Digital Editions

I have purchased a new ebook reader ( KOBO ). Followed all the install instructions on both devices. Downloaded library book to ADE app. Connected device to computer. Device says connected and computer also shows connected. Go to ebook on ADE and select download to device. KOBO ereader shows up, Select download now. Screen goes to downloading and nothing happens. Tried multi times. Even removed install and tried again. What to Do?

While downloading an epub, ade freezes by the end of the download, before the download counter has disappeared. When closing ade, ade crashes. When opening ade the book is present in the library. When right clicking the book and clicking read, ade freezes. Then when closing ade, ade crashes. This only happens for some books, not all.I have tried uninstalling ade and deleting all ebooks. Then the first download succeeded, and i can read the book. The second download ended as described above.Is there a solution for this problem?

Hi All,Purchased two e-books through the Google Play store as have done previously. Attempted to load with ADE to Kobo e-reader.Wifey had wiped the computer so had to reinstall ADE to do so. Inadvertently authorised the computer without entering my adobe ID details as couldn't remember at the time. When I went to open the books on the Kobo it said they were DRM protected.I have removed the authorisation from ADE and re-authorised using my adobe ID but when I try to add books to library it says the device limit has been reached, or if I add the actual files (rather than the download links) it says that they have been authorised by another user.Any way that I can remove the authorisation from the account that they have been allocated to and reallocate to mine so that I can actually read the books?!TIA

I have Adobe Digital Editions on my iPad and NOTHING DOWNLOADS!  It doesn’t matter whether I’m using safari, chrome, etc., it just won’t download anything.  Then, I can’t get any help at all.  There’s no customer service so they can fix this problem, but they still have the app on the Apple app store.  Why?  IT DOESN’T WORK.  Look at the reviews and you’ll see.  Hopefully, someone will see this and contact Adobe (since there’s apparently no way except through these forums) and let people know why nothing downloads.  We’d like to see this problem fixed.  Anyone?

Hi, I have Adobe Digital Editions installed on my PC and I do not recognize the login. Actually, it is a mix between my institutional email (@unm.edu) and my personal email (fabiano.t.amorim). Since this email does not exist, I do not have the password and cannot "erase computer authorization". I have deleted the software and reinstalled but it does not change the login. Any suggestion? I just bought an ebook with DRM and I installed it on my computer and also on my phone but on my phone I had to use apps and authorise but I had some problems with the apps and deleted them but now adobe-id still thinks these apps are authorised and now all of my five authorisations spots are taken but I only use one and that's the one on my computer. When I install the apps I have to authorise again so I can't even de-authorise myself. Is there anyone that knows whzt to do?

I have purchased and downloaded an ebook from my campus bookstore. When I went to read a chapter yesterday, using Adobe Digital Editions 4.5, the textbook was no longer there. Is there a way I can re-download the ebook for reading? I no longer have the activation code saved..Thank you!

I got a free kindle Paperwhite from an acquaintance and I found out will not run adobe. The Open Archive Consortium (essentially the Library of Congress) has the book titles I want to read, but I cannot get downloaded to my Kindle. I can't believe threads are going back since 2012 on this issue. OverDrive is pathetic they have none of the titles I am looking for. Essentially the Kindle is useless to me. Following a brief chat with customer service on twitter they suggested I post a comment on here to get some support with transferring an ebook from my desktop app to my mobile app of Digital Editions. Despite following the step by step guidance my device does not show on the left so it is not possible to drag the book over - please help!

Now that Sony doesn't have their store anymore, if I buy a sony ereader T1, will the adobe reader still be able to be downloaded so that I can read my books?  I have a Sony 950 but after 7 years I think it is crashing and burning so I'm thinking of buying a new Sony ereader....partly because it has the ability to have external memory But if I can use the reader program anymore, then it will be a waste of money.  Please help!

Hi, I purchased a book on my cell phone. The pages are too small and I prefer to read the book on my computer. When I open the application on my computer, after completing authorization, the book is not there. I have erased authorization and put it back several times. I have also closed and reopened the application several times and nothing.I was under the impression that we could view our eBooks on any device as long as we identify ourselves. Is this not the case?What is the point of this application is we can only view our books on the device that made the purchase?Please advise.Thanks,

When I downloaded Digital Edition, it started up in Chinese. It does that every time I try to download it, and I can't find anything in settings etc. Is there any solutions?

HELP! I have bought an Ebook from www.world-of-digitals.com. I have downloaded it to my desktop as a ".acsm" file. There support says I should be able to open it in Digital Editions but I am getting an error message. I have created an adobe account and have authorized the software before downloading. Am I missing something here?

I am getting the error message when I attempt to erase authorization "unable to erase authorization- please try after some time" and this has been happening for a few days.  I called Adobe and the gentleman that I spoke with said that he is unable to fix this issue and that the Adobe employees working on this forum can fix the issue so I am emailing to get this resolved please and thank you.

Hello, I have bought one book. However, my PC doesn't open the software "Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.8" after some uses. Now, I'm trying to authorize this book on another computer, but as I choose "authorize my computer without ID" option, I can't access to this book on my other PC. I need this book urgently so, is this possible for you to send me another token for this book or by pdf? Otherwise, can you tell me how to get this book on another computer. I have changed my email and it is current in Adobe.  However, when I uninstall and reinstall Adobe Digital Edition, it continues to authorize my computer to the old email.  I have attempted to erase authorization of the old email, but it tells me "Unable to erase authorization.  Please try after some time"  What does that mean?  It does me no good!!  What can I do so I can use Adobe Digital Edition? 

Hisince ages there is this problem with ADE and crashes (Windows AND MAC) -I do not look for any solution anymore at adobe directly- i gave it up!!!!!!! it is so incredible .... cause also there is nearly NO alternative!!!!!!!!i can not afford every book!this is why I want to read books from the library.BUT with this horrible possibility from adobe (for mac nearly tho ONLY possibility)it is so unbelievable!I want to know please from adobe:do you still work on/at this software with concentration and solution????will there be hope????????do you take our critics in serious ?do you "work" by yourself with the program?why is it so so complicated for you to solves the software or make a complete NEW one??thanx for an concret anwser adobemia

Hello!I've recently bought my son a PocketBook ereader and, at the moment of authorizing it with our family Adobe ID, I had forgotten it. So I changed my password on the adobe website and troubles began : I can read on this ereader books bought AFTER the password change, but not BEFORE (even if I download them again) : I get the message "E_ADEPT_USER_UNKNOWN.We've got 3 other ereaders and they accept book bought before or after the password change.Any idea how to make the mew ereader accept old books? I've bought tons of children novels for my daughter, and I'd prefer not having to buy them again for my son...Thanks for the help!Ack
