Digital Editions

Tried to lauch ADE on my laptop however, ADE 4.5.11.0 will not open or launch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the newer version of ADE and still have the same issue. Anyone else having this issue that can help?

Hello, I have download a book with acsm link. The title, the author is well display but when I try to read the ebook from my computer windows 10 it displays a grey screen, only page number. If I send it to my kobo h20 it is the same problem. What's wrong ? Best regards.

Hi,  I normally use a certain Adobe ID when I download ebooks at work which requirs an Authorization ID.  However I notices that when I authorize the my personal device using the same ID I saw the same title which are at my work device showing in my library but cannot be downloaded. Is there any way I can use the same ID with out having the said title to appear over and over again?Please advise. 

how do i update my email address in Digital Editions? I have previously purchased books under a different email address--these are on my ipad--- and now I have a new email address with a few books purchased. I would like to sync all books on my ipad and macbook across all devices (ipad;iphone;macbook) 

Does adobe offer any digital edition support or just chat rooms My computer died and I want to access my paid for books on a different computer.  Opened my account the ID and password and nothing shows.  

I created an Adobe ID when I dowloaded Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 and I was able to access my ebooks on my computer. However, when I downloaded the app from the Google Play Store and registered it with the same Adobe ID, I was not able to access those ebooks. What do I do?

Hi, I have installed Adobe Digital Edition on my MAC operating system, but I cannot download e-books because I receive the message: UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD, LICENSE RECOVERY ERROR. Communication problem with the license server. E_ACT_NOT_READY. I try to cancel the authorization and request a new license, this is impossible.Note that in my Iphone I can use Adobe Digital Edition, but not with my I-Mac. I followed these instructions:Mac OSOpen Adobe Digital Editions.Press Cmd-Shift-D to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.Select Cancel authorization.Click OK and exit Adobe Digital Editions.Go to / Users // Library / Application Support / Adobe / Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.but is always generated the message : it is impossible to cancel the authorization, try again later.Of course, the email and password I enter are correct. Please tell me how to do it, thank you.tiziana

Ah so frustrated! My dad has DAE and has downloaded his maximum 10 ebooks from his library- he has read them ahead of time (before they expire) and wants to return them to free up the licences to borrow more- how the hell do i do that using an ipad? the only option i can see is the bin to delete the files, but this isnt releasing the licences with the library who say the books have to be returned? just spent the most annoying half hour trying to get any sense out of an online chat convo with adobe who's only solution was to refer me here!  Can anyone help please?

Hello,I  haven't a difficuld time download my ebook on my android app. I followed the steps from the email instruction and authozised my phone device. But when i download my ebook form the instruction email, I am receiving an error message "Downloading Failed"What should i do now?

I tried to synchronize my new laptop with my ADE acount, but I received the error message: You are not able to synchronize this Computer with an Adobe-ID which was used before to synchronize other computers or devices. Try again.I don't have acces to the old laptop. How to proceed to clear all syncs from my account?Thanks 

Have just downloaded v4.5 to my pc (Windows 10) in order to download books from our public libraries; program appears to be installed O K.  Ordered book from library, but when ordered and then Download For ereader I get error message - Error! Check Activation.   Have been back into progarm Help/Authorisation Information, which confirms 'This computer is Already Authorised'.  To check if problem with the system or elswhere, brought up Adobe Digital Editions on another webpage and downloaded one of theit sample ebooks - but got the same error message.  Thanks for any help.

Hi.When I try to open a .acsm file, Digital Editions says "error, check activation", but it is not possible to cancel the authorization to do a new one, because it says "not possible to cancel the activation, try later".Try later is a fake of couse, because i tried several times without success.It is unuseful to unistall the application because it remembers the authorization and again the errors are the same.There were problems opening another .acsm from another (bad) source weeks ago, and the related IT support suggested some very bad actions that ruined the functioning of the application; it worked before that.Please save me.Thanks

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 -is not working if You want to read an E-book from the public library.I just spent an hour to understand why - without result.  

The new update seems to have fixed nothing in terms of allowing text-to-speech reading. I used to be able to do it three times out of ten, and on the rare occasion that it did work, it would stop reading after about a minute and refuse to work again. This is a serious accessibility issue. Most of us who use Mac computers can't access DAISY software, and it would be really nice to be able to read library ebooks on ADE with text-to-speech as an option. Please resolve. This has been a problem with Digital Editions since 2012.

Hi!I'm trying to upload Overdrive library books to my Nook device using ADE.  I authorized ADE on my computer so it lets me transfer the books to my Nook, but then when I try to open the book on the device it says "User Not Activated."  How do I fix this?

I get an error E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED. I searched for a solution and it said to email support to reset the count. I did so but they did not do anything except suggest this forum. I just need to open this book for my final.

Hola buenas tardes.Necesito ayuda porque no puedo abrir un libro que compre en la plataforma de Baja Libros.cuando lo intento, me pide el ID de proveedor que ya esta preestablecido y no coincide con el que me proporcionan desde la pagina oficial de bajalibros.com, y luego cmpleto con mi ID y contraseña de adobe y me sigue dando error Donde dice proveedor no me deja hacer cambios, y segun la pagina proveedora del  libro me  da otro ID, que deberia ser:BajaLibros, pero no tengo posibilidad de cambiarlo.Necesito que alguien me ayde, gracias.

I just downloaded an ebook, but as i tried to verify it via Adobe Digital Editions 4.5, the error message: E_LIC-ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOHER_USER pops up. Does anyone know what to do? I've got an ePub with DRM open in Digital Editions on my PC, but Android app on my phone (Galaxy S9 with Android V10) doesn't synch with my library even though I've authorised it and switch on Auto Download. I've tried connecting my phone to my PC and nada. When I try to open the ePub directly on my phone, the app crashes every time.

Using a Mac with High Sierra. Using ADE 4.5.8.182914. When I try to load an ebook, I get the error message "E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12", which is a deauthorization error message. I have researched and know that I have to go to Users/[[Your user account]]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. The problem is that there is no Digital Editions in Users/[[Your user account]]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. I've also done a search on my computer for an activation.dat file, but there is none. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE. I've tried uninstalling and installing an older version (3.0) with the same results. Any suggestions?Thanks,Craig
