Digital Editions

I have been trying to download books from my local library to Adobe Digital Editions. I was prompted to update to version 4.5 last week and did so. Prior to this, I had no problems downloading the books. Since then I have not been able to download to Adobe. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times and with three different versions of Adobe Digital Editions. I have been directed by my local library to go to Default Programs and reset the ascm. For whatever reason, my computer will allow me to choose any other program on my computer except Adobe Digital Editions. I cannot select Adobe Digital Editions as the program to download to book to.  I've tried other programs such as Calibre and my computer will allow me to set the acsm for Calibre. However, my library does not format books for that program, so Adobe Digital Editions is my only option. I've been working at this for about five days and don't know what to do. I downloaded two ebooks from AMS Bookstore for my class to adobe digital editions. I had authorized them without an ID but recently changed some settings on my computer and now I get an error message that says I need to authorize with a vendor ID and I cannot open my books. What can I do to be able to get into my ebooks?

I want to reauthorize my E-Book-Reader (Kobo Glow HD) with my Adobe-ID. But I get the message E_Auth_unexpected_user. I update my adobe Digital Edition to 4.11, delete the Authorisation of ADE and add the authorization again. Which works fine, but I still get the messge E_Auth_unexpected_user when I tried to authorizate my E-Book Reader.

I need to start over with ADE, I have deleted my ID, thinking it would not be recognized when I resintalled but I have now ADE with my deleted ID email and no way to erase authorization or anything else, because said ID is locked by ADOBE.I created a new ID to get on this forum. 

When I down load the digital editions it authorizes with an old email address that is disabled so I can not change the authorization. how can I fix this /

D'abord, incapacité de restituer les prêts numériques, même si j'enlève les livres de la bibliothèque et dans mes fichiers, ils reviennent à chaque fois et lorsque je copie sur ma liseuse Kobo, la couverture est noire et je n'ai pas le droit d'ouvrir, le message est :  Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Ayant bloqué l'accès au livre, vous devez renouveler l'accès au livre et l'importer à nouveau en utilisant ADE. Et on me dit de consulter Kobo.help. Ce que j'ai fait. J'ai fait toutes les démarches pour réparer le compte de la liseuse, reconfigurer, enlever et remettre l'autorisation pour l'ordinateur et le périphérique. Je ne sais plus quoi faire pour avoir accès aux livres que l'emprunte. Avez-vous une solution?

I cannot cancel the authorisation of my Adobe Digital Edition. It was linked to a very old account and I have not the password anylonger. No "forgot your password" option. Have reinstalled the program but no change. Can you help? thank you. 

Nach der Installation 4.5.11 und dem ersten Versuch ein Magazin zu lesen habe ich gedacht ich habe eine uralte Windows 98 Version installiert. Die Software ist eine Katastrophe!!! Es ruckelt und zuckt und dauert ewig ehe sich die Seite bewegt, kein Touch, umständliches Zoom usw.Hallo  ist Euch das nicht peinlich!?

Hi Team, Any one responds below ADE 4.5.10 version issues? I have faced images loading issues in ADE 4.5.10 version. I have viewed full book, after that again reviewing the book from starting page all the image properly showing with out error. I have minimized the image size to the maximum without affecting the quality of the image, but we have faced same problem. Kindle check and advice. We were using ADE version 4.5 and not faced this image issue. In ADE 4.5.10 these issue has been noticed. I'm not able to read the ebook because they ask me to update and second email. I'm not able to enter my email second email I'd and password. I need to reset my email 

I am trying access an ebook protools fundamental 12.8 101 by Cook and I am unable to get past my email in adobe. Please help me I am behind in class and the error is asking me for another secondary email. Is there a way to reset or not?

I have a Kobo e-reader that recently began showing the error message that my reader was not authorized for DRM to permit reading books borrowed from my public library after downloading the DRM file on ADE. In attempting to resolve the problem, I had uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it, deauthorized my reader and reauthorized it numerous times without success, and the last time I tried to reauthorize the reader, I got an error message that I could not authorize because I had reached the maximum number of computers/devices allowed per ID. As far as I know, I have only one PC and one e-reader authorized, and the maximum is supposed to be six. Why am I getting this erreor message?

Hello everyone. I have been using ADE for the past few months for school.Recently, ADE has crashed every time I have attempted to copy something, whether pressing ctrl + c, or right-clicking and copying text. I get a message that states that "ADE has stopped working...Windows will attempt to find a solution to this problem" or something to that extent.The text is not saved after it crashes.I can open ADE, and did not have this problem beforehand. I have tried a few solutions involving renaming or deleting certain files/folders, but nothing has helped.I am using these books for law school, and copying would make my readings easier. Please let me know if you have a solution. Thank you.

Does anyone know how to enable coping text from a non-Protected document in Adobe Digital Editions when using a clipboard manager like (Ditto, 3D Clipboard, or ClipX)?  When any of these clipboard managers are running Adobe Digital Editions will crash when trying to copy text.  If I exit out of the clipboard manager the copy works and Adobe DE stays running.Thoughts?  This my just be a coding issue in DE.  If so, can the technical group at Adobe look into this?  I have reproduced this on different computers running Windows 10 and made sure I was using the latest version of DE.Thanks,Shawn

Hello, Not able to read an ebook received, I have digital editions. I have adobe account. 

I have installed, uninstalled, re-installed, ran as administrator, saved to a different folder location, tried downing loading 3.0 instead of 4.5 - basically everything that I have found on forums and chat boards and I cannot get this program to open. There is no error message at all. I double click on the icon. Nothing happens. I right click and click open - nothing happens. I go to the start menu and find the program, click on it. Again, nothing happens. I right click on the shortcut and click "run as administrator" and once again, nothing happens. I have been reading blogs and forums for hours and cannot figure out what is wrong with this thing. This is very frustrating since it appears to be my only avenue to get ebooks from overdrive to my nook (at least that I can find). I also managed (miraculously) to get a live person with Adobe on a chat and he very quickly shut me down and referred me to the forums, which I had already spent hours researching. Any help on this topic would be

I downloaded a textbook onto PC without verifying my computer.Now I can't access it on my mobile. I need this book to study and can't afford to buy another copy - please help!

Installed 4.5 on my win 10 pc; upgrade from 4.0 which wasn't working either.Installed said it could not open "welcome.epub" so I skipped it. Program is installed but with the follwoing error messageE_IO_CANNOT_OPEN  Any ideas? Is there ANY support for this software? I haven't been able to get it to work since 2016.   

Good morning,  I have trouble accessing an ebook through Adobe Digital Editions. My Adobe Id was berbet86@yahoo.it. Your support assistant suggested me to change Id, which currently is betty@cobaltprojects.com.au. However, I still cannot access the ebook I purchased. Also the publishing company from where I have purchased the ebook have suggested me to use the same email (berbet86@yahoo.it) I used to buy the ebook on their website. I have been successfully been using ADE on my computer (Windows 10) for the last month to read my college class text book, then last week when I went to start the program it will not open. The cursor changes to the hourglass as if it is loading, but the program never opens. I have tried running it as administrator, and also re-installing it which doesn't change anything. I was instructed to download and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and then reinstall ADE and that hasn't worked either. I also read a forum thread of a similar issue that instructed to rename the My Digital Editions folder to My Digital Editions.old under My Documents, which also changed nothing. No one by phone has been able to fix this from my university's tech support as well as Adobe's support.

ADE showed my PocketBook Touch HD 3 as a device for the first book I borrowed and I was able to move the epub to the ereader. But now ADE will no longer find my PocketBook Touch HD 3.  I am using Windows 10 and ADE 4.5. I have reloaded and reauthorized and don't know what else to do. Thanks for any help.

I have recently purchased a Chromebook and want to be able to transfer my public library books to my Kobo using ADE. When I install ADE, authorize it and try to use it, I don't have any way to import/add a library book I have already downloaded. HELP! I have a library tab but now way to add. Thank you!

I accidently put 3 copies of the same book in the ADE library on my smart phone. I do not know how to delete the extra copies from the library. (Note that to delete files from the COMPUTER version of ADE is quite simple, but not so from the the SMART PHONE version of ADE. )Can you help me delete the redundant files? Thanks
