My Adobe Digital Editions is not detecting my NOOK tablet.  Please help

I have a Kobo e-reader that recently began showing the error message that my reader was not authorized for DRM to permit reading books borrowed from my public library after downloading the DRM file on ADE. In attempting to resolve the problem, I had uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it, deauthorized my reader and reauthorized it numerous times without success, and the last time I tried to reauthorize the reader, I got an error message that I could not authorize because I had reached the maximum number of computers/devices allowed per ID. As far as I know, I have only one PC and one e-reader authorized, and the maximum is supposed to be six. Why am I getting this erreor message?

Hello everyone. I have been using ADE for the past few months for school.Recently, ADE has crashed every time I have attempted to copy something, whether pressing ctrl + c, or right-clicking and copying text. I get a message that states that "ADE has stopped working...Windows will attempt to find a solution to this problem" or something to that extent.The text is not saved after it crashes.I can open ADE, and did not have this problem beforehand. I have tried a few solutions involving renaming or deleting certain files/folders, but nothing has helped.I am using these books for law school, and copying would make my readings easier. Please let me know if you have a solution. Thank you.

Does anyone know how to enable coping text from a non-Protected document in Adobe Digital Editions when using a clipboard manager like (Ditto, 3D Clipboard, or ClipX)?  When any of these clipboard managers are running Adobe Digital Editions will crash when trying to copy text.  If I exit out of the clipboard manager the copy works and Adobe DE stays running.Thoughts?  This my just be a coding issue in DE.  If so, can the technical group at Adobe look into this?  I have reproduced this on different computers running Windows 10 and made sure I was using the latest version of DE.Thanks,Shawn

Hello, Not able to read an ebook received, I have digital editions. I have adobe account. 

I have installed, uninstalled, re-installed, ran as administrator, saved to a different folder location, tried downing loading 3.0 instead of 4.5 - basically everything that I have found on forums and chat boards and I cannot get this program to open. There is no error message at all. I double click on the icon. Nothing happens. I right click and click open - nothing happens. I go to the start menu and find the program, click on it. Again, nothing happens. I right click on the shortcut and click "run as administrator" and once again, nothing happens. I have been reading blogs and forums for hours and cannot figure out what is wrong with this thing. This is very frustrating since it appears to be my only avenue to get ebooks from overdrive to my nook (at least that I can find). I also managed (miraculously) to get a live person with Adobe on a chat and he very quickly shut me down and referred me to the forums, which I had already spent hours researching. Any help on this topic would be

I downloaded a textbook onto PC without verifying my computer.Now I can't access it on my mobile. I need this book to study and can't afford to buy another copy - please help!

Installed 4.5 on my win 10 pc; upgrade from 4.0 which wasn't working either.Installed said it could not open "welcome.epub" so I skipped it. Program is installed but with the follwoing error messageE_IO_CANNOT_OPEN  Any ideas? Is there ANY support for this software? I haven't been able to get it to work since 2016.   

Good morning,  I have trouble accessing an ebook through Adobe Digital Editions. My Adobe Id was berbet86@yahoo.it. Your support assistant suggested me to change Id, which currently is betty@cobaltprojects.com.au. However, I still cannot access the ebook I purchased. Also the publishing company from where I have purchased the ebook have suggested me to use the same email (berbet86@yahoo.it) I used to buy the ebook on their website. I have been successfully been using ADE on my computer (Windows 10) for the last month to read my college class text book, then last week when I went to start the program it will not open. The cursor changes to the hourglass as if it is loading, but the program never opens. I have tried running it as administrator, and also re-installing it which doesn't change anything. I was instructed to download and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and then reinstall ADE and that hasn't worked either. I also read a forum thread of a similar issue that instructed to rename the My Digital Editions folder to My Digital Editions.old under My Documents, which also changed nothing. No one by phone has been able to fix this from my university's tech support as well as Adobe's support.

ADE showed my PocketBook Touch HD 3 as a device for the first book I borrowed and I was able to move the epub to the ereader. But now ADE will no longer find my PocketBook Touch HD 3.  I am using Windows 10 and ADE 4.5. I have reloaded and reauthorized and don't know what else to do. Thanks for any help.

I have recently purchased a Chromebook and want to be able to transfer my public library books to my Kobo using ADE. When I install ADE, authorize it and try to use it, I don't have any way to import/add a library book I have already downloaded. HELP! I have a library tab but now way to add. Thank you!

I accidently put 3 copies of the same book in the ADE library on my smart phone. I do not know how to delete the extra copies from the library. (Note that to delete files from the COMPUTER version of ADE is quite simple, but not so from the the SMART PHONE version of ADE. )Can you help me delete the redundant files? Thanks

I've been borrowing books from my local library's website via Adobe Digital Editions.  After uploading to Digital Editions, I then upload it onto my Barnes and Noble Nook e-reader.  Suddenly, it's stopped working and I keep getting the following error message:Errors were detectedThe following items could not be copied to your device<Book Title>.epub E_IO_WRITE-Failed to write destination fileIt doesn't seem to matter which book.  I've tried many different titles and keep getting same error message.

I have an account with adobe digital and regularily borrow books from the library through overdrive on my kobo reader. on my latest borrowing i downloaded four books and read 3 and when I went to open the 4th I was denied access, message reporting the reader was not authorized to open the book. i could still access the previous 3 and I could access and read the 4th on my laptop, but not on the kobo. I went on kobo and adobe sites trying to trouble shoot my problem and could not find any instance of authorization just dropping off the reader or corrective measure for the same. the closest I could come was to deauthorize both the reader and laptop and reauthorize using the password and id. I was successful in the former but in the latter I was stopped at authorizing the lapiop by an incorrect id/password message. I spent some time earlier on adobe chat line trying to resolve this and was advised to come here for the expertise i need to get a resolution to my problem

Hi. I installed ADE, but when I plug my Kobo Touch into my Windows 10 PC, ADE doesn't recognize it.  There is no 'Devices' option on the ADE screen.  What am I doing wrong?  (I tried ADE v. 4.5 and 3.0)

I'm trying to authorize my Kindle by plugging it into my pc, while ADE is open. My goal is to send the book from ADE to my Kindle, as my library FAQ tells me to. But the "Authorize computer" is grey, and the Authorization Info just says "This computer is already authorized".Also, your support says they can't "locate any active subscription under this account". I don't know what that means. And if I don't have an active account. how come I can open libabry books in ADE?

I changed my Adobe ID after shutting down my website, so had to change the old email which no longer existed to a new one. That worked for all my applications except Digital Editions which still seems to be connected to my old email and hence gives me the following error message when I try and add new library books:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12 How do I update my email in Digital Editions? I can't de-authorise from the old one as when I try and enter the old email and pw it just says 'Unable to Erase Authorization'. Maybe because that email no longer exists??? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works. How do I fix this?

I need to use this application to read a pdf from archive.org, but it is bad. There has to be a better way to read the drm content from archive.org. Because adobe digital editions is not a fully functioning e reader. Also I tried to get chat support and they fella told me to come here, please answer my question. also no I am not scouring your forum for duplicates because I tried to get answer the right way now I have to wait ages in your forum. Also please tell me why adobe digital editions is so bad when it is the standard?

I bought an ebook and authorized it on my computer without adobe ID and then wanted to change that so I could access it on my phone and Ipad. I deleted the file from ADE, reinstalled ADE and now I cannot even access my ebook as it says it was authorized under another user. Can someone please help?
