When I tried to authorize my Kobo ereader (which I have used many times before) from my desktop computer (Windows), I got the error message E ACT TOO MANY AUTHORIZATIONS. (I have ADE on two computers and two Kobos, within the limit.) The solution, according to an Adobe web page describing exactly this problem, is to ask Adobe to reset my authorizations. I asked yesterday; today they informed me that my account is "good to go" and I must "reauthorize the account." I erased authorization and then authorized. Same outcome. Erased, then closed and opened ADE, and authorized. No good. Uninstalled and reinstalled ADE 4.511 twice. Got a new message: E STREAM ERROR. Uninstalled and reinstalled again, and now I am back to TOO MANY AUTHORIZATIONS. What is the solution?
Hello, I just downloaded adobe digital edition and I haven't even made single transfer. But I still get an error. Please Help.
MY ADE is working fine. I have one E-ereader KOBO, is also also working fine, is autorised through ADE. Now if i try to authorize my new second KOBO E-reader , i get the following messageE-ADEPT_User_UNKNOW. The effect is that I cannot read the english books i have in ADE on this second reader because of the DRM protection .I cab read them on my first reader and in ADE of course! Helpdesk ADOBE gave my all kind of suggetions , like re-autorise ADE. but that didn't work.

After trying to authorize a new device on Adobe Digital Editions, I received the following message: E_Act_Too_Many_Activation.Can reset my devices or add more authorization.Thank you.
During this COVID-19 crisis, I finally upgraded my desktop machine to Windows 10 (1903 Build 18362.720). I downloaded the latest Adobe Digital Editions to read some ePUB books from my local library which like many uses an Overdrive server to deliver .ascm files for the book. After 'browing' several ePUB books and downloading the associated .ascm files I tried to run the files to have ADE 'fulfill' the request. Every single book threw the E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TOO_SHORT error. I had never seen this error before in my several years of 'borrowing' ePUB books from my local library so I went back to my old laptop which is still running Win 7 SP2. Did a 'return' on the books I had 'borrowed' and rechecked them out with new .ascm file downloaded to the laptop. I then updated the laptop to the same version of ADE (4.5.11) and ran those same .ascm book files. All the books were 'Fulfilled' successfully by ADE and appeared in my default library view in ADE.Th
ADE on Microsoft PC surface Pro tablet windows 10 with only soft keyboards, reading book in PDF format. Navigation is by using PageUp and PageDown to change pages. Soft keyboard has no such keys. Also. Adobe support webpage shows a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page below the page numbers. There is no such scrollbar in my implementation. Version 4.5.10.186048. Any help would be most welcome
Hi. I have added a number of user created bookshelves (blue icons) to Digital Editions, but always the last bookshelf created is the last one in the bookshelf list. I would like these bookshelves to be ordered alphabetically. How can I do this? I would be grateful for any answer.
I have a kobo Glo. I have downloaded ade 4.5. My computer is authorized. ADE is not detecting my kobo ereader. I have tried the basic reset that kobo suggested and that has not worked. Any ideas? I ma using Windows 10. I previously had a sony reader and did not have this issue. Thanks
I know there has been a fair amount of kickback regarding ADE and Windows 10. In my case I have verified over and over that ADE 4.5.11 running on Win 10 1903 Build 18362.720 will NOT pull ePUB books from my public library. I consistently get the E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TOO_SHORT error message back from my local library server. Now as a further test to try and isolate this critical fault , I loaded a fresh copy of ADE 4.5.11 on another machine, my laptop running Win 7 SP2. Browsed to my local library ePUB download site and brought downloaded the same ePUB book .acsm file I tried on the Windows 10 machine. Voila, the .acsm file loaded into ADE and was processed perfectly and the ebook was deposited into the default library 'My Digital Editions'. Other older ePUB books are also readable in my Win 7 library through ADE without any problems. So its definitely the Windows 10 OS environment that ADE is choking over. I also tried on the same Win 10 inst
I am attempting to download books to my eReader via Adobe Digital Editions. I have done so before but has been a number of years. When I attempt to open the downloaded eBooks I get the message "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY". I've tried looking into this myself and the help centers suggest de-authorizing my ADE account and re-authorizing it. The problem is I do not remember the password to my adobe account and I no longer have access to the email that the account is registered to in order to reset/retrieve the password. I talked with someone at Adobe support who had me re-download and re-register. But upon opening the download it automatically opened to the original account and did not give me the option to utilize a new account.
Meu Adobe Digital Editions exibe a seguinte mensagem quando tento adicionar os meus arquivos ACSM, baixados do Google Play: "Erro ao obter a licença. Problema de comunicação com o Servidor de licença: E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED". Como resolver essa situação?
Even though Adobe digital editions arranges the font so I can read all the books text, the pages are cut so that half the illustration on a page may be cut off. There seems to be no way to enlarge, decrease the size, or move around a page so that I can see the whole illustration. Any help? Reading on a PC
I'm confused about how to use ADE. I want to be able to download an ebook, say from Gutenberg, or checkout or buy a DRM book, and-- 1. Have it available on more than one device.2. Have it available on more than one device without an Interent connection. I authorized one device, but when I tried to authorize a 2nd device, I got an error message that one device had already been authorized with the Adobe ID. Confused!
I have a Kobo that I use to get library books through their Overdrive system. Yesterday I downloaded 3 books...all downloaded but only 2 would open on my Kobo. Library suggested I do "erase device authorization" and then "reauthorize". I did that...now my laptop is authorized but not my Kobo. How do I get my Kobo to be authorized?
Tried to borrow a book, but the Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.11 simple does not work for this purpose. It's possible to load the book into the app, but from there it can neither be read nor transfered to a e-reader. Have tried to return and borrow the book.Reinstall the applicationUpdate to the latest versionAuthorize cycle both the app and reader Another issue with this program, it readds returned books, deleteing books simply cause them to be readded when the program is restarted. If you try to delete and redownload a book, then you end up with multiple copies of the same book.
My Kobo ereader has been working great, when all of a sudden, there is now an error that pops up when I try to open a book. The error says: "this document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign-in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again." I'm not sure why this popped up since I didn't do anything differently. I looked at a lot of forums to figure out what to do and it seems like I need to deauthorize my computer while in Adobe Digital Editions by pressing "Command" + "Shift" + "D". However, I am unable to deauthorize because Adobe Digital Editions is associated with an old email address and my password also does not work. I changed my Adobe ID password online in hopes that it would automatically apply to Adobe Digital Editions, however it has not. Can someone please help me with the following:1. How do I change my email and password with Adobe Digital Editions?2. A
Hi there, I have an old Kobo Touch where the new version of ADE doesn't work on my MAC. I've read on multiple forums that I need to install ADE Version 3.0 in order to me to download books to be transferred to Kobo Touch. However, after downloading 3.0 on my MAC, the installer says, 'The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.' Does anyone have tips on how I can get 3.0 on my MAC so I can read OverDrive books on my Kobo Touch?? https://community.adobe.com/t5/digital-editions/ade-3-0-weblink-broken/m-p/9688215?page=1#M53428
Is there a way to either:a) link two Adobe IDs together or b) reset the password on an old Adobe ID even though I no longer have access to that email account?I tried Chat and they suggested asking here about the password reset.
Hi there, I am trying to read libary books on my kobo e-reader. Kobo is telling me to deactivate my computer through Adobe Digital Editions, but the password (and vendor id) that they are asking me to enter are not working. I have not been entering in a Vendor ID (I dont have one) and the password I have been entering is not ever correct despite having Adobe change it. Adobe is telling me to go through my Mac and put a dat file in the trash, but I can't figure out how to do that. Can someone help me?

Hey! I have major problems getting Adobe digital edition to work (locked) My password has not worked since the last upgrade (4.5). When I download books from the library with "OverDrive" and try to get them into Adobe Digital Edition, this message comes up. E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12After a long chat with Adobe suport (4 different handlers) I tried to erase all Adobe prg from my computer (following their guidance) - I got myself a new email address and identity - but when I install AdobeDigitalEdition again, it is still locked to my old AdobeID and I can't erase the user . Is there a solution to this problem? Grateful for all the help !! Sisjön
I have several books downloaded to open in ADE, but are not showing up on my IPad
Hej, For some reason, the highlights are missing and have been lost in certain chapters. As, I see it in my library, it shows that I read the book one month ago, because of which my highlights are missing in the new chapters I read. Do you have any idea how I can retrieve the highlights back (or the previous read version of the book), because I have been reading the book continuously? What steps should I take in the future, so that this issue doesn't happen again (So basically how do I make sure my highlights are saved all the time when i mark them)?
