, I quickly realized that that was not the same e-mail address I had used as my ID when I was using ADE on my laptop, and now I can't access the book I need to read. I can't click on the Authorize button in the Help section, because I've used a new e-mail address on a new computer.Anyone know how to handle this situation? I'd like to get on with my school reading as soon as possible, but obviosly having made that stupid mistake is slowing down the process!
I switched Macs 5 days ago and have been unable to use ADE since. I keep getting errors when I try to open or add books (see pictures). I am unable to erase the authorization from my computer; I keep getting an error message telling me to "try again after some time." I tried uninstalling and re-installing the program and it's still not working. I contacted customer support and was told to post in the forum. I'm using the most recent edition of ADE and the Big Sur OS, same as I was on my previous Mac. I have a Kobo e-reader, which I had no trouble loading books onto until 5 days ago.
I read my last e -book on Ade on 14 february 2021.After this day I can't open this program .I can't understand what i can do. I tried many times to disinstall and reinstall programm, also ADE 3.0But everything has been useless.when i click on programm i can see a blue little wheel for a pair of second and stop.Could you help me?
