Digital Editions

When I got a new computer I synced DE on the new one and the books I had was synced but not the bookshelves so now I had to manually make new bookshelves and put each book in the right bookshelf. Why is this? Most of the books were borrowed but expired books but I like to keep them so I can easily remember them if I want to re-read them (childrens books are often re-read). The books also have lost their pictures that still existed on the old computer although they were expired.Why don't the bookshelves synd although the books do?Why don't the pictures of the books sync although the books do?Is there a problem with borrowed and/or expired bookd?

I am trying to access an eScript on my iPhone.  I have it on my iPad.  I had reset my password and I keep getting an error message that the file is on another user. Adn then I tried to open it in Bluefire and it wants me to log on in the additional user.  Please advise.

Can I use the ADE library separately to stamp the page numbers in an EPUB.I mean is it an open source library, that any one can use?

When I try to sign in to my Adobe  digital editions I can't do it.It keeps saying try again! I give the correct info though.

I have an account with Next Step Prep which required me to download Adobe Digital Editions. I initially downloaded to my computer which has been running slow.I tried to access the books from two other devices since Next Step‘s email said it would be accessible from multiple devices. However, I am unable to download any of the books. It says it is being used, which is confusing.

Hello,few days ago I bought an ebook. I downloaded this ebook before my computer was authorized via my Adobe ID. I was able to read the book on my computer but was not able to send it to my Cybook reader. I am not very familiar with ADE software so I thought that when I will authorize my computer via my Adobe ID, I would be able to copy my ebook to my reader. So I did. As a result I am not able to open the book neither with or without my Adobe ID now. Always this error occures: Error getting licence - E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFULLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. Is there any solution please? I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you very much.

I'd already de- & then re-authorize Adobe Digital Editions countless times. When attempting to sync library book(s), it sometimes says "reader for PC has stopped working" or syncing goes on long time but when open e-reader, new book(s) not downloaded or imported.  What am I missing ?!  HELP PLEASE !

Please help;  ade 4.5.10 installed on acer android tablet iconia stopped adding new books (epub) downloaded from public libraries.  can see on computer, but it doesn't show in ade library. How to fix that?Thank you in advance.  Inna

My Kobo did an automatic update and then any content I transferred from adobe digital editions to the kobo gave me an error saying I did not have the proper permission to read it when I tried to open it on the Kobo. I went back to try and figure out the problem tonight and when I tried to transfer content from the Public Library download library to the digital editions I got a message that said "Error. Check Activation"

when i try to download a book from public library on my kobo get the following message this document is protected by adobe digital rights managemsnt and is currently not authorized for use with your adobe id. please sign in with the authorized adobe id and try again. i have signed in but still not working any help

Hello,I want to open e-books that i have downloaded on my e-reader. But when I try to open it it says:This file can not be opened.This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is currently not accessible with you Adobe ID. Sign in with the autorized Adobe ID and try again.I have authorized the pc and the -ereader with the same email adress, but on the site that i have dowloaded books from, I use two other adresses. Can anyone help me?

I deleted activation.dat file to reauthorize the comp and I did it but now none of the ebooks work: Unable to open ....The original file is missing. What can I do now?

Hi,Since I updated my MacBook Pro to Mos Mojave 10.14.5 I do have a problem downloading my ebooks to adobe digital edition 4.5. It states E_ACT_NOT_READY. I found in another forum that I need to deauthorize ADE. However, then I need to enter a password which I do not know anymore and is different from that of Adobe in general. I also fail to delete (the hidden) file of ADE regarding the authorization. What can I do??

I am trying to install Digital Editions onto my new laptop running Windows 10 PRO but when I try to authorize it it wont accept my id and/or password. I have been trying for hours and with the help of on-line technicians as well but I can't seem to get access to the books I had in my Library.I have tried everything I can think of including all my old passwords. When I finally rang another number I was given I was told I would have to pay $150 for help transferring my files. This sounded really outrageous - is this really Adobe saying this to me - or is it some kind of scam? Please help - I am really confused and don't know what to do next. I was trying to use Adobe Digital Editions for a class that I am taking. When I went to open the book, it says that "the original document is missing." What should I do?

A couple of weeks ago ADE stopped opening DRM-free epub3 books (all epub3 format. Epub2 still opened fine). Cf ADE 4.5.10 won't open ANY epub3 files on Windows 8.1  An ADE support tech told me to delete the Adept registry key and re-authorise. I did that, and epub3 DRM-free books now open fine again.HOWEVER, ever since I deleted the registry key the first time, EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to download a book WITH DRM, I get a "check authorisation" error and have to delete the registry key and re-authorise the pc (using the same account each time).This is getting seriously old, does anyone have a PERMANENT fix for this problem ??Using ADE 4.5.10 on windows 8.1.Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

I have not seen this particular problem here (though I may have missed it). If anyone - especially somone from Adobe or 3M cloudLibrary - knows how to deal with this, I am all eyes. Please bear with me while I recount the story.I bought a Kobo many years ago and installed ADE. Borrowed many books and read them successfully. The ADE upgraded and the autohorisation somehow stopped getting through to Kobo. The workaround that many suggested, and that works, is to downgrade ADE to version 3.0, which I did. All was well for a few years, until about a month ago. One of my libraries has a  QuickRead feature (borrow a book for a week) that requires cloudLibrary. I installed it, borrowed my first book, renewed it (it was 500 pages long, a bit much for a week) and read it. This was 2 weeks ago. Last week I borrowed a book and it would not open in Kobo (authorisation). Of course, as many noted, I could not deauthorise ADE, so I had to edit the registry, remove the appropriate entry, reinstal

HiI have an old Adobe-ID since many years. I registrated this Adobe-ID by buying an ebook reader. Many Ebooks are linked with this ID.I have now a new reader with a new app - bluefire. I should now deposit the Adobe-ID in the reader. But I can't: There is no such Adobe-ID known, says Adobe-Support.Quesitions:1 Can I renew this Adobe-ID? Unfortunately is no emailaccount linked with this ID, so that I can't receive an confirmation email.2  Can I create an new Adobe-ID (made already for registration in this forum) and transfer my ebooks to them?3 Possible to replace the emailadress for this account with the oldone (no mailbox!)4 Possible contact anyone from Adobe to clear all the several Adobe-Ids i've createdThank you for any help to solve my problemsKind regardsPeter

I want to replace a reading device, but cannot active the new one because of too many activated devices. After searching the internet, I could not find a place to open a support case, and did not get a response in the web chat. Please, Adobe, please reset my activations. Thanks!

HelloI have the following questions:Is it possible to save/back up bookmarks, notes and highlights in Adobe Digital editions? Is it possible to transfer/synch bookmarks, notes and highlights to another device? Is it possible to export bookmarks, notes and highlights and make them available in any other form? When i remove a book from my ADE an redownload it, i cannot acces my bookmarks, notes and highlights although the .annot file is still in place (C:Users\Username\Documents\My Digital Editions\Annotations). Is there any way to make this work?Altough registered in ADE, my ebooks are different on Win 10 and Android (bookmarks, notes and highlights are not shared).  ebook format: PDFADE version: 4.5.10.185749System: Win 10 and AndroidI have tried to find an answer on the internet an in these forums but there seem to be only old and mostly unanswered topics. Unable to download on Digital Editions.I am getting the error message: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERI deauthorized and reauthorized both my tablet and computer with the same ID and password. Finally I changed my password but to no avail.The error message is still coming. Thank you for your help!

Hello,I am using Adobe Digital Editions (ver 4.5.1). Whenever an .acsm file is added to the library, the application constantly freezes upon freezing. After killing the process in Task Manager and re-opening, the application works normally until interacting with an .acsm file.Opening/interacting on .epub files work normally, the freezing only occurs with .acsm files.I attempted to use an older version of Adobe DE (3.0). Again .epub files functioned normally. But opening .acsm files produced an Activation Server error (code: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL).I'm not exactly sure what the error is referring to, or how to go about rectifying is. Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated

I cannot open book in ADE.  The title is grayed out. I have erased the authorization, uninstalled ADE, deleted .exe file, deleted ADEPT via REDEDIT, and emptied the recycle bin. Then I restart my computer. Download ADE software and authenticate.  I download a book from Overdrive.  Again, grayed out and can't open.  Any suggestions?
